A/N: Here it is, the very last installment of Everything Inbetween Bones A.K.A. Sad Gay Boys Figure Out Life. The song for this chapter is Throwing Punches And Taking Hits by Elizabeth Grace. I'm kind of crying and drinking fake wine to celebrate this. I hope you enjoy it. I know I've said this, but the new book is coming out soon, I've already started it, you can follow me if you want so you don't miss the release, I think you guys will really enjoy it. The next one is focusing more on ADHD and figuring out sexuality amidst a homophobic environment, it's going to be a lot of fun to write and I hope to see you there. Enjoy this and remember to take care of yourself!
Logan held his breath as he stood on the scale, biting the inside of his cheek, keeping his eyes off the number. He wasn't sure what he was so anxious about, he knew he'd gained weight, he'd gotten used to that. He was almost 4 months into recovery and he'd slipped up a couple of days, but for the most part, he'd been doing good and he felt a lot better too. He glanced up at Oliver who was wearing a small, proud smile as he wrote Logan's new weight down.
"What is it?" Logan asked, looking up at him and Oliver set the chart on the bathroom sink.
"A hundred." Oliver said with a grin and Logan's eyes widened, looking to the scale in somewhat disbelief as Oliver wrapped his arms around his waist, gently kissing his neck. "I'm so proud of you, Bear. Are you alright?" He asked and Logan nodded. There was a part of him that was terrified, there'd been a time where he'd vowed never to reach a hundred pounds again, but another part of him was excited that'd he'd reached such a big milestone and he'd made so much progress. He wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.
"I..I can't believe I did it." He said softly and he giggled softly when Oliver kissed his cheek.
"I can, you've worked really hard to get here." Oliver said softly. "How about we go celebrate? We can go to the overlook or go out for ice cream or something."
"We could bring ice cream to the overlook." Logan suggested.
"Wouldn't it melt before we got there?"
"Maybe we can go on a hike and get ice cream on the way back." Logan said and Oliver nodded.
"Yeah, get on some clothes and then we can drive over and walk the trail for a bit." Oliver said. Logan smiled and walked to his room, pulling on a t-shirt and jeans. He'd had to start buying new clothes, that was one of the things that nagged at him, realizing he wasn't small enough to fit in his old jeans anymore, but he knew that was inevitable. He was at least glad that Oliver never commented on it. They had an unspoken rule against discussing weight or calories unless Logan brought it up, Oliver never even ventured far enough to say he looked healthier. He sometimes instead brought up how Logan looked brighter or complimented his personality which Logan thought was kind of sweet.
---
Logan giggled softly, keeping his arms securely around Oliver's neck with his legs wrapped around his waist as Oliver walked the trail. Oliver shifted every now and again to get a firmer hold on Logan's legs. Logan had kind of thought when he said 'hike' he'd meant they'd both be hiking, but then Oliver had offered him a piggy back ride and how was he supposed to refuse? He rested his chin atop his boyfriend's head, gently poking his cheek.

"How long until we're there?" He asked, looking out at the woods, it was interesting to see it from a different perspective.
"Like ten minutes." Oliver said and Logan smiled.
"It's really warm today."
"I know, it's great, it would be the perfect time for a photoshoot." Oliver said with a small smirk.
"Maybe just a little one."
"Wait, really?" Oliver asked and Logan nodded.
"But you can't post the pictures anywhere." Logan said.
"Deal."
"Also you have to play me a song on your guitar." Oliver chuckled.
"Sure."
They got to the overlook and Oliver turned his camera on, flipping through settings to get it ready for taking photos. He'd brought his camera along in case there were any raccoons or interesting flowers to photograph but he hadn't expected Logan to seriously be okay having his picture taken.
"Does my hair look okay?" Logan asked and Oliver grinned, leaning down to kiss the top of his head.
"Your hair looks beautiful." Oliver looked around for the right spot to start. "Maybe sit on that rock over there, the light will hit nicely." Oliver said and Logan nodded, walking over and sitting down, his legs crisscrossed. "Gorgeous." Oliver said and Logan blushed, giggling softly. He quickly snapped a shot of it.
"Wait, I wasn't ready." Logan said, a smile still on his face.
"You looked cute, I couldn't help it." Oliver said with a shrug and Logan rolled his eyes. "Are you ready now?"
"Yeah, go ahead." He said, looking up at the lense with a small smile.
"God, you're breathtaking." Oliver said and Logan grinned.
"Shut up!"
"No." Oliver grinned back.
"Dick."
"You love me."
"W-..whatever." Logan said, blushing all over again.
Oliver grinned, taking a few more photos. He directed Logan around to a tree, another spot on the rocks, and a spot in the grass before he was finished.
"Can I see them?" Logan asked and Oliver nodded as he sat down in the grass next to him, handing Logan his camera, pressing the button to switch over to photos and Logan's eyes widened as he looked at the pictures. He didn't like all of them mostly due to thinking his hair looked off or his arm looked to fat but they were all beautifully taken regardless. "These are really good."
"Thank you. I think the subject really makes the picture." He said and Logan gave him a little look.
"I don't think I'm nearly as pretty as most of the flowers around here."
"I'd beg to differ." Oliver said with a smile, taking his camera back to turn it off. Logan scooched closer to him and Oliver wrapped his arms around the boy. They sat staring at the view for a long time, watching over the cliffs at the lake as birds flew past.
