I woke up to the sun beaming in my room. I groaned and put my blanket over my face cause it was way too bright. I felt my head throbbing and I've been wanting to throw up again. I just didn't feel good in general. My body literally aches, like if i went on a hike or something. Everything just hurt like hell.
I decided to just get up and suck it up. I went to go brush my teeth and to take a shower. The hot water touching my skin, making the bathroom all foggy and steamy. I started thinking about last night as i was washing myself. Whatever was in that drink was strong. And i know it wasn't alcohol cause it reminded me of a type of drug i use to take. Like i know it, something is telling me that it was a pill or something but it doesn't click to me.
"Colby!!" I heard Y/N yell as i was lost in my mind
"In the shower!!" I yelled back hoping she can hear me
"You were supposed to pick me up an hour ago! What happened?" She said as i heard her in the bathroom
Holy shit.. i said in my mind as i converted my mouth with my hands. I forgot i had to pick her up and help her with her stuff because she's moving in. Ugh, shes going to hate me
"I am so sorry, i kinda forgot" i said, scared of what she'll say
"You forgot? I heard there was a party last night. Maybe all the drinking made you forget" she said as she opened half the shower curtain
"I'm sorry, really am" i said as i turned off the water
"Whatever. Just get dressed and help me with my stuff downstairs"

"How did you even get here?"

"Hey man, thanks for bringing my girl" i told Corey as we sat down on the couch
"Yeah, no problem man"
"So um.. what happened last night?" I asked him, his eyes blinking multiple times
"What do you mean what happened last night bro? You were out of your shit man" he said as he started laughing
"You kept drinking and then you slept in the pool. I got you out and you threw up. Me and Mike carried you to your room"
"Hmm.." i said
I didn't wanna say that my drink tasted funny or that it was probably spiked. But if i do, he's probably gonna say 'it's the after taste'. I dropped it and just stayed quiet as we both were scrolling on our phones.
Suddenly im in the mood to smoke a joint i said in my head. I don't know why but i want one badly. So i left without telling Corey or anyone else i was leaving. I drove to this place where i used to get my 'stuff '
"Long time no see man"
"Haha, yeah... kinda stopped doing this for like a month or two but i suddenly want one" i said as he gave me what i usually get
"I felt that man, it's that urge you feel. Like you miss being high, miss the feeling of feeling nothing" he said as i nodded my head in agreement
I left and went in my car, i felt bad doing this but i just really wanted it.
"I'm sorry Y/N" i said as i lit up my joint

After a brief hospitalization she must choose between two continents and finds herself reluctantly boarding a plane to Oregon to be reunited with her shadows. She returns to the town she grew up in, which is where her father still lives and her childhood memories linger. By the end of the week the mysterious train accident turns out to be the least of her problems. Her life was never supposed to become this serious this fast. Through an improbable and unfortunate series of events she is soon introduced to a motley crew of characters that appear to be carrying the same struggles through life. They possess a familiar sense of inadequacy and insecurity. Marith realizes that for the first time in her life she has found herself a tribe, or, as they prefer to call it, a Chain. She is introduced to a world of Prophets, Runners and Mages led by an Oracle and a Watchmaker. Over the course of several weeks Marith learns that, together with her Chain, she is expected to save this fabric of reality, by fighting a mysterious and immortal creature and his aggressive pet. In order to have a chance at overcoming this force of nature she has to revisit the darkest and most desolate corners of her mind. ***** The total word count of the first 12 chapters amounts to about 85.000 words. The total word count of the first 30 chapters will amount to about 225.000 words. My chapters range, roughly, from 5.000 to 10.000 words. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
