After the council visited us , few weeks had passed already.During this time I stayed at the library that is in Mortimer's house or in town. I read few books and avoided reading romance genre books so I don't have any useless thoughts while I was trying to survive one year without falling in love.I still socialized with island's residents like Selena and Leon and their friends they still don't think that I'm Mortimer's soulmate , which I do not complain about. Selena would always asking me to help her apparently I give a good advises.

What about relationship with Mortimer it's really unavoidable . He always makes sure that everyday I should be given an affection. He either holds my hand ,give me a sweet kiss it's either on the lips ,cheek , forehead or on my temple or he gives me a compliment that would make me blush.At least he stopped asking where I have gone to while he's working.

Right now it's moment when your brain is saying you slept too much you should wake up.I slowly tried to open my eyes and I feel that I'm in really comfortable position.I feel the someone's warmth , oh wait it's probably Mortimer. He always wakes up more early than me , but apparently I woke up more early .I fully opened my eyes , but then closed them since I need my eyes to get use to bright lighting.

"Good morning!How did you slept, my love?" Mortimer said in the husky voice. Never mind apparently he woke up first.

"Why do you always wake up more early than me?" I asked as I tried to concentrate my eyes .

"Living under the sea doesn't have bright lighting like on land .So I haven't used to sleep under bright lighting on land so I can easily wake up by light. Anything else my love?" He explained.I guess that explains it.

"What are you up to ?" I asked . Since Mortimer wakes up early he usually gets ready and then if he thinks I'm oversleeping a breakfast he wakes me up. Since I woke up before breakfast and he is still in bed with me. There is chance that I woke up a few seconds than Mortimer or he planned something.

"What do you mean?" Mortimer said as his eyes had a mischievous glint in them . He definitely planned something so I decided not to ask him . And instead I tried to get up so I could start my day .

"Well, I should get up by now anyway ." I told quietly but not quiet enough for siren's hearing .As my one leg reached to floor I was suddenly yanked back to the bed .Then Mortimer wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled closer.

"Why getting up early if we can cuddle for a little while?" Mortimer suggests.So that's what he have been planing?I sighed .I never cuddled with him in the morning or at least while I was awake. Usually it's either we fall asleep cuddling or somewhere in the middle of the night our bodies getting cuddled.

"I've could killed you for that , but apparently killing considered a crime ." I sighed in fake disappointment as Mortimer chuckled .

"Even if it 's wasn't a crime you still would't kill me." Mortimer teased as I humphed in displeasure it's true I would't killed him , well in case I want to say goodbye to my sanity.

After that we chatted a little more until it's was time when Elizabeth prepared our breakfast . When I ate the breakfast I went to the library while Mortimer went to work .I looked at my phone for any new messages.

In case you don't know Celine is Alexander's older sister .When I was sixteen years her parent's arranged a marriage with the Alpha that is from West. When her husband died she gained control over the pack and now she is the ruler of the West pack. Celine is one of my best friends that is two years older than Me, Kelly and Celine had ballet classes together and we tried to get the Lady Diploma (the only people are can get is the people who knows etiquette and how to be lady-like).I answered her message and then someone ringed the door.

It's ringed for like five minutes so I came to check it out. Elizabeth saw me that I'm gonna answer the door she stopped and went to her duties . As I opened the door I saw Leon, His expression shows surprise that He never knew that he will find me in Mortimer's house.

"Can I help you ?" I asked Leon as he snapped out of the shock.

"Can you please call Mortimer? " Leon asked as he rubbed behind his head. I invited Leon to the living room and I went to Mortimer's office so I can notify him that he has a guest. I knocked at the door but I haven't heard an answer so I opened the only to see that he's not there. I decided on tracking his sent it's ended up coming to the living room empty handed.

"Umm, Sorry Leon, apparently Mortimer is not in the house , but I'll track him down for you if you want ?" I said. As I said that ,Elizabeth came and offered to make coffee or tea. Leon declined Elizabeth's offer and she went back preparing the lunch.

"Alice, Before you go , Can I ask you a question ?" He was rubbing behind his hand again.

"Sure, Ask away!" I said politely .

