I was still sad about the conversation I had with my brother. Are my family and my old friend against me? Do they believe in arranged marriage rather than soulmates? But why do they dislike Mortimer, is it because he is my soulmate who has a high rank and they feel threatened? Or they don't want our genes to mix?

With our genes, we would probably have healthy and strong children. They don't have to be hybrids. There are a lot of situations where they can be a siren but not only they are good at tracking in the water they are also good at tracking on the land. Or maybe I'm trying to find an excuse for them without thinking that they are just power-hungry.

Mortimer goes to the underwater kingdom to have a meeting with his parents where he can convince them to side with vampires. He told me that he can still visit the underwater kingdom but he needs permission from his parents. And I'm just left alone in the house. Thank god, I can at least talk to Elizabeth since she came back from her vacation.

But after that my brother teleported to the island. Mortimer asked witches/wizards to put a force shield around the island, so there wouldn't be any teleporting guests. But Leon still had to guard me while I'm outside, which there is no point in because no one can teleport here and kidnap me since the force shield protects me from getting kidnapped.

After lying in bed and doing nothing I decided that I should go for a walk and maybe go to the pastry shop. I tied my hair into a ponytail and decided to wear something grey. Then Leon greeted me when he saw me going outside, then I greeted him back.

"So where are we going, Alice?" Leon asked but before I could answer it, Leon's phone rang so he picked the call mouthing sorry to me.

"Approximately fourteen-year-old she-wolf sneaked in the ship? Sure I'll be there!" The only thing I heard while Leon was talking on the phone. It sounded somewhat familiar and decided to come with Leon to cure my curiosity.

At first, Leon protested since it might be dangerous, but I scoffed since fourteen year old's can't shift into wolves yet. Leon sighed and let me come with him.

When we arrived at the docks I instantly recognized the girl. She looked very annoyed when the guard didn't believe her intentions of being here. As soon as she saw me her facial expression changed into a happy expression.

"Caitlyn, What are you doing here?" I asked her. I would never imagine Caitlyn visiting unless she is with Kelly.

"I will tell you later. Now can you convince them that I didn't come here to attack or whatever." mentioning the two guards who are standing next to her so she wouldn't escape

"Well guys, it's pretty clear that she can't do anything drastic. Can you please let her go ?" I told them. Werewolves can't shift until they are sixteen, so I'm confident that she isn't a threat.

"Yes, but she still arrived on this island without Mortimer's or Luciano's permission," Leon said. I guess it's true, but I can try to convince Mortimer. Then I saw a vampire using super-speed to reach us and he stopped under the shadow so he wouldn't burn during the day. I instantly recognized the vampire. He was the one who annoyed me until my eyes turned yellow. He asked Leon about what happened here and Leon explained everything to him.

"Well, In her case she needs to have Mortimer's permission to enter this island, not mine's," Luciano said.

"She will get permission when Mortimer comes back, but right now she can stay with me," I said as I took Caitlyn's hand and took her to mine and Mortimer's house.

When we arrived I didn't want to disturb Elizabeth while she cleaned the house, so I told Caitlyn to sit and wait as I was trying to find some food that I can give to Caitlyn. There was no leftovers so I started cooking some food for her.

"So why did you come here?" I asked. I mean I'm glad that someone from the old pack visited me, but I don't understand why she would visit during the tense moment. I took out some ingredients that I would need for the meal.

"When you found your soulmate who is a prince, suddenly the pack became more hell-like. Because the council thought that you will be mated to someone easy to threaten, but their plan backfired when you found your soulmate who is a siren prince. Then the council arranged marriage for me to marry the young Alpha from Canada, so I ran away. I couldn't go to Cecilia's pack because her pack is still under Werewolf's kingdom rule, so she will be forced to give me away. So I had to go where the council doesn't have an influence and decided to go here." Caitlyn explained her story.

"They arranged marriage for you?" I asked in surprise while cooking the food. Normally, the council wouldn't arrange a marriage for deltas. But it seems they needed more alliance for the war.

"Yes, normally they wouldn't but they did." She said, Then I gave her the meal that I made. She was hungry so she quickly grabbed the knife and a fork.

"So, How is Kelly?" I asked. Caitlyn looked at me with a surprised look and she put down the fork.

"Y-you don't know?"She stuttered/gasped. I looked at her with confusion and she started explaining.

"They killed her. She found her soulmate who is a pack's doctor and she let him mark her, but when the council found out they killed both of them." Then Caitlyn started sobbing because she lost her sister. I was shocked by the news that I wanted to cry too, but I knew I needed to comfort Caitlyn. Now I know why four months ago I stopped sending any messages. The tear slipped from the eye and I started crying with Caitlyn. Kelly was my best friend now she is dead.

I remember when Kelly said that she would cry with happiness at my wedding and thank my groom for making me fall in love with him. Because she thought that it was impossible for me to fall in love. Too bad, she isn't alive anymore, because right now I have truly fallen in love with Mortimer.

After we finished mourning for Kelly. Elizabeth said that she wanted to leave early so I let her go home early. Then I led Caitlyn to the guest room.

Caitlyn had fallen asleep in her guest room and then I started waiting for Mortimer. I missed him so much, even though he was gone for the whole day, but he said that he will try to come back for dinner. Then I heard someone open the door, so I went to check if Mortimer came back from the meeting. I went to the front door and saw that Mortimer was indeed coming back from the meeting, so I hugged him.

"Missed me?" Mortimer chuckled and I nodded. It feels good to be in his arms and smell his scent.

"Although, it seems you had a guest." He said in a serious voice. Sirens can still notice the different scents on land.

"Don't worry, She won't cause any harm here, so please let her stay here. Or at least wait until tomorrow so you can rest today." I said as I leaned my head against his chest as he sighed then he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Te amo meum sol" he whispered in Latin. My heart fluttered at those words, when I found that he can speak Latin when he doesn't want me to know how I make him feel, I googled the words that he might use.

"I love you too," I replied. He was surprised that I understood what he said. But he smiled at my reply and put his chin on my head. And we stayed like that until we both wanted to sleep and went to our bedroom.
