For the next two days, it was quiet. I didn't see Onyx much because he was always busy. Not that I cared. I stayed in my room most of the time. Escape wasn't an option because now there were four guards instead of one. I couldn't outrun all four of them. And who am I kidding, can I really run faster than a wolf. Even if I wanted to try, I couldn't, the knob locked the doors. Not even the windows could be broken. That glass was impenetrable for a chair, sneakers and rolling pin.

Someone knocked on the door before I could say go away, Onyx strolls in. I began panicking and jump out of the bed. He sighs and began closing the door but paused when my heart rate spike tremendously.

He left the door open and said, "You have been excused from classes for the rest of the week." What? I knitted my brows together. " Tomorrow, be ready and packed by 9 am sharp. I'll have someone take you to your dorm." My eyes widen in disbelief. "By our law, any humans who know of our existence are killed on the spot or made pets." I gasp. I know it's too good to be true. I'm going to be murder and raped doggy style. "Not a lot of people knows about you. You bear no mark or have ever been seen in a collar."

"W-what are you saying?" he's going to kill you stupid! My subconscious screams at me.

"I'm saying. One, keep your pretty mouth shut about everything you know and see. One word and you're dead. Don't worry about how we'll know, but we will. Two, when summoned, you answer no questions asked. And three, no one touches you. You belong to me and only me. No other male gets to touch you. Or I'll drag you back with him, and make you watch me mutilate him. Do we have a deal Avaluna?"

"Y-Yes,"

He turns to leave but stops and glance over his shoulder, "I expect you to keep your end because I'll hate to have to kill you." and shuts the door behind him. I finally exhale a breath I was holding and stared at my trembling hands. He's letting me go?

The next day I packed and waited for him downstairs thirty minutes early. Nine sharp he walks out his room fixing his tie. A cruel cold scoundrel, but still drop-dead gorgeous.

"Eager are we?" he teases with a small smile playing on his lips. Someone is in a good mood. I wonder who scratched behind his ears this morning. Scratched that I don't wanna know.

He gestures with his head to the kitchen. I followed and lean against the counter.

"Tea. Black right?" he asks, and I nod yes. I was kinda hurt that he forgot already. Am I that forgettable?

He glances at the barstool and I cringed. There is no way I'm sitting there or going anywhere near that strike zone. He frowns and hands me my cup of tea and he took a sip of his coffee. We drank our beverage in awkward silence.

"Ava, about the other day. I was pissed off. I wouldn't have forced you."

"Your fingers didn't get the message," I grumbled under my breath finishing my tea.

"It was just to scare you into thinking I would." I didn't say anything. He sighs frustratingly and took our empty cups to the sink.

"The car is waiting outside. He'll take you to school. But remember our agreement Avaluna." he warns me. There was no doubt in my mind he wouldn't go through with it. But I am curious why he changed his mind.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Doing what?"

"Letting me leave?"

"Trying to change my mind?"

"NO!! NO Nooo. I just mean. Why all of a sudden? But it doesn't matter anymore." I took long strides to my bags rambling on," I'm leaving, and I'll keep your secret. And show when you call. I won't tell a soul and-" I yelp as he pulls me into him. My palms pressed against his hard-ripped chest and his arms snaked around my waist.

My breathing deepened, "On-"

"Shut up. I'm not going to hurt you." He gently cups my chin and raises my head, so our eyes meet. They weren't as cold and harsh as before. If anything, his eyes soften, "You're forgetting a part of our deal,"

"I-I am?"

"Yes," he strokes my face gently with his thumb. I like gentle Onyx. His touch didn't feel the same, but I wasn't scared half to death. If he wasn't such a wanker, I might even say this is nice. I crinkle my brows what am I forgetting?

"No one touches you," he said with a straight no-nonsense face. His softness gone." No one Avaluna." he repeated deadlier my heart skips a beat. I nod yes.

"Say it" he commands.

"No one touches me."

"Good girl," he smirks and release me. Bad dog.

The driver puts my bag in the trunk and opens the door for me, "Looks like you finally got what you wanted." Zuri turns to the driver, "Give us a sec," he bows his head and move to the driver side and got in.

"Look on the bright side you won't have to babysit me anymore."

"Babysit? More like pulling teeth."

"Oh, my what big teeth you have or not," I teased.

"Your something you know that."

"I'm Luna." I chirp. "Try not to get shot or die."

"Try not to get kidnapped or trip and fall down the stairs. " she shot back and rolled her eyes, with a small smile playing on her lips and left.

Onyx was standing at the front door, with his hand inside his pocket watching me. He nods goodbye and I nod back, before getting in the car. The driver pulled off and I turn around to fine Onyx still watching the car, with his famous stoic expression.

Beside me was a blue and white box with my name on it. I open it. It was the latest and a brand-new iPhone and MacBook with a note saying, 'Don't forget our deal. -O'

Under the note was a key. It looks like a car key. Maybe someone accidentally dropped it in my box?

"Excuse me."

"Yes, Miss Chesmore?"

"I think someone accidentally dropped their car key in my box," I showed him.

He smiles," No Miss Chesmore. That's yours. Your car is at your dorm waiting for you."

"A car?" I ask incredulously.

"Yes, Miss,"

He bought me a car, laptop and phone? Do I return it? I can't accept this. Then again, after all the shit he put me through, maybe I can accept it. I won't be surprised if they're all bugged. I'll just return it after I'm done. Yea. That's what I'll do.

I relax back staring out the window but couldn't shake this feeling like something was missing. I felt hollow with this strange gnawing in the pit of my stomach. Then again stress can play some terrible tricks on the mind. I can finally breathe again. But I couldn't shake this inkling like something seems off. No Luna you're probably suffering from Stockholm syndrome. I told myself.

This was just a weird crush. That's it nothing less nothing more. Yeah, that's it! Just a crush. His touch and mere presence use to drive me crazy. I was hooked on him. And then just like that. Gone. All it took was watching him get herpes.

His scent-wait his scent. He smelled like- cologne. Not his delicious pine and sandalwood self. Maybe he was going through some wolfie cycle at the time, that altered his scent? His touch, his scent, his eyes, his nickname for me or the way he said my name. If I didn't know better, I'll say that's not Onyx at all. Maybe alien body swap? This is bonkers. Snap out of this Luna! You're free! This is just your mind playing tricks on you.

Even if he fooled me, he can't possibly fool a whole pack of wolves. Come on. It's not like his evil twin just took over his pack. I don't even know the man or anything about him. Other than he is a god in bed. Boy was he good. No no, Luna!

I took a deep breath and clear my mind. It's time to forget Alpha Wyatt Onyx and move on. On the plus side, I won't need my birth control anymore. Since I'll be celibate. I pick my new phone up and began setting it up. Thinking about all my classes and things I had to do this year at school. And hopefully, forget all the bad things that happened in my life these few weeks. New beginnings here I come.
