We arrive at Jakes home, he and I got dressed ready for the beach. Jake and I walked to the beach, as it wasn't that far.

"Why don't we go cliff jumping instead? It'll be so much fun."

"Why not, it's your birthday."

"Come on." I grabbed his hand and led him to the biggest drop off section.

"Maybe we should go to one of the lower levels."

"Someone scared Black?"

"Of course not. I just don't want you to get hurt that's all."

"Suuure, I believe you."

I looked down at the water, smiling before getting out of my swimwear cover up.

I turned to see Jacob staring at my body. I raise my eyebrows to which he gives me a cheeky grin before taking his shirt off, to reveal his toned body. Damn he has abs.

"Guess I'm not the only one staring." He chuckles.

"I can't help it. I mean look at you. You've grown."

"So have you, puberty did you good."

"Why thank you, you to. Come on Jakey, the water looks great from here. I can't wait to jump in."

"Ladies first."

"With pleasure."

Taking a few steps back, I wink at Jake before starting my run toward the edge. To be extra, I performed a perfect double twisted back hand spring, landing on my hands before pushing off the edge of the cliff, facing Jake once more giving him a huge smile while lifting both my hands up to give him the finger, before leaning back to do some more twists and flips before diving into the water below.

I swim up to the surface of the water looking straight up at Jake who was peering down at me from above. I watched as he takes a few steps away from the edge, up until I couldn't see him, I waited a few seconds wondering if he'd actually jump, or if he'd just leave me here.

A smile landed its way onto my face when I saw his figure leap over the edge coming straight for me. I shielded myself and laughed when he splashed right beside me.

"Nice dive up there Soph, you were a natural."

"Thanks. You know for a second I thought you bailed on me."

"I'd never bail on you."

Little did I know that, that promise would soon be broken.

After spending almost the entire day with Jake, it was time to go home and get myself ready. Rosalie had spoken to me early this morning over the phone, speaking of a birthday party being held at their place for me and Bella.

Jake and I got back to his house during sunset. We walked in and Jake was kind enough to let me take a shower first. Getting dressed in the clothes from this morning I said goodbye to Jake as he went for his shower.

I was planning on walking home seeing as it was so beautiful and fresh outside. I stepped out the house, surprised to see Billy with two shirtless guys.

"You off, Soph?"

"Yeah. I have some party thing the Cullens invited me and Bella to."

As soon as I mentioned the Cullens all three turned a bit sour, however I simply ignored it.

"So your sister is the one dating the Cullen?"

The taller of the two strangers asked.

"His name is Edward and yes."

"They're bad to hang around, you should stop seeing the ." The younger one stated quite rudely.

Without even looking at them, I replied. "You can't tell me who I can and can't be around, or who I can and can't be friends with. The Cullens are good people, they have helped me and Bella many times. You obviously don't know them. You don't even know me, whatever your names are."

God, they sure know how to bug people.

"I'm sorry, Paul was out of line. My name is Sam Uley, this is Paul Lahote."

I ignore Paul and focus more on Sam. "As in Emily Young's fiancé?"

"Yes?"

My attitude quickly changing.

"I've heard so much about you, all good things I swear."

"How do you know Emily?"

"I met her a few times whenever we bumped into each other at Uncle Harry's."

"Soph? Didn't you say you needed to be somewhere?"

"Oh shoot, I have to hurry if I want to get home on time. Bye uncle Billy, by Sam it was nice to meet you."

I started to walk quite quickly, I was about to reach the road when Sam asked the most clingiest, most stupidest, most infuriating question ever.

"Why don't Paul drive you home?"

"No!" Both Paul and I shouted at the same time, quite desperately. I could see in my peripheral vision Paul looking at me.

"What do you mean no? Any girl would die to have me drive them home?" I just rolled eyes.

"What do I mean?! What do you mean? Any guy could only dream of even being in my presence."

"Enough both of you." Billy said sternly, however with a hint of humor.

"Paul you will take Sophie home, to make sure she gets there alright."

"Yes Sam."

"No thanks I'd rather walk."

I turn to go, as I hear Paul sigh.

"Let me just drive you, it'll be quicker."

"No." I continue to walk off.

"Stop being stubborn and get in the car, it'll save you from breaking your ankles in those heels."

"Beauty is pain."

"You can't simply walk all the way home in heels."

"Watch me." By this time, I'm down the road with Paul on my heels.

"You give me no choice then." Paul grabs me by the hips and flings me over his shoulder. I give a scream in surprise.

"Put. Me. Down. You giant heated baboon."

"Is that the best you can come up with?"

"Yes, cause your body heat is quite nice. Too bad your an ass."

Paul walked all the way back to his ute, with Billy and Sam watching in amusement. The big oaf literally chucks me in the front seat and closes the door shut. I went to open the door, however the damn ass locked it.

I swore under my breathe, cursing the motherfucker out of this world while crossing my arms, it may have looked like a toddler or young child having a tantrum. He got in and drove off to my house.

" Now, now princess, no need to be so feisty. Only big girls can swear. Hahaha."

"Whatever, just take me home."

The car ride was silent the rest of the way. Not once did I look in his direction. As soon as we arrived, I immediately got out, not wanting to be in that car with him anymore.

"Where's my thank you, princess?!"

"You don't deserve one. And my name isn't princess you butthole."

With that I pulled the finger at him as I sashayed away.

Once I was ready, Rosalie who was kind enough to pick me up, drove us to her house for the party.
