《Shivi FF: Eye-opener ft. Kesar》2

As Dhara finally came out of her trance, she collapsed on her knees sobbing hard, unable to forgive herself for the ghastly act she committed in her anger. Gaumbi saw this as a chance to end this whole scene for the night and tomorrow things would get better when everyone was out of shock and had had a sound sleep. He quietly led Dhara to their room, looking at the others and conveying them to do the same.
Dev, who was holding Rishita, was torn between comforting her and his brothers. He gave both his brothers a tight hug, assuring them all would be fine and led Rishita back to their room. Right after the hug, Krish ran out of the house, totally embarrassed by the whole situation, leaving his bhaiyya-bhabhi alone.
Shiva looked at Raavi, who was clutching her arm with head bent down. The purplish-red bruise across her milky-white skin pierced his heart. As he made his way to find an ointment, he thought about her. Shiva had always known that what Raavi had for Dev was not love but mere pagalpan. But he also knew she loved his family with all her heart and yearned for their acceptance all her life. Nothing could be more painful than being jilted at the altar by that very family. He had felt sorry for her for the first time in his life.
After marriage, her actions amused him. She had forgiven everyone in his family and whole-heartedly accepted them even after everything that transpired. She had even gone the extra mile by taking care of them like how she handled Rishita today despite her misgivings towards her. Shiva smiled. This girl really was carved out of a different rock! He started respecting her, secretly of course, for the first time.

That doesn't mean he liked her. She was his maami-ki-behen-ki-beti. Nothing good can come off her. You never know when she would start showing off his maami's genes. He hated her face and that smirk on it. He hated her sing-song voice that kept ringing in his house even before she was a part of it. And yeah he totally hated her mouth that was nothing short of a radio.
Yet, why had it pained him when she had been absolutely silent, weeping in a corner because of Rishita's taunts? Maybe because her fights and tears only belonged to him he reasoned. His enemy should be tortured only by him. Even now he was feeling for her only because he is guilty. He shook himself out of his stupid thoughts and went back only to find her missing. He went out looking for her.
Raavi could not believe Shiva held the whip and moreover held her in support. She slightly smiled and went out looking for Krish with a bowl of haldi in her hand. The fact that her little devar was hurt was not lost between her own lovey-dovey thoughts. She found Krish sobbing on the steps and sat beside him. She applied haldi all over his upper body carefully so as to not hurt him more. Then he dropped onto her lap crying his heart out as she caressed his hair murmuring niceties.
Shiva found them on the steps and smiled in content at this bond. He had wanted someone like Dhara bhabhi if he ever did decide to marry and here was this girl being just that and much more. He was proud of his wife. Wife? Nope. Maami-ki-behen-ki-beti. He pushed down his feelings yet again and sat down a step below them, looking intently.
Krish bid them both goodnight and went inside. Shiva tugged Raavi's arm and started applying the ointment. His eyes welled up for reasons unknown as he very gently massaged the wounds. Raavi was touched. She had seen this care in his eyes for his loved ones and to see it for her made her heart flutter. Like a little kid who showed his mother all his wounds just to see her care, Raavi slightly lifted her kurti to show him the bruise on her stomach.

With tears falling down, Shiva lightly touched the bruise and she winced loudly. Without thinking, he swiftly bent down and kissed her bruise softly. Raavi's breath hitched at the contact.
"Sorry, woh kya haina mere pair mai bhi chot lagi thi tho bas aur haldi lene aaya tha... Maa kasam aapke khullam-khulli pyaar mai taang araane bilkul bhi nahi aaya... phir bhi yaad dila raha hoon ki aapka bhi ek khud ka kamra hai"
Shiva's face turned red. Shaking his head dejectedly, Krish picked up the haldi bowl and walked away leaving the couple embarrassed. They looked here, there and everywhere except each other.
Shiva got up to leave when Raavi said "Shiva tum bhi ointment laga lena sone se pehle varna in bruises ki vajah se kal tum bhootnath se zombie ban jaoge" to which Shiva simply nodded and left.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…

The Triumphs and Tribulations of Kai Jameson
Kai Jameson is an average everyday young man. He still lives at home with his parents after having just graduated from college. He loves playing video games and his job at the local Buy More is tolerable. Of course that all changes the moment the system arrives and the Earth is connected to the Nexus. Turns out Kai was trapped in time for about eighteen months while the people already here got a headstart on him. He lucks into being rescued by some people from a town called Donnyton and learns that if he wants to survive in this New Earth he'll have to work harder than ever before. The rewards are worth it. This is Kai's story, the moments of his triumphs, and the moments when he feels that things couldn't possibly be worse. Thanks to puddles4263 and his story The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound for the inspiration on the world this is set in. If you have never read that I highly recommend it, and if you have read it and enjoyed that story then I hope you'll enjoy mine as well. This is the first story I'm ever putting out for public consumption so reader beware on that. Any constructive criticism is always appreciated, simply leaving a half star review tells me that you're a moron who doesn't know how to use words. I'm constantly trying to improve my writing and feedback and criticism on what works and what doesn't is the only way to do that at the point I feel I am at. Last, I just marked all the content warnings because you never know where a story will take you and I don't want to exclude anything (though there will never be a harem). I am going to release 1-2 chapters per week on Fridays. Thanks and enjoy.

Full of blood, battles, feuds and mythic beasts, the tablets of Gitata make up the largest body of literary work by the people of the Riverlands, the Gigi'abid in their own tongue, meaning 'beautiful people'. The tablets tell the story of the boy-king, Gitata and his struggles for power. They also cover the tales of Ninri'a, warrior woman beyond reproach, as well as the priest Pinpirig and his unlucky journey to reclaim the stolen statue of his beloved goddess. Along the way, a slew of gods are introduced and the the machinations of the distant elemental god of mercury threaten to end the reign of the Riverlanders.