Logan looked around, a small smile on his face as he noticed the multitude of different flowers in the forest and he got up, walking over to pick a few. Oliver looked at him in slight confusion. "What are you doing?"
"Shush."
"Did you just shush me?"
"Yes, it's a surprise."
"Oh." Oliver said, chuckling softly and Logan came to sit back between his legs, twisting the stems into a flower crown, sitting it on Oliver's head with a grin. Oliver cocked an eyebrow at him with a grin and gently lifted it off, putting it on Logan's head before he kissed him. "Wait, sit still, I want another picture of you."

"You're such a soccer mom."
"You're cute."
---
Logan walked up to the counter holding Oliver's hand, trying to decide what he wanted. He was considering asking for chocolate, but cookie dough icecream was also good. He paused when he saw the calories next to the listings. Chocolate (150). Cookie Dough (200). 200? Isn't that what I used to eat in a day sometimes. God, what happened to you?
Oliver glanced down at him, seeming to notice something was up and he gently squeezed Logan's hand.
"I-I'm actually not that in the mood for icecream." Logan said and Oliver paused, probably not wanting to bring it up in public.
"I'll just get one scoop of chocolate in a bowl then." He said and the cashier nodded with a smile.
When they were walking out, Oliver looked at Logan again. Something like this hadn't happened in a few weeks. "Hey, are you alright? What happened?"
"I-I don't know, I just..saw the numbers and I guess it kind of set me off." He said and Oliver sighed softly.
"I probably should have asked you what you wanted before we went in."
"No, it's not your fault, it's..it's nobody's fault, it just happens sometimes." Logan said and Oliver smiled, leaning down to kiss his nose.
"But it's been getting easier, right?"
"Yeah, it has." Logan said, and it had, he could eat without anyone watching him to make sure he did and he didn't count the calories all the time. "Could we talk about something else?"
"Yeah. Do you want to watch a movie when we get to your house?" Oliver asked and Logan smiled.
"But we always watch movies."
"What would you propose we do instead?"
"Well first you have to sing to me, then maybe we could bake cookies or something." Logan said and Oliver smiled.
"That sounds fun."
---
"Okay..we need two eggs." Logan said, looking at the back of the chocolate chips bag for directions. "Then vegetable oil, butter, baking soda, flour, water, and sugar." Oliver quickly collected up ingredients and Logan measured it all out, putting it in the bowl before he started mixing them together. "Do you think it looks okay?" Logan asked as it started to become one doughy substance.
Oliver rested his chin on Logan's shoulder, one arm wrapping around his waist as he dipped his finger into the dough, trying it. "It's good."
"Oliver!"
"What?"
"That's so unsanitary."
"Logan, come on, you'd suck on my finger if I told you to, what's the difference between that and putting it in the dough? There's not enough for anyone else to eat it so it's just us." Oliver said close to Logan's ear before gently biting it and the boy blushed.
"I-It's just different." Logan said and Oliver rolled his eyes, putting his finger back in the dough before holding it up to Logan's mouth.
"Try it." He said softly and Logan hesitated a moment before he did, gently sucking on Oliver's finger to get the dough off.
"You're so mean."
"But it's good though, right?" Oliver asked, spinning Logan around and the boy sighed.
"Yeah, it's good." He said with a small smile.
"Good, let's get it in the oven."
---
They laid on the living room floor surrounded by pillows and blankets, the cookie tin sitting mostly finished off to the side. Logan had eaten one and Oliver had taken three but there were still a few left over for later. Oliver's guitar was sitting against the wall, he'd sung Logan a few songs earlier, he was better than he said. He'd always been a good singer, he just didn't sing much. His voice was soft and clear, it was so calming.
Logan set his cheek on Oliver's chest, wrapped around him like a koala and Oliver just chuckled, holding him tightly, kissing the top of his head.
"Will you still love me if I'm fat?" Logan asked quietly out of the blue, it was something he'd wanted to ask but hadn't before.
"I don't care what you look like, Logan, you'll always be beautiful to me."
"Are you sure? Because I feel like if I was a sewage monster you probably wouldn't love me."
"You could be a slimy sticky mass of green junk and I'd still love you." Oliver said with a quiet laugh. "I just want you, I love how you look, your hair is adorable and you have the prettiest eyes I've ever seen and your cute little button nose, but your weight is not what I'm attracted to. I think you'd have every right to call me sick and twisted if all I loved about you was the fact that you were underweight, and I think I'd call myself a fool if that was all I saw and not everything besides that, all the beautiful things about you other than your body."
"I love you."
"I love you too." Oliver said, shifting to kiss Logan's cheek. "My adorable little teddy bear."
"I'm not adorable."
"Liar."
"Am not!" Logan said but it was drowned out by giggles when Oliver elected to squeeze his hips instead of continue their back and forth. Logan grabbed his hands and squirmed, cursing through his laughter until Oliver finally stopped, just holding him close.
They laid there on the floor in the dark. Logan felt warm and safe in Oliver's arms, the smell of his shirt so familiar and comforting. He was not afraid of the future nor the present. He had the passing thought that he wanted to spend all of his moments with him, happy or sad, he wanted Oliver to be there, to see his favorite places and eat good food and laugh at terrible jokes. Whether he spent his life in love with Oliver, whether he married him or not, he hoped he'd always have him.
"Hey Oli."
"Hm?"
"If the world ends tonight, I hope I find you in the next one."
And then Oliver kissed him and his lips were soft and Logan fell in love again.
