I am a werewolf and yes we do exist. Anyway, I'm Sophia Turpin. I'm the Beta's daughter. I had good a life, had my group of friends that my brother was a part of. I never had to worry about anything. I was a straight A student, the best female fighter. I did my chores and gave everyone the respect they deserve.

My father was proud of me. I never dated as I was waiting for my mate. My friend Lauren and I made an oath to wait for our mates. She had a major crush on my brother and I was happy when she found out she was his mate when he turned 18.

I belonged to the Firestone pack, our Alpha was Bruce Jones. The Alpha was like the father of the pack, he protected and provided for the pack. His mate was known as the Luna. She was the mother figure she took care of the packs wellbeing and balanced the Alpha. The Alpha needed his mate to be at his strongest. The Alpha without his Luna was weak, that was why no alpha ever rejected their mates because he would never reach his true potential.

There was also the Beta, the Gamma, warriors, trackers, wolves with no rank and omegas. I wanted to be the best warrior that was why I trained so hard to be the best. My brother Caleb never had to worry about anything because he was the future Beta.

The future Alpha, Blaze Jones turned 18 two years ago and he already found his mate Victoria. She was sixteen like me when he announced she was his mate. Honestly I was jealous, I wanted to be the one in his arms. She couldn't sense if he was her mate or not because werewolfs sense their mates when they turn 18.

Nobody was surprised, they had been dating for a year and they were in love. I hated seeing them together it hurt and my wolf Sky never told me why. Victoria and I were never close I just never liked her, and the fact that she was with my crush made matters worse. Only Lauren knew about my crush on Blaze.

Luna Lisa was over the moon when she found out Victoria was her son's mate. She took her under her wing and started her Luna training. Luna Lisa was never that close with my mom she didn't like her and me. It never bothered me that much I preferred Alpha Bruce. He was down to earth and understanding, the Luna not so much if you didn't like same things as her, you were on her bad books.

Victoria was a beautiful girl with red hair and green eyes. Her make up was always perfect, her clothes fitted her like a glove and she had the super model's body. She was perfect in every way and I was just plain me. I had black hair and boring brown eyes. I'm short like 5'5, I had curvy body but built perfectly since I worked out a lot. I didn't like wearing makeup and I loved jeans, t-shirts and snickers. I owned like one pair of heels and my mom bought them for me, and maybe three dresses.

When Victoria turned 18 she was perfect in her red dress and at midnight she confirmed that she was our future Luna. She and Blaze had to wait for Blue moon to mark each other. They would lead the pack on a hunt to show they would always provide for the pack. The Blue moon was like six months away.

Then it was Lauren's 18th birthday party, hers was like a picnic unlike Victoria's which was black tie. At midnight she went to Caleb and they looked happy and in love. At this point I couldn't wait for my birthday which was like two months away. My mate, I wondered if he was in our pack or I would have to look for him in other packs. The weird thing was that whenever I imagined my mate I would see Blaze.

His beautiful blue eyes and black hair that looked so soft, his lips and he was strong, a true Alpha male that was sexy as hell. I had to remind myself that he was Victoria's mate even though it felt wrong. I thought that maybe it's because I had a crush on him that's why I always dreamed of him.

Finally it was my birthday and I was over the moon. I could hardly wait for midnight and hopefully meet my destiny. The other half of my soul and Sky was restless meaning our mate was in the Firestone pack. My party was by the lake in the pack lands and everything was beautiful. My mom out did herself on this one. There were fairy ligts on the surrounding trees, the meat was roasting on the fire, lots of food, no cake just cupcakes and drinks all around. The music was loud there was a lot happiness around.

" How's the birthday girl feeling?" Lauren asked.

"I can't wait to mark my mate tonight," I said with a grin.

"What? you are not waiting for Blue moon. " She was shocked. Why would I wait for Blue moon when my mate is not high ranked, I mean the future Gamma was a female.

"No, I'm not waiting if he wants to mark me tonight then..." She bumped my shoulder and said.

"I never knew you were this eager to pop your cherry."

" Hey, it's not my fault you have been holding out on Caleb for 2 years," I smirked when I saw her blush.

"Danm you guys are strong, or you have your ways of keeping each other happy,"I said wiggling my brows.

" You.." I didn't hear what she said because I ran from her laughing. I loved talking dirty to her just to see her feel embarrassed, I wonder how she is with her mate. Oh, disgusting her mate is my brother gross maybe that's why she is always embarrassed when I talked about them as a couple.

"Sophia." My mom waved at me I went to her. She was standing with dad and her friends. I went to her and she gave me a hug and dad did the same for it was nearly midnight.

"Go stand in front it's time for the count down. I love you, Goddess be with you," my mom said with tears in her eyes.

"You will always be my baby girl, go. I love you," my father said.

I stood in front of the whole pack, all 300 hundred of them excluding the pups under 16. So yeah there were lots of eyes staring at me. The music stopped and the count down begun when they said one, I opened my eyes and looked at every one.

Then his scent hit me and I moaned, it was delicious and I wanted more of it. I wanted to bath in it and live forever surrounded by it. I saw the most beautiful sky blue eyes, they were sparkling and Sky said mate.

My body had the mind of it's own and moved towards him, he just stood there frozen. Our eyes never left each other.
