《Sophie Swan: P.L》Chapter two:

The lunch bell had gone, and I said bye to Bella and the others as I had art now. I was walking down the halls trying to find the F-block. I turned the corner and bumped into something hard, I would've fallen straight on my bum if two hands didn't catch me. I looked up to see Jasper and Alice. Jasper being the one that caught me.
"I'm so sorry I bumped into you. I'm trying to find this class and I wasn't looking where I was going."
I gave him a smile. "It's okay, Jasper isn't hurt. You have art now right?"
I look to the excited person next to him, practically jumping. "Uh, yeah I do. How did you know?"
"Just a tinkling. We can show you the way, we've got art too."
"Really? That would be great, thank you."
"It's no problem. I can tell we're going to be great friends."
"I'd love to make friends with you guys. I'm actually looking for a shopping buddy, and so far I haven't had the best of luck." I say thinking back to Jessica. Angela didn't seem like the shopping type.
"Well there isn't much down here, but Port Angeles isn't too far of a drive."
"I guess we'll have to make plans then."
"Yes, now come on we don't want to be late." I giggle at her jumpiness, Alice loops arms with me and Jasper and leads us to our art class.
I honestly love art, especially painting, acrylic and oils are my personal favourite and portraits and realism are my thing. I don't wish to brag, but I think I have some talent. I wish to do something with art in the future for sure.
I handed the teacher my slip for her to sign, she said that this class was very free for all, as there weren't many students in it. Meaning I could basically do whatever I wanted, I grabbed some equipment wanting to paint a scenic picture with some sort of animal in the foreground. Alice practically dragged me to sit in between her and Jasper. I decided to simply paint a jet black stallion in a field with the woods behind it.
Throughout the class, Alice and I talked non-stop, she complimented me on my painting skills and I on her fashion choices. Even Jasper chipped in from time to time, I'm guessing he's the shy type, or he just wasn't used to being around new people. Overall they seem really nice and genuine, nothing how Jessica described them.

Class ended and Alice gave me both hers and Jasper's phone numbers. They walked me back to the office to hand in my slip, when the door flung open and Jasper had to catch me for the second time as their brother Edward has pushed right past me and walked off.
"I'm sure he's just not in the mood. We'll have to talk to him later about almost squishing our new friend."
"It's fine Alice, everyone has their days. I should go and hand this in, I'll see you guys tomorrow."
"Yes you will." Alice chirped.
"How 'bout you join us for lunch tomorrow? I'm sure the others wouldn' mind too much." Jasper asked in his southern drawl. I had learned he was originally from Texas, and his accent comes out sometimes.
Alice jumped and clapped her hands. "Yes you must sit with us."
"Okay, it definitely beats sitting with Jessica. I'm sure she's a nice girl, but I don't think we'd ever get along, especially since she's so judgy."
"Great, we'll tell the others when we get home."
"Bye."
"Bye."
"Bye." And with that Alice gave me a huge hug, and Jasper gave a small wave, to which I returned.
I walked into the office to find Bella looking at me weird. "What?"
"Since when are you best friends with the Cullen's."
"Since I share art with them, they invited me to sit with them for lunch tomorrow. Hope you don't mind."
"Can I help you dears?" The lady behind the desk asked, I gave her a smile and handed in both our slips before heading toward the truck. I saw both Alice and Jasper getting into their cars, they waved and gave smiles and I waved back. Earning a few stares and glares from both the people around us as well as their siblings.
We drove to a restaurant, to meet our dad for dinner since he can't cook.
"Hey dad, how was your day?" I ask before sitting down.
"Hey, it was good. I already ordered for you guys."
"That's ok."
The waitress came and gave us our food. "I just can't get over how grown up you are. And so gorgeous."
"Aw thank you, you to."
"Hey Bella, Soph. You remember me? I played Santa one year." A guy came up and stood next to the waitress Cora.

"Yeah, Waylon they haven't had a Christmas here since they were four." I looked at dad and gave a sympathetic smile.
"I bet I made an impression, didn't I?"
"You always do." I could tell dad just wanted to dig into his steak.
"Butt crack Santa." Cora said. That made me laugh.
"Hey! Kids love those little bottles though."
"Alright, let the girls eat their Garden Burger, Waylon. As soon as you're done I will bring you your favourite Berry Cobbler, remember? Your dad still has it every Thursday." Waylon walks off.
"Thank you, that will be great."
"Yeah, thank you, it sounds amazing."
Cora goes off to see other tables, I start to eat my food which tastes so good might I add.
We finished with all our food and headed home. I had a nice steaming hot shower and got changed before getting started on my homework. I could hear next door that Bella was talking to mum, I didn't want to interrupt, so I continued with my homework before going to bed.
The next day came and I got ready. Bella and I made it to school and we both had the idea of reading before school starts, so there we were both leaning on the truck reading, Bella with her headphones in. I could tell that she wasn't really into the book as I could see her in my peripheral looking around. I didn't say anything as my book was starting to get interesting. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, highly recommend.
I looked up a few moments later to seeing that the Cullen's had arrived, but it looks like Edward wasn't with them. Maybe he's sick. I waved to Alice and Jasper.
Art came along and I was excited because I got to get more of my painting done, as I only had the sketching and main back drop colours completed. Today I was going to add detail. I sat by Alice and Jasper and we shared greetings. "How's your brother? Is he sick or something?"
"He's just gone to visit some family. Everything's fine though."
"That's good to hear, he didn't look to good when I bumped into him."
"You're sitting with us at lunch and we're going to introduce you to our other siblings."
"Okay, that sounds great."
Lunch came along and I got a small fruit salad, I was still full from last night. That Cobbler was to die for. I walked with Alice and Jasper to their table, stares were directed at us, or more or so me. I glanced at the table my sister sits at and the death glares I received from Jessica were mighty.
I sat down and smiled to the couple in front of me, they looked sceptical of me, but I didn't let that get to me.
"Rosalie, Emmett this is our new best friend Sophie, Sophie this is my sister and brother Rosalie and Emmett."
Alice introduced us. "Hello." I said giving a small wave, as Rosalie was glaring at me.
I eased off a bit when Rosalie smiled at me and Emmett gave me a fist bump to which I giggled at.
All lunch I was conversing with them and we all got to know each other. "You guys should see her paint, it's amazing."
"Thanks Jasper, but I don't think its that good. Can I ask, why you want to be friends with me. It's just that I heard that you guys keep to yourselves and I just don't see why you would hang out with me, out of all people that is." I look around, waiting for an answer.
"I guess you just remind me of my younger sister, before her passing." Jasper said, giving me a smile.
"Oh I'm sorry Jaz."
"You seem genuine and make me laugh." Rosalie added.
"I need a new gamer friend to beat their ass."
"Who says I wouldn't beat your ass Emmett."
"We'll see about that."
"I just know that we would be great friends."
I smile at them all and we continue talking.
It's been a few days and Edward hasn't shown, but I have still been sitting with the Cullen's. It's been great. I do still talk to Bella at school as well as everyone else, apart from Jessica. As all she's done is complain how I get to sit with the Cullen's and how I'm friends with them, and I'm new. She's being jealous as she's been here longer and thinks that she deserves to sit with them. I mean come on.
