《Jay Halstead x Reader Story/Imagine》(50. I do)

Today was the day. Jay and I were getting married. We said goodbye to each other in the early morning, kissing each other real hard.

"In a few hours, I'm gonna be Mrs. Halstead" It felt like a dream.

"In a few hours, I'm gonna be the luckiest man in the world." He smiled before kissing me again.

"It doesn't feel real." I couldn't stop smiling.

"I'm gonna miss you." He kept a tight grip with his arms around my waist.

"Me too, but after this, we're spending the rest of our lives together, till death do us apart." I reminded him.

"I do," he answered with a huge smirk.

"Not yet baby." I laughed and then we heard a knock at the door.

"C, mon we need to get you ready." Trudy had come in without waiting for us to open the door, as usual.

"Alright, I'll see you soon." Jay kissed me one last time before walking out. He was meeting with the guys and getting ready later.

"You ready honey?" Trudy asked me grabbing the bags I had laid on the couch.

"Yes...yes, I am." I took a deep breath before walking out with Trudy.

The venue looked beautiful, I was there early to get my hair and make-up ready.

All the bridesmaid dresses were also there and I knew Gabby, Brett, Kim, Hailey, Stella, and Natalie would be here soon too.

I had just walked out of the shower when Brett and Natalie arrived. "Hey girl, just in time for makeup!" Brett squealed excitedly.

"Yep." I laughed at her cuteness. "Nat, will you do my hair?" I asked her.

"Of course." She clapped her hands excitedly too.

The girls did my hair before they started doing their hair and makeup too, the rest of the bridesmaids arriving soon after and starting to get ready as well.

We had about 1 hour before the ceremony started and it was time for me to put my wedding dress on. This dress was extremely special to me. In one of the sleepovers that I had with Nadia before she was killed we had spent hours looking through wedding dresses, she insisted Jay and I were getting married even though I didn't even think he was into me. She was more excited for this non-existent wedding than I was, told me she was gonna be the best bridesmaid there ever was, and she kept telling me this dress was the one, this dress had to be the one I got married in.

I'm not gonna lie, I cried with Jay a few times thinking about how Nadia couldn't be here with us for our very special day but I knew that this was a way that she could be with me in spirit, and I knew she'd be smiling down at us, cheering us on.

"Step in." Stella and Gabby held the dress open for me. Kim extended her hand out to me and I stepped in. The girls slipped the dress on and zipped it up.

"Wow, you look beautiful." I heard Trudy's voice. She had just stepped into the room, she had been receiving guests. She was holding in tears.

"Stop Mah, you're gonna make me cry and they spent hours doing my makeup." I dabbed my eyes trying to keep the tears in.

I turned around to look at myself in the mirror. Trudy was right, I looked so beautiful. I felt butterflies in my stomach picturing myself walking down the aisle to Jay, I was so nervous but so ready I felt like I could throw up from all of the emotions.

The girls had left, including Trudy, they had gone to join Jay and the rest of the guys at the end of the aisle. "It's time." Adam arrived leaning against the door, he was holding my bouquet.

"I'm nervous," I told him.

"You look so beautiful." He was tearing up looking at me. "I am so proud of you sis."

I couldn't help but tear up too. "I love you Ruz." I walked over to him giving him a tight hug but letting go before I started crying. "Okay, let's go before all my makeup is gone." I laughed.

"Let's go." He extended his arm out for me and we linked arms.

We made it to the aisle and my eyes immediately connected with his. The song started playing (The call by Regina Spektor, link on the top). I started walking but it was like the rest of the world no longer existed, it was just him and I. Neither of us could contain our tears. The walk lasted a while, but during that time all my nerves had disappeared, I felt nothing but happiness, knowing that in a few seconds I was marrying my favorite person in the world, my best friend, the love of my life.

I kissed Adam's cheek as he left me in front of Jay. Jay extended his hands out for me to hold and I took them. "You're the most mesmerizing woman I've ever seen." He whispered to me as the song was coming to an end.

"You're the prettiest man I've ever laid eyes on," I whispered to him giving him a wink.

"We are gathered here today-" The priest started and Jay and I stayed quiet.

Jay and I spent the whole wedding admiring each other, so much love in our eyes, it was still like we were the only two people in the whole world.

"Do you y/f/n take Jay Alexander Halstead to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, until death do you apart?"

"I do," I answered.

"Do you Jay Alexander Halstead take y/f/n to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, until death do you apart?"

"I do." He answered.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." The priest finished.

Jay wrapped his hands around my waist and I placed my hand on his cheeks as we stepped forward into a passionate kiss, our family and friends clapping and cheering at us from their seats.

Jay and I then pulled away taking each others hands before walking back down the aisle again, everyone throwing dried flowers over us as we walked through.
