"Hey I'm going out, I'll be back soon."

"Bella, dad told us to stick together if one of us were to leave. What about Victoria? You know she's after us."

"Soph it'll be fine, and dad doesn't have to know if you don't tell him."

"$20."

"Why, because you lost it to Embry?"

"Do you want me to tell dad?"

"Here." She hands me the note and I watch her with dread as she leaves.

An hour passed and I received a phone call.

"Hello?"

"Soph are you alright?"

"Yeah dad I'm fine, why what's up?"

"It's Harry. I'm sorry sweety, but he had a heart attack during our hunting trip and um, he passed."

"Omg. Dad, I'm on my way, Seth and Leah must be taking it pretty rough."

"I'll let them know you're coming around. Cya soon."

I quickly gathered my things and ran off. I'd say it took me around 20 minutes to jog down to the rez. I was a yard from Harry's house when I noticed two wolves in the forest.

"Seth? Leah? Hey, it's okay, it's going to be okay. I understand you're scared and confused right now, but you need to calm down enough to shapeshift into your human forms. Your mum and the rest of the council will tell you what's happening. Just think of your human form, and take deep breaths okay. I'm here for you."

Embry and Jared came and found us with some clothes in their hands. I took them off them and forced them to leave, knowing full well, that the two siblings will be embarrassed.

Slowly but surely they managed to get back to their human selves, I closed my eyes giving them privacy and stretched out my hands with the clothes in.

"Thanks." They both mumbled to me. I have no idea what it is like losing a parent, however, I know that they know that I will be there for them.

I consider them family, and I'll do anything for them.

"I'll leave you guys for the rest of the pack, I need to take this. Hello?"

"Soph you need to come home, Alice is here."

"I'm on my way, I'll be about 20 minutes."

"Ok."

I left without even seeing my dad and rushed back home, even though it hadn't been that long since I left it.

I walked in and I crashed Alice with a hug. She was the first Cullens I befriended, so it's good to see her. "Come sit with us, we were just talking."

I sat down and noticed Bella's hair wet. "Why's your hair wet?"

"Bella here went cliff diving."

"Harry just died, were you asking to join him? Bella the currents are too strong, you're lucky to be alive."

"I know Soph."

"Bella, Sophie what is that god-awful wet dog smell?"

"Um, that's probably me or it's Jacob."

"I think it might be me, I was with Harry's kids and the other two knuckleheads."

"Jacob who?"

"Jacob's kinda a werewolf."

"Yeah, and I'm kinda dating one."

"Werewolves are not good company to keep."

"Speak for yourself. I had to see you were safe." Jacob came into the room and gave us a look.

"I thought you couldn't protect me here."

"Guess I don't care."

"Well, I'm not going to hurt her."'

"No, you're just a harmless Cullen. I'm talking about the other bloodsucker who tried to kill Bella because of you."

"Victoria?"

"Yeah, Victoria's been around."

"I didn't see her. I didn't see you get pulled out of the water either. I can't see past you and your pack of mutts!"

"Don't get me upset."

"Hey, stop."

"Or things are gonna get very ugly!"

"Stop, stop, stop, stop."

"We'll give you a minute."

Alice and I headed for the door. "Hey. You're not going anywhere. You're gonna come back, right?"

"As soon as you put the dog out."

We walked off and waited outside. To kill some time, Alice told me of her adventures and what's been happening ever since they left. I told her my story as well, about Bella's sleeping and how Paul and I ended up together. She didn't like the idea that I was mates with a werewolf, however, she accepted him which made me happy.

I just hope the others could accept him as well. I'd hate it if my friends didn't like my boyfriend.

"Alice, what is it?" Alice drifted off into space, meaning she's having a vision.

Alice rushed inside with me behind her. "Bella. Bella, it's Edward. He thinks you're dead. Rosalie told him why I came here."

"Why would you...? Why didn't you let me speak to him?"

"He didn't ask for you."

"I don't care!"

"Bella, he's going to the Volturi. He wants to die too."

Bella and I hurried and packed a bag grabbing our passports as Alice arranges the plane tickets. I don't know who or what the Volturi are, although by the sounds of things it's not a very good thing.

"Alice, you're gonna explain who or what this Volturi is, right?"

"I'll explain everything to you on the plane."

We left Jacob behind and rushed off toward the airport. "So when we save Edward can we go shopping."

"Soph, Edward is going to go to die and all you're thinking about is shopping?"

"Well, you said we're off to Italy, that's like a shopping haven."

"Once we rescue Edward I'll take you shopping."

"Yes!"

We landed in Tuscany and drove rather wildly through the beautiful countryside. I must say I definitely have to come back here, it's beautiful.

"So I'm guessing you didn't rent this car?"

"I figured you wouldn't be opposed to grand theft auto."

"Not today. What? What do you see?"

"They refused him."

"So...?"

"He's gonna make a scene. Show himself to the humans."

"No! When?"

"He's gonna wait until noon when the sun's at its highest."

"Alice, you gotta hurry up."

"There's Volterra."

"Why are they all in red?"

"Saint Marcus Day festival. They're commemorating the expulsion of vampires from the city. It's the perfect setting. The Volturi will never let him get far enough to reveal himself."

"We have five minutes."

"You know, Bella, just breathe."

We drove through the city trying to avoid any collisions with people until a police officer stopped us from driving any further.

"Alice!"

"Bella, you're the only one he can't see coming. If I go, he will read my thoughts, he'll think I'm lying he'll rush into it."

"Where do I go?"

"He'll be under the clock tower. Go!"

The officer spoke to Alice and she soon reversed the car and parked it. "Alice, did Bella make it?"

"Yes. The Volturi are wanting to talk to them, come on we have to go."

"Well lead the way."

We make our way through the crowd of red and found ourselves under the clock tower.

"Come on, guys. It's a festival. You wouldn't want to make a scene."

"We wouldn't." The tall broad shoulders vampire said.

"Enough." This young-looking girl walks toward us.

Damn, she looks serious, has she ever smiled in her life?

"Jane."

"Aro sent me to see what was taking so long."

The girl walked off and everyone started following her.
