Shiva collapsed into the floor with a thud and started crying heavily, tears rolling down, being shattered, he rested his back against the table. He started remembering all his blissful moments with Ishanvi right from their childhood days to their college days when they realized their love for each other. He sighed in despair remembering their marriage days, their happiest moments of their life i.e "to be parents and pre parenthood phase".

Raavi was still working in the office. She needed Shiva's signature in an official document so she went to his cabin. She knocked on the door but didn't get any response. Having no other choice, she opened the door, but the scene before her gave her the biggest shock of her life. The rough, tough, strong headed Shiva pandya was crying hugging his knees. Her heart pricked seeing the painful scene.

She slowly advanced towards Shiva and tapped his shoulder, softly she uttered,

" Sir, aap thik ho? Kya hua hai aapko?"

Shiva lifted his head and looked at her. He kept staring at her for a few seconds, tears were streaming down his face. Suddenly, he hugged her tightly and started sobbing in her arms, automatically her hands wrapped around him . Raavi was confused by the whole situation but she wanted to soothe him. So she gently rubbed his back, whispering sweet nothings to his ears and tried to comfort him. She held him tightly and let him cry his heart out. Shiva snuggled more into Raavi's embrace and Raavi, understanding the situation, affectionately caressed his hair.

Slowly, recollecting his composure, Shiva stood up. Raavi again asked him about the matter.

Shiva : Sab kuch khatam ho gaya Raavi, mera Ishanvi ke sath aisa kyu hua? Wo kitni achhi hai, kabhi kisika bura nahi chaha, hum kitne khush the, kitna sapne dekhe the humne eksath, hamari ek choti si family hota, ek nanhi si jaan ate, hum ek sath usko samhalte, maze karte.. aur.. abhi..( he hiccuped) usko, breast cancer.. kaise.. mera kya hoga, main kaise jiyunga uske bina … dr ne boli ki last…

( He again started crying bitterly)

He couldn't continue the rest but the tears in his eyes told her everything. Raavi quickly moved closer to him and wiped his tears with utmost care.

She was shocked hearing that, a lone tear streamed down her cheek, hearing his words, her heart piercing seeing his broken state. She didn't know why but she was deeply affected by seeing his vulnerable condition.

Raavi gently cupped his face and said : Aap to kitna strong ho na, aap ko khud ko sambhal na hoga. Tutna, bikharna Shiva Pandya ko sobha nahi deta, himmat mat haro, aap koushish karke to dekho, kuch na kuch haal zaroor milega.

Shiva said with a heavy voice: Mujhe kuch samaj nahi a raha hai, main kya karu, dr ne kaha ki ye last stage hai, maximum 6 months time hai Ishanvi ke pas.

Then, to his surprise she pulled him into a hug and Shiva felt at peace for that moment. She provided him what he needed the most i.e. a shoulder to cry and a strong support system which would provide him solace and care. They didn’t speak for a few minutes and stood like that.

After sometime, Raavi slowly broke the hug , she held his hand and assured him saying,

"Dekhiye, jo kismat mein likha hota hai, wo hum badal nahi pate hai, par jo pal mila ha, use pura utilize to kar sakte hai, abhi Ishanvi ma'am ko apki zarurat hai, aap par kitna bada zimmedari hai, aapko khud ko sambhal na hoga, main hu apke sath, jab bhi aap ko kuch zarurat hoga, apni maan ki baatein batana hoga, main rahungi aapke pas, dard baatne se dard thora to kam hota hai. Par abhi aap uthiye, ghar jayiye please, khud par bharosa rakhiye, sab thik ho jayega"

Shiva looked at her with his watery eyes and said,

"Main itna jaldi haar nahi manunga Raavi, kuch na kuch jugar karunga, thank u mere sath dene ke liye. Main abhi chalta hoon. Tum bhi dhyaan se ghar chale jana"

Raavi nodded agreeably and Shiva left the place.

Scene shifts to Shiva's house,

Ishanvi was staring out of her window, patiently waiting for Shiva.

After some time, Shiva arrived.

Ishanvi gasped seeing his devastated state; she freezed watching his droopy body, puffy red moist eyes. Slowly, quivering her bottom lip, she patted his cheeks. Shiva took a step back and observed her features carefully.

Shiva : Aaj dr Reena ka call aya tha.

Ishanvi swallowed nervously and peeped at him.

Shiva grabbed her and pinned her against the wall: Tumne mujhse itni badi baat kaise chupayi, Ishanvi. Kab se pata hai tumhe ye baat?

Ishanvi: Please shant ho jao, main tumhe baatane hi wali thi. Mujhe kal hi pata chala. Kal ka itna sundar pal main badbad nahi karna chahti thi. Waise bhi mere pas ab zada waqt..

Shiva shushed her by putting his palm on her mouth.

Shiva: Chup, main aisa hone nahi dunga. Ye dr kuch bhi bakwas kar rahi hai, aur bhi bahut doctors hai, main tumhari best treatment karwayunga , dekh lena tum thik ho jayogi.

Ishanvi smiled sadly.

Caressing his face, she said," Dr. Reena yaha ka best dr hai, aur ye sach hai ki mera ye last stage hai, tumhe ye sach accept karna hoga Shiva, mere jane ke baad hamare baby ko bhi to tumko hi sambhalna hoga, aise muh latkake rahoge to kaise chalega. Dekho main treatment karwaungi, tum jo bologe, main wo karungi, par tumhe bhi apne aap ko taiyar karna hoga.

Shiva, closing his eyes, letting the tears flow, hugged her. Ishanvi grasped his shoulder even tighter, consoling him. After some time, they slowly drifted off to sleep.

Scene shifts to Raavi's house,

Raavi stood by the mirror and was getting restless.

Raavi : Shiva sir thik to honge na!, life kitna unpredictable hai, jo insaan itna strong-willed hai, aaj wo bhi kitna tut gaya tha. Bahut pyaar karte honge apni biwi se. Ek pal mein sab bikhar gaya bichara ka. Hey bholenath, sir ko himmat dena, uske sath rehna.
