I was happier than I'd ever been in a long time, I would find myself staring down at my ring and constantly smiling.
This particular day instead of heading to the firehouse I decided to head to the district since Trudy had asked me to come by saying that she had something for me.
I walked into the district and greeted a couple of people. "Hey, Trudy." I greeted her as I approached the front desk.
"Hey honey, give me a sec," she said picking up the phone that was ringing.
I nodded and leaned against the counter as I looked around. "Repeat that again." I heard her in a very serious tone. I turned around and noticed a very nervous look on her face. She hung up.
"Trudy, what's wrong? I can come back later if you'd like."
"No! Come with me." She said as she walked around the counter and started walking up the stairs to the Intelligence unit. She was walking really fast so I had to jog a little to catch up with her.
"Hey y/n nice to see you here," Adam hugged me once we were upstairs. Kevin and Alvin hugged me too.
"Babe, what are you doing here?" Jay asked me confused.
Trudy had gone into Hanks's office and shut the door. "Trudy asked me to come but she just received a phone call and dragged me up here with her, I think something's wrong. " I told Jay.
Hank and Trudy walked out. "Alright everybody listen up, Damien Bates has escaped from a transport vehicle. His last known location was near Jay's and y/n's apartment so we have every reason to believe he is looking for you. It is very likely he'll try to contact you by any means possible." Hank gestured at me.

I felt a cold feeling cover my whole body. Jay took my hand. "I wanna help?" I told Hank stepping forward.
"No! You're staying here!" Jay stood in front of me.
"Hank I won't let him hurt anyone else, if I can help you draw him out then I will," I spoke over Jay.
Jay turned to face Hank. "Sarge please"
"The quicker we get him back to prison the better. Burgess help her gear up." Hank answered Jay and instructed Kim. "Trudy alert 51 and Med he might come looking for there. " Hank told Trudy.
I was about to follow Kim but Jay pulled me back to him. "Why did you do that?" He was calm but I could tell he was furious.
I placed my hand on his cheek. "I'm done hiding Jay, I won't sit around again waiting for him to find me. " I told him. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before walking to Kim.

"Bar?" I suggested.
"Perfect." Kim winked at me. She rubbed my arm noticing I was nervous. "We got you y/n." She smiled.
Hank walked down "Ok so y/n you'll be walking to Molly's at your usual shift time. We'll be surrounding the area looking and listening in on your every move, if you see anything suspicious let us know. Use the safe word if he pulls out a weapon or if you feel in danger. Understood?"
"Yes Sarge"
"Jay, you're riding with me," Hank instructed him.

Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.

(GMT-ish) Trigger warning. The Wolf Saga may not be suited for you if any of the following disturbs you: - The story will have fighting and killing. The gore will not be explicit, but there will be descriptions such as "head burst like a melon", "instantly turned to cinders", "blood splashed/fountained" etc. Most of the violence will be performed by the protagonist, some of it before he reaches his teens. If such scenes bother you, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have sexual content. It's there for a reason. Once again, these scenes will not be explicit. Genitals will be mentioned sometimes, but never described in detail. Nude bodies will be described in passing, without too many specific details. If you're afraid of nipples, you should probably give Wolf a pass. - The story will have a decent amount of cursing. If you haven't given up by now, this is unlikely to bother you. Still, I believe I should forewarn you that a number of curse words will be making appearance from time to time. - The story will have no small amount of loss for the main character. If you enjoy novels in which everything is fine, the protagonist makes it at the last moment and saves the day... This is not such a story. Life happens. As a reader, I'm annoyed with heroes making it in the nick of time, so for the sake of fairness I used dice on a number of occasions, making do with the result. Sometimes it was anticlimactic, sometimes it was tragic and it led to the story you see before you. This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. Expect logic to not be all there.
