Shiva took a deep breath and went to his room. Thankfully, Raavi and Rudra were not there. He closed the door and threw himself to his feet. He was feeling restless, he couldn't breathe properly. He immediately took a glass of water and gulped it in a go. He slammed his eyes shut for a moment. The conversations of Gautam, Dhara and Suman were haunting him.

He opened his eyes to a blurry world, all the past memories with Ishanvi and Raavi haunted him. A sense of anguish, pain, guilt and misery engulfed him. He was feeling miserable, confused and devastated. He slammed his fist on the wall. Getting up from the floor, he took Ishanvi's photo frame from his bedside table. He stood there clutching the picture close to his heart. His eyes welled up as he clutched the photo tighter. Shaking his head, he yelled: Nahi…..Ye kabhi nahi ho sakta, tumhari jagah koi aur nahi le sakta Ishanvi, mere dil mein sirf tum ho, sirf tum.

Shiva's mind: Kya hua Shiva Pandya! Pyaar ko lekar itna lecture deta tha tu, aur 1 saal mein hi ye haal ho gaya tera!

Shiva's heart: Aisa thodi hai, Shiva Ishanvi ko kahan bhula hai, aur ye to uska gharwalon ne kahan hai, uska kya dosh hai isme. Raavi bhi to ek achhi ladki hai, sirf move on ki baat hi to kaha hai un logo ne. Aur ye kya galat hai!

Shiva's mind: Matlab Shiva Ishanvi ko dhoka de dega, Apna pyaar ko bhul jayega. Ye hi to baat hai.

Shiva's heart: Ye Dhoka kaise ho sakta hai! Shiva aisa kabhi kar sakta hai kya!

Shiva's mind: Par, aajkal wo jo Raavi ka itna khayal rakh raha hai, usko aise harpal dekhta rehta hai! Ye sab kya hai! Ye dhoka nahi hua to kya hua!

Shiva's heart: Areh, Aisa thodi hai aur…

Shiva held his hands to his ears and shouted: Naahii, Aisa kuch nahi hai, Main Ishanvi ko dhoka nahi diya.Sab jhut hai. Main koi move on nahi karunga.

Taking a deep breath, he stated: Ye sab galat hua hai! Maa ne ye thik nahi kiya. Maine to kaha tha Maa ko, phir bhi aisa kaise soch liya usne. Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door.

"Shiva sir, aap darwaza kholo na, Rudra ko sulana hai, use neend aa raha hai"

Recollecting his composure, he stood up and opened the door.

Raavi gasped seeing Shiva's devastated state; Her heart pierced seeing his condition. Slowly, quivering her bottom lip, she approached him.

Raavi: Kya hua hai? Aapka tabihat thik hai na?

Shiva averted his gaze and stated: Kuch nahi hua, main thik hoon.

Suman came there and stated happily.

"Rudra ne aaj Raavi ko maa bulaya hai, kitna khush hai Humara Rudra, Raavi ke sath, dekha!"

Shiva paled. He looked at Raavi who was softy smiling, lowering her gaze. He clenched his jaw and pressed his lips together. On the other hand, Suman patted Raavi's cheeks and moved from there.

Raavi: Wo bachha hai na, aise hi bol diya hai.

Shiva: Ye sahi nahi hua.

Raavi furrowed her eyebrows and said: Haa, wahi to, aab main uske sath rehti hoon na! pyaar bhi to karta hai mujhe. Adaat ho gaya hai.

Shiva stated coldly: Rudra ki maa use janam dene ki baad hi chala gaya, yehi sach hai. Rudra ko maa ke bina rehne ki adaat dalna hoga. Uska maa, papa main hi hoon. Jo sach nahi hai, usko manna, apnana galat hai.

Aur, Tum abhi ghar jao, bahut der ho gaya hai.

Raavi: Ha, par main to aise hi rehti hoon yahan aur Rudra ko bhi to sulana hai, aur..

Jitni logoko jo galat fehmi ho rahi hai, unlogo ko apni delusions se bahar ana padega. ( He stated the last line in a louder and clearer voice, not for Raavi, but for Suman, who was standing outside the room and maybe for himself too, because he wanted to end his inner turmoil and free himself from the unknown guilt.)

Colour drained out of Raavi's face. She flinched at his voice. Tears shimmered in her eyes and she hurriedly moved out.

Shiva shook his head and sighed. He buried his face in his hands and immediately regretted his words.

Looking down, he stated: Shit, ye kya kar diya! aisa nahi bolna chahiye tha use. Par ye jo ho raha hai, ye sab jo samaj raha hai, ye galat hai, ye nahi hone chahiye tha.

Next day,

At Shiva's office,

Shiva looked at his watch for the seventh time and sighed.

Shiva: 11 baj gaya, abhi tak ayi bhi nahi, Kya samaj ta hai khud ko, haa!, kal zyada hi bol diya tha main, aaj to us wajah se baat bhi karta par wo to mera call bhi nahi utha rahi hai! Aaj aane do ekbar. And moreover, aise bina bataya office late aana bhi galat hai.

He called Shalini for some work-related purpose. After a couple of conversations, Shiva stated: Ye part to Raavi ko karna tha, aaj aya hi nahi wo.

Shiva's pov

Aisa bhi kya kaam hai, ki achanak chali gayi. Mujhe to bataya bhi nahi! I mean mujhe bhi kyun hi batayegi, main hi to kal… anyway. Par gayi kaha wo?