"Are you Mortimer's soulmate?" He asked. I know I can't lie to him since he caught me in Mortimer's house and I can't say that I'm Mortimer's cousin because we are differently creatures and at least I should be hybrid to convince Leon.

"Apparently I am and I can't do anything about it .Do you plan reveal information to your friend's." I nicely asked him.

"I don't know yet, Do you want me to keep a secret or not?" He asked and I thought a little. I think it's would be better that people will find out by themselves or it's will be awkward .

"It's Depends , Leon do you want to be know as the first one who found out Prince's soulmate identity that everybody will forget so fast about it , or you want to be know as the only one who knows my identity and then your fame will last a little longer?"I said.

"Second option sounds better to me" Leon answered and I smiled.

"Okay then, I should go fetch Mortimer" I said to Leon as I followed Mortimer's scent.I wonder if Mortimer is having a meeting with the residents or maybe he is cheating on me? This thought made me tense , I know I'm not suppose to feel anything for Mortimer , but if I see it with my eyes, I will feel betrayed.But on the other side if I actually see him cheating on me I might score an early visit to my family and I can stay there as long as I can until I forgive Mortimer.

I followed the scent and it's leads me to trail there is a lot of trees looks like little forest .I followed the trail until I saw the lake and his scent ends. I came more closer and I saw Mortimer in his siren form He has dark blue tail and additional fins that merfolks doesn't have it .No matter what he still looked handsome in his siren form and he has abs. Maybe he needs to shift into siren form like werewolfs have to shift in wolf form.I decided to go to the end of the dock in hopes he will notice me.In my luck he noticed me an swam to me.

"So what brings you here?" Mortimer purrs indicating that he thinks I missed his presence .I rolled my eyes in my mind but I still wanted to continue on my little 'mission'.

"You got a guest that is waiting for you ." I answered and his eyes flashed in disappointment because he thought that I missed him .

"Okay, Can you give me a hand?" Mortimer asked and I hesitated a little bit but decided on giving him a hand.As soon I reached his hand he yanked me to the water.

What is it with all this yanking? My clothes soaked in reality I would have difficulty staying on surface, but holding Mortimer makes me easier to stay on the surface.

"Why the hell did you do that?" I almost shouted as I tried to wipe eyes from water.

"I don't know maybe I wanted to kiss you?" Mortimer said as he kissed me his tongue unexpectedly entered my mouth since he took my unpreparedness as advantage.His tongues battled with mine but soon he won it .He explore all parts of mouth and made sure he didn't left anything untouched. When he finished ,I was breathless.

"Or maybe I wanted to mark you?" I tensed at his words . He already wants to mark me? He started nibbling my neck until he found my soft spot.

"It's won't work " I told him as soon I found my breath.He still bit my soft spot and started sucking the skin then I moaned quietly. Instead of marking he decided on warning me and giving me a hickey.He licked the hickey one last time before removing him self from my neck.

"Well, we should probably go , since the guest is waiting for us !" Mortimer said as he helped me take me back to shore and put me in down where I can reach the ground with my feet. Then Mortimer went a littler farther than me so he can shift back. I looked away since I knew he will be naked .

"You're coming?" Mortimer asked as he finished putting his clothes on .

"Yeah, I'll be right behind you!" I just could't show up in front of Leon with my soaked clothes . He would think that I tried to drag Mortimer by his tail or something.As I got out of the lake I removed my shoes since it's uncomfortable to walk .And slowly walked to the home.

Why does he do that to me ? Why he insist on giving me affections? Even after I told him that I will reject him. Wait a minute , since I have a plan how to avoid him .Then he must have a plan how to win me over .At first he observed me so he can know how he should approach me and what is my language of love .Since I tend to avoid him for the whole day he found that my language so he went with physical touch since this was his language .Then he started giving pecks and little kisses , make sure he cuddled with me while I tried to sleep. And today he accomplished the next step of his plan.

I shook my head in my stupidity not realizing it sooner .When the house came into the view I cleaned my feet and put them back in shoes so I can make sure Elizabeth won't have clean after me.I used the backdoor in case Leon and Mortimer are still in the living room.And went to get clean clothes and went to the shower.

Now I need to think how I can prevent his next step without him knowing that I know his plan.
