(Krish's marriage is postponed in my story)
After 1 day,
Shiva was packing his bags for the Delhi tour. Raavi entered.
Raavi: Aaj mujhe aane mein thora late hoga, wo office mein zyada kaam hai.
Shiva raised a brow and looked at her. Then he blankly replied: Krish ka shadi aab postpone ho gaya hai, to ghar mein koi problem nahi hoga. Jab kaam khatam hoga aa jana.
Raavi( in mind): Kitna late hoga, kya kaam hai, abhi ye bhi nahi puchta hai tu! aise achanak Delhi ja raha hai sab chod ke, tu sach mein hi meri fikar karna chod diya kya!
Aur upar se attitude dikhata hai, shak bhi karta hai.
Shiva( in mind) : Tujhse jitna bhi ladlu, mujhe tera fikar rahega, par tujhse abhi se main koi sawal nahi puchunga. Sawal puchne mein main shakki pati, over possessive ho jata hu na! To ye thik hai, waise bhi tu abhi pura independent hai, tere help karne ke liye bahut log bhi hai, tujhe abhi meri zaroorat kaha hai!
Raavi: To tu kal hi nikal jayega?
Shiva, without looking at her, casually replied: Ha, kal subah hi chala jaunga.
Scene ends.
After 1 and a half days, Shiva finally reached Delhi.
Shiva's pov
Aab se zindagi ki ek nayi suruwaat hogi, Bholenath, baas samhal lena sab kuch!, aa to gayi yahan, par kisiko janta bhi nahi hoon, pata nahi thik se kaam karpayunga ki nahi. Thora nervous hu par jo bhi ho, pura maan lagakar koshish karunga, aur wo Shekhar bhi to mujhe khud bulaya tha ye jante hue ki main sirf 10th pass hoon, to uska izzat bhi rakhna hoga.
His work journey in the company was not very easy-going and also it was quite challenging. Yes, few people judged him based on his way of speaking and his education qualifications. Shekhar wholeheartedly supported him. He understood from the very beginning that Shiva is indeed a gem, he has the capability to outshine others. He motivated, trained and guided Shiva in every step. Shiva felt blessed for getting such an understanding and kind-hearted mentor.

He made him understand that to become successful, it is necessary to never give up until the aim of happiness and satisfaction in life is fully met. After the training period of 15 days, Shiva started working on the project. During this time, he initially had some failures, few people mocked him too and was even jealous of him for being in Shekhar's good books , but he didn't give up. He recognized his flaws, acknowledged them and rectified them too, as he always does. He recognized and worked on his weaknesses, took criticism and held on to the strengths. He loved his work and through practice, diligence and skills, slowly he won everyone's hearts, even his critics appreciated his unique ideas.
The way he improvised the project plan maintaining the perfect balance between company profits and welfare of the underprivileged farmers was commendable. Apart from this, Shiva was a very helpful guy and was always very supportive of his teammates, so everyone liked him.
He was making a new plan when Shekhar called him in his cabin.
Shiva: May I come in Sir?
Shekhar: Yes, please be seated.
Shiva (after sitting): Sir, 15 din baad mera exam hai, yahan to kaam karne ki sath hi padhai kar raha hoon. Ye 11th ka final exam hai, to tab mujhe kuch din ke liye Somnath jaana hoga.
Shekhar smiled and said: 15 din kyun, tum 10 din baad hi chutti le lena, humara to is baare mein pehle hi baat ho gaya tha. Don't worry, achhe se padhai karo. But abhi tumhe site visit karna hoga, waha workers ka kuch issues hua hai, isliye tumhe bulaya. Workers ko tumhare sath interact karne mein bhi achha lagta hai. Jaise tum sabko samaj te ho, unke issues solve karte ho, ye bahut achha hai, to tum hi jao, mujhe pata hai tum sab sort karke hi ayoge.

Shiva shyly nodded and said: Aisa bhi nahi, main jo bhi karta hoon aap sab ke support se hi kar raha hoon. Aur mujhe ye achha bhi lagta hai, ye kaam karna, wo sab logose baatein karna, unko help karna mujhe pasand hai. Agar aap mujhe yaha nahi bulate to mujhe itna acha experience kabhi hota hi nahi.
Shekhar: Tum jahan ho, apne mehnat se ho. Bade degrees se hi sab kuch nahi hota, insaan ki kabiliyat bhi bahut important hai. Aur kabhi kabhi khudko bhi credit do, kyuki ye achievement tumhara hai. Main bas apna kaam kiya. Tumhara ideas se mera company ka benefit hua hai, tum bahut hardworking ho, bas mujhe ye samaj nahi aata, itna talented hokar bhi tum bich mein padhai kyu chod diya tha.( He clicked his tongue and immediately regretted his words) I'm sorry, main bas aise hi puch liya tha. Don't mind.
Shiva sighed and said: Nahi nahi, thik hai, halat hi kuch aisa tha, chodna padha. Ha, baad mein meri biwi ne mujhe padhai continue karne ko boli thi, isliye phir se padhai shuru kiya .
Shekhar: Ye to achi baat hai, dekhna ek din tum bahut aage badhoge.
Shiva smiled and left.
Scene ends.
At the roadside,
Shiva while going to the site, suddenly
collided with someone, something fell from her hands. The girl while picking the bag, muttered: Areh, dekkar nahi chal sakte, bag hi gir gaya. While picking the bag, she looked at Shiva, and her eyes widened in shock. Shiva was also surprised to see her. She immediately stood up, took one step forward, and engulfed him in a friendly hug.
Breaking the hug, she said: Areh, tu yaha, Somnath se Delhi kab aya?
Shiva: Main to yaha ek naukri kar raha hoon. But Somnath ka professor, Miss Rakhi Sharma, yaha kya kar rahi hai aap? Tujhe to last main mera bhai, Krish ka college mein dekha tha, itni din baad yahan?
Rakhi blushed and said: Asal main meri shaadi fix hua hai yahan . Mera fiance bhi yahan hi rehte hai. Aab arrange marriage hai, isliye shaadi ke pehle ek dusre ke sath thora jaan pehchaan kar raha hoon. Yaha mera uncle ka bhi ghar hai, to meri family ke sath yaha hi kuch din ke liye reh rahi hoon.
Shiva smirked and said: Ohho, shaadi haa!, Main bahut khush hoon tere liye. Hamesha khush rehna aur ek dusre ka sath rehna. Waise, aapni husband se kab mila raha hai, bata bata?
Rakhi: Zaroor milayungi. Aur jab tu yahan hi hai, kabhi kabhi mil liya kar, bahut maza ayega. 3 din baad ek party hai, ek kaam kar, main tujhe guest house ka address bhej dunga, tu aa jana. Sab waha hi rahenge.
After a little bit of chit-chat session, they parted. Before leaving, they exchanged their numbers.
Scene shifts to Shiva's room,
He took the pictures of his family members and his and Raavi's marriage picture, and lightly caressed them. Suddenly he got a call. Looking at the caller id, he sighed.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have.
