《Blaze, My Mate》Chapter 9

My mate was back, my Sophia was back. She was more beautiful than I remembered. When I went to see the rogue that crossed into my land, I wanted information and she was dead. Female or not. Her scent hit me and I couldn't believe it was her. She was holding a sleeping pup and Zion told me right away that he was mine.
I rejected my pregnant mate and lost two years of my son's life because I couldn't tell the truth. I wanted to cry and it was hard trying to be strong. It looked like Sophia lived in the wild, and the fact that Azure was two and could shift. I could only imagine what she went through. I couldn't change the past but I was going to make their future the best.
Azure, he had a beautiful name and I wondered what it meant. Sophia was not happy when I called him my son but he was mine like she was. She would know soon enough who she belonged to. I was going to gain her forgiveness at any cost and the fact that she was not leaving would make my mission easier.
"Why don't we go in so you can eat breakfast, you didn't eat dinner last night so you must be hungry," I said to my mate.
"Yes, I'm starving. Thank you Alpha."
Again with this Alpha thing, she was very formal when she addressed me and it hurt but I understood why she did it. I was her mate and she was my Luna, my love, the mother of my son and future kids. I would give anything to see love for me in her eyes instead of hate.
"Please call me Blaze."
She shook her head in disagreement. Nonetheless, she said, "Luna Victoria will have my head if she heard me call you by your name, Alpha."
She called Azure over and he came running to her, she picked him up and went to the pack house. I followed behind them, I wasn't letting them out of my sight any time soon. We got in and there was a loud gasp, it was Lauren.
"Oh my goodness Sophia, it's really you," Lauren said with eyes shining with tears. She came to Sophia and gave her a hug.
"Beta female Turpin, how are you mam?" Sophia inquired, stepping away from Lauren.
Lauren couldn't believe her ears, she kept shaking her head. Hurt was evident on her face but Sophia's face had no emotions at all.
"Sophia please, I'm sor...." my mate didn't let her finish, she glanced at me.

"Alpha, can you send the food to my room?"
Lauren stood there crying. I went to the kitchen to get food for Sophia. I was telling the cook to prepare food for Sophia when Caleb came in, seeming pissed. Why was he angry at me, I didn't make his mate cry. He was over protective of Lauren. She was pregnant and always sick.
"Why didn't you tell me Sophia was back?" he asked.
"She was tired, I wanted her to rest before she met everybody."
It was true, she looked exhausted physically and mentally so I didn't tell her family or my family about her.
"So how is she? Lauren said she was different," Caleb stated, looking a bit scared.
"Why don't you come with me to find out for yourself," I said as the cook handed me a tray with a plate of pancakes, a plate of eggs and bacon and glass of juice.
"I will meet her later. I need to calm Lauren down she is upset. I hope Sophia hears me out," he said under his breath.
Caleb was afraid to face his sister. Her entire family disowned her because she found her mate. Everything was my fault and I wondered if she would forgive me. When I got to her room, Azure was asleep and Sophia was laying next to him. I wished I could join them, just hold my mate and fall asleep surrounded by her scent.
She sat up and I gave her the food. She looked at the food with teary eyes, then she ate some bacon. She sighed and devoured the food within minutes. She drank her juice and said to herself.
"My goodness that was delicious."
When she caught me with my eyes on her, her cheeks turned red. She cleared her throat and looked away. She was adorable and I was getting hard. I wanted to be that glass so she could put her lips on me. I could smell my arousal and I knew she did too because her eyes snapped to mine surprised. I didn't care, she was my mate and she needed to know that I wanted her. There was a knock on the door, it was my parents.
My dad had a sad smile and mom looked like fish out of water. She kept opening and closing her mouth. She didn't know what to say so dad broke the ice.
"Sophia, how are you my dear?"
"I'm fine Alpha Bruce," she said.
"I'm not the Alpha anymore, just Bruce," dad chuckled quietly.
"So where have you been? We looked for you everywhere, and I believe there are people still searching for you."

"Why would you go through such trouble for an outcast like me?" she asked with her head down.
"My dear, you are the Luna of this pack."
"You mean, Victoria is the Luna of this pack. To answer your question, I was in the forest on no man's land."
Mom found her voice and she gasped and put her hand on her chest and said.
"Oh my, you came for revenge, didn't you?"
"Excuse me."
"I mean it makes sense, you have been living with the rogues that want to destroy our pack. You have been hiding, why come here now if it's not for revenge?" mom said.
"I have been on my own for two years so I don't know what you are talking about. As for revenge I was raised to accept challenges life throws at me and move on," Sophia said losing her cool.
"If you want me gone Luna Lisa, I will gladly go but don't you dare accuse me of things I don't know about ."
Zion said, amused.
Sophia reached for our son who was sound asleep, he was sure a heavy sleeper.
"Let him sleep," I said to Sophia and turned to my parents.
"Let me make this clear, if Sophia leaves, then I'm going with her. I'm not losing my mate again."
"Blaze I'm not trying to be the bad guy here, but why is she here now? She admitted to living with the rogues," mom said angrily.
"I don't care why she showed up now, she will tell me if she wants. All I know is if my mate and son leave, I'm gone too," I said with a growl. If mom thought I would be suspicious of Sophia then she was wrong. I didn't care if Sophia worked with the rogues to take her revenge. If my death would bring her peace then I would die a happy man.
"What do you mean your son Blaze," dad asked.
"The pup sleeping on the bed dad."
"Are you sure he is yours Blaze? I mean, how is it possible? If she was pregnant with your child why didn't she say anything?" mom asked me but Sophia answered.
"Your son rejected me Luna Lisa, and you punished me, now tell me -- would you have believed me when I said he got me pregnant?" Mom didn't say anything.
"As for why I came here, I was going to visit my daughter Indigo but my son saw a rabbit and he chased after it. That's how we ended up here," Sophia added sadly.
"What do mean your daughter?" Mom took the words right out of my mouth.
"I was pregnant with twins but Indigo didn't make it so I buried her in this territory. I promised to visit her on their birthday which was two months ago. It has been difficult to move around since those damn rogues showed up," Sophia said camly.
I was flawed, my mate went through that alone, she had to bury a child and be strong enough to care for another one. I hated Victoria so much, I wanted her blood. My daughter died and I wasn't there for my mate. I was so angry that my body began to shake, fighting my wolf for control.
"Blaze, you need to come down, Sophia please calm him down," mom said panicking.
"Why don't you call his Luna, Victoria?"
"You are his Luna Sophia, Victoria had cast a spell on him. Please help him, if his wolf takes over he will be gone for days," mom said crying.
"Okay, what do I do?"
"Let him take in your scent."
Mom stepped back and I put my nose on her neck and held her tightly by the waist. I inhaled deeply and her scent calmed Zion down, he was purring. I pulled her closer to me but she pushed me back and went to sit on the bed.
"I'm so sorry Sophia, you had to go through something like that alone. I hope one day you will find it in your heart to forgive me as the alpha who failed you," dad said with his head down.
"I want you to know that we were deceived by Victoria. She went to a witch and cast a spell on Blaze to love her and choose her as his mate. I know I wasn't fair on you Sophia but you have to understand, I thought I was protecting the pack. Please find it in your heart to forgive us," mom said, kneeling in front of Sophia.
My mate just looked at her and said nothing, she showed no emotions at all. Mom began crying and dad took her out of the room. She got up and went to the bathroom. My son woke up and stared at me, not moving or making any noise but he was relaxed. It made me happy that he was comfortable with me.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
