《Sophie Swan: P.L》Chapter three:

It's a slippery day, dad took the truck out to get new tires put on. Bella and I exit our house as it started to rain. Bella was in front of me and not surprisingly since it was wet Bella the uncoordinated thing she is slipped and fell. Dad came rushing over to help her up, whereas I tried to avoid the slippery places trying to reach the truck in one piece.
"Well, I'll probably be late for dinner. Gotta head down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham mill got killed by some kind of animal." Dad walked toward his cruiser and opened the driver door.
"An animal?" Bella and I ask at the same time.
"You're not in Phoenix anymore girls. Anyway, I figured I'd lend a hand."
"Be careful."
"Yeah."
"Always am."
"And thanks for the tyres."
"Yeah."
Bella and I got in and she drove us to school.
Our classes were boring as school usually is, although art was pretty fun, I got to meet Edward properly at lunch when I sat with them and he said he was going to introduce himself to Bells which I thought was nice.
Bella and I walked to the truck, I was waiting for Bells to finish putting something in her bag when a van came skidding right toward us. I saw that Tyler was driving. Everything was happening so fast, that we barely had any time to react. However, before the van could hit us, let alone touch us a hand stopped it. Bella and I looked up to see Edward had stopped the van with his bare hand, while crouching down over both me and Bella in a protective hug.
Everyone came rushing toward us calling out to us, screaming, telling us that the ambulance has been called. Tyler was calling out from the window saying how's he's sorry and that he tried to stop, however Bella and I could barely focus on anything else but the fact that Edward Cullen had stopped the moving van with his bare hand and saved us, all without dying or injuring himself.

I knew at that moment that something was most definitely up, and that Bella wouldn't give up until she knew the truth. I on the other hand was just thankful that I lived, I mean sure I'm also curious to know how he did it, but unlike my sister I don't really like to fret. I'm chill and just glad that he had the strength to do that.
Edward rushes off to god knows where and Bella and I were taken to the hospital. We both were fine just a bit shook up. I couldn't say the same for Tyler as his head was bleeding, but other than that we were all good.
"Bella, Soph." I saw my dad walk in through the door and I calmed down a bit, as I was still shocked. I got up and gave him a hug.
"Dad."
"Are you two okay? You and I are gonna talk." He said the last bit pointing to Tyler.
"Dad we're fine. Okay it wasn't Tyler's fault the ground was slippery." I say giving him a smile.
"I'm sorry Soph, Bella, I tried to stop."
"We know, it's okay." I nod my head in agreement.
"No, sure as hell it's not okay."
"Dad, it wasn't his fault."
"You two could've been killed. You understand that?"
"Yes. But we weren't, so..."
"You can kiss your license goodbye."
"Dad, it wasn't his fault."
The door opened and an attractive doctor came in. "I heard the Chief's daughters were in."
"Oh, Dr Cullen."
"Charlie. I got this one, Jackie. Isabella. Sophie."
"Bella." She hates being called Isabella.
"Well, Bella, it looks like it's a quiet spill. How do you two feel?" He asks after finishing looking at her chart.
"Good."
"I'm ok."
"Look here, you might experience some post-traumatic stress or disorientation but your vitals look good. No signs of any head trauma I think you'll both be just fine." He says as he was examining us both.
"See I told you dad, we're fine." He just looks at me and shakes his head. He get's so worried, he doesn't need this extra stress on him.

"I'm so sorry guys, I'm really...." Before Tyler could finish his sentence dad shut the curtain in between us and rolled his eyes. I smiled at him.
"You know it would have been a whole lot worse if Edward wasn't there. He knocked us out of the way."
"Edward? Your boy?"
"Yeah, it was amazing. I mean he got to us so fast. He was nowhere near us."
"Sounds like you were very lucky. Charlie."
We got released, but dad had to sign some extra papers, so he sent Bella to call our mum. Of course he'd told her, she's probably freaking out. I would talk to her, but I wanted to go back and reassure Tyler that he wouldn't lose his license, only cause I know he'd be worried and I knew that it wasn't his fault.
When I got back Edward and Bella were talking, it didn't look like it was going well as he stormed off afterward.
The next day I made us all some breakfast and coffee as it looked like we all needed some. I gave dad a huge hug and reassured him that we'll be fine, before we left for school. As today is our Biology trip. Both classes are going to some plant green house.
"I need everybody's permission slips, so...Let's go." I went up and gave Bella's teacher, and our supervisor for today our permission slips, before walking back to Bella who seemed to be in her own little world.
Bella looked up and noticed that Alice, Jasper and Edward were here also. I really need to thank him for somehow stopping the bus. Mike stopped in front of us all smiley. "Look at you, huh? You're alive!"
He says whilst going to put his arm around my shoulder but I just scoot away. "I know, yeah. False alarm, I guess." Bella responded.
Mike turned to me. "Um, now I wanted to ask you, you know, if...if uh, it's like a month away, but uh. Do you wanna go to the Prom, with me?"
I looked past him and looked over to the Cullen's before turning back to Mike. "Um...Bella?"
"Oh, uh we have something that weekend, anyway. We're going to Jacksonville that weekend."
"You can't go another weekend?"
"Non-refundable ticket. Sorry Mike." I add.
"You should ask Jessica. I know she wants to go with you."
Mike walked off, probably to ask Jessica. "Thank you Bells, I didn't want to be mean and decline, I'm probably not even going to go to Prom."
"It's ok, come one."
Bella and I were split up onto the two buses, lucky for me I had the Cullen's on mine. I sat down next to Edward and after the buses started moving I turned to him. He faced me with a confused face, and Alice and Jasper were watching from behind us. And I probably did something that Edward never thought would happen. I hugged him. "Thanks for saving me and my sister. I hope your hand's okay."
"Um, your welcome." I smiled at him and then just looked at the scenery as we drove to our destination.
We got off the bus and continued with our tour and field trip, Tyler, Eric and a few other guys were messing around which I thought was great entertainment especially when one of the guys dared Tyler to drink a compost tea. There were pretty flowers everywhere and they smelled amazing. I went outside and played with the worms for a bit before heading back to our bus.
"Hi are you going to be riding with us?" Alice asked Bella as she was talking to Edward.
"No our bus is full." Edward said before banging on the door to let the driver know he wants in. I frown at that and go in.
"Why do you have to be so mean to my sister?" I ask looking at him glumly. He ignores me, so I do the same.
