Chapter 11

While walking, Luo Mingli finally said what he wanted to say. "Your highness' wisdom is truly far reaching, if someone was planning one step forward, your highness plans ten steps ahead."

Rong Yuhang gave a small amused smile. "You understand what I was doing?"

"If my deductions do not offend, using our marriage as an excuse, your highness is able to gain some wealth and reap some benefits."

"Not bad. You're pretty much right." Rong Yuhang brought out the key and from where they were stood, a gigantic doorway was decorated simply but the materials used to create such a treasury vault would've been unimaginable.

Placing the key into the correct position, the vault magically twisted by itself and the layers of the doors opened one by one until it revealed the other side.

Taking a step inside, they saw countless priceless treasures that would cause an entire battlefield to bathe in blood for several months.

"You can look around to see what you want." Then Rong Yuhang sharply said. "Remember, this is probably the only chance we'll get so choose something useful."

"Yes, your highness."

Luo Mingli and Rong Yuhang went to different sections to explore. They only had 24 hours inside the vault and after that, they had to leave.

Looking around, Luo Mingli saw many artifacts and weapons, elixers and pills, even cultivation methods and more.

It appeared as if it had everything in here but it wasn't that tidy as the treasures were just laid out in random places.

Thinking of his own situation, Luo Mingli doubted that he would find anything that could awaken his spiritual roots. He didn't know what his spiritual roots were neither did such a thing didn't exist in his previous life.

In the end, he decided on taking a special material that could be used to refine.

Luo Mingli's master had taught him everything he needed whether it be fighting with swords, writing talismans, learning arrays and formations, alchemy, craft refining and even playing instruments.

Except all these were basically useless right now since he couldn't even use spiritual energy at all!

On Rong Yuhang's side, he was looking through many cultivation manuals and scripts.

In his last life, he found out that he had a thunder spiritual root but because he practiced the wrong type of cultivation method, there was a stunt in his growth and the only way to further improve was to abolish his cultivation.

However, by the time he had realised this, there wasn't any chance to do so anymore as the grudges and fights against Lin Yangqiu and him had reached the critical stages.

If he abolished his cultivation then, he would've died by their hands. However, fate really likes to play with people. He didn't abolish it but still ended up dying by their hands.

If he knew he would end up dying no matter what, he would've just killed himself right then and there to avoid giving them any satisfaction.

After looking through for almost half the day, Rong Yuhang still didn't find any suitable cultivation method that suited his thunder root physique.

Mutated spiritual roots were extremely rare, rarer than having a heavenly spiritual root (having only 1 root of the 5 elements) and would often be singular.

Rong Yuhang thought he would find a suitable method here since the Rong's wealth had accumulated throughout hundreds of years but it seemed to be a fail.

He decided to go find Luo Mingli so he released his spiritual sense and swept through the area until he locked in on his position.

Luo Mingli had searched and rummaged around a lot but didn't find what he wanted. Of course, everything inside the treasury was valuable. But it wasn't up to Luo Mingli's standards since he had always had the best of the best either from his master or obtained by himself.

As he was thinking of just randomly picking the best material which was the bones of a 7th grade demonic beast, his hand stopped in place and he turned around.

Seeing nothing behind him, Luo Mingli became skeptical but he didn't show it and went to go pick up the bone only for it to be knocked out of his hand.

Luo Mingli, "..."

He tried to pick it up again but it rolled away from him.

Then he tried again but failed yet again.

Luo Mingli, "..."

Forget it, he didn't want to do something that looked incredibly stupid. For a moment, he thought Rong Yuhang might be playing a joke on him so he called out.

"Your highness?"

There was no reply so he thought maybe Rong Yuhang was still hiding or that it really wasn't his doing.

After thinking about it, he thought that although Rong Yuhang was playful, he wouldn't waste time playing tricks on him unless he went crazy.

As he turned round, his face inadvertently hit something hard.

Puff--

Caught off guard, Luo Mingli stepped back unknowingly stepping on a scroll, he lost his balance.

Luo Mingli, "!!"

Without a second thought, he grabbed the thing in front of him and gave a silent breath of relief.

Then, he heard a cough above him and looked up to see a familiar, handsome face smiling ever so suggestively. "I see my little wife has missed me after being apart for a bit."

Luo Mingli immediately let go afterwards acting as if he was not the one who just pulled the seventh prince's robe. "My apologies your highness, this one was unaware of your arrival and was unprepared."

Rong Yuhang was not surprised by his reaction. He had always had the same steady expression that wouldn't collapse even if the entire heavens collapsed.

" Have you found what you wanted?" Rong Yuhang looked around and saw a bone on the ground. He pointed to it and asked. "Is that what you want?"

Luo Mingli nodded and answered. "Yes."

Rong Yuhang's made a strange expression. "Why would you want something like that? Wouldn't it be better to get a defense artifact to protect yourself since you can't cultivate."

He bent over and picked up the bone inspecting it, the curve on his lips expressed clear disdain. "It's a grade 7 demonic beast tooth. Only craft refining cultivators would want this. Why would you want it? Don't tell me you want to get someone to craft you a weapon."

Luo Mingli walked over and thought for a bit before deciding to tell Rong Yuhang. He didn't really need to keep it a secret anyways. "I have knowledge on how to craft refining."

"Even if you know craft refining, without cultivation, anything you make would be nothing more than a mortal's weapon. Choose something else."Rong Yuhang made no room for any refusals in his tone, it was clear cut and penetrative.

"I will be able to cultivate soon." Luo Mingli didn't relent causing Rong Yuhang's face to drop. He released the pressure of his cultivation on Luo Mingli making his face pale and trapping him in place.

Rong Yuhang was 2 years older physically than Luo Mingli with the addition of his malnutrition and skinny stature, Rong Yuhang was significantly taller and his build was muscular but lean, towering over Luo Mingli and suppressing him in every way.

With the tooth bone in his hand, Rong Yuhang glided it right next to Luo Mingli's neck, a few milliliters away from breaking the skin. "If something were to happen to you now, then your statement of being able to cultivate soon won't... exist anymore."

Rong Yuhang sounded very heartbroken and his expression was full of pity. Yet he was also the one threatening to slit his throat and the eyes didn't match what he was saying at all. They were cold and ruthless.

However, two could play it that way.

Stretching his hand out, Luo Mingli grasped Rong Yuhang's cheek and his eyes were showed sadness and loss. "Your highness doesn't want this one anymore?"

Rong Yuhang blinked innocently and rubbed into the hand while grinning. "This Prince will forever want you, no one could replace someone as lovely as my little wife here. As long as you choose wisely then I will forever cherish you for what you're worth."

Luo Mingli's expression seemed to relax and he brought out a small content smile while saying, "Your highness' words makes this one feel very joyful. Will your highness be willing to spoil and forgive this one once?"

The hand holding the bone aimed the sharp tip closer to the neck and Rong Yuhang's expression became increasingly kind. "My dear wife, you really want to be spoiled don't you?"

Luio Mingli didn't flinch nor show any sign of fear. "Yes your highness. Forgive this one for wanting to be spoiled."

Rong Yuhang sighed distantly. "It can't be helped, my wife is just too lovable. I can't resist you."

He moved the bone away from his neck making Luo Mingli think it was over but in the next second, a flash went by his eyes.

The loud crash deafened his ears and the static light blurred his vision. Luo Mingli used his arms to block his vitals instantly.

Rong Yuhang was mildly surprised. He had pretended to leave when in reality, he turned around immediately trying to stab Luo Mingli with murderous intent only to be blocked by a barrier.
