The night of the musical, Logan hung out in the hair and makeup room as everyone got ready. Ivy had on dramatic makeup but it wouldn't be as noticeable up on stage. Sy was trying to sit still as Alex did his face paint. Tyler was running around making sure everyone's mics were working, Oliver was...somewhere. Logan wasn't sure where he'd gone off to, but he was on lights so he didn't need to be doing anything yet. Technically Logan didn't need to be there but he had a free ticket anyway so he wanted to see everyone perform and keep Oliver company when he wasn't busy.

"I'm going to smudge your makeup if you don't stop fidgeting." Alex said, pulling the brush away from Sy's face.

"I can't help it." He said.

"I don't even know how you're so nervous, you're going to do amazing, you never forget your lines, you've had them memorized since the end of the first week." Ivy said, looking at herself in the mirror, twirling around in her dress.

"How are you not nervous?" Sy questioned her.

"Oh I am, I'm just not going to freak out." She said and Grace walked in wearing her large, floor length dress with its ruffled collar, she wore bright red lipstick and all of her makeup was focused around red hearts.

"You look amazing." Ivy said with a grin.

"You look better, I look like a villain."

"Villains are fucking hot." Ivy said and Grace laughed softly.

"Where's Mark?" Grace asked.

"Having a temper tantrum." Sy said with a soft sigh.

"Apparently the orange on his left contact and the orange eyeshadow on his right eye don't match up well enough so he's freaking out." Logan explained and Grace rolled her eyes.

"Tell him to get his ass in here, the show's about to start and he's the Hatter."

"He'll be out in time, he just needs to complain about the production for a bit." Ivy said. "He always does this."

"Every fucking year." Sy said sounding tired.

Mrs. Abernathy walked in and looked around the room. "Curtain call is in ten, where's Mark?"

"In the boys bathroom." Logan said. "He's ready, he's probably just glaring at himself in the mirror."

"Could you get him?" She asked and he nodded, getting up.

"Tell him I'll kick his ass if he ruins this show." Sy said and Logan smiled a little before he nodded and left. He and Sy had been on better terms lately. They'd been talking more, they only hung out in the group but they could have a conversation and make remarks to eachother again. It wasn't the same, and it wasn't better, but it was what they had. Besides Jace, things were almost okay. It wasn't like Jace hung out with them, but he was there, like an elephant in the room, Sy was dating the guy that Logan couldn't even look at. It was okay though, it was.

Logan walked into the boy's bathroom where Mark was pacing around, pulling his fingers through his hair. He looked up when the door opened and his eyes settled on Logan, his eyebrows raised.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, his tone sounding almost accusing. Logan wondered how he'd ever had a crush on him.

"I um..curtain call is in ten, well, nine now."

"Did they find a decent eye shadow?"

"Mark, curtain call is in nine minutes, nobody can tell from below the stage anyway."

"That doesn't matter, I need to be perfect, all of this needs to be right, how am I supposed to be the Mad Hatter if my eyes don't even match my eyeshadow?"

"The Mad Hatter wouldn't have matching anything, he's insane, remember?"

"But it's like..fuck, I can't do this." Mark breathed out. "I can't do it, Syrus would be better for the role anyway."

"You'll do fine, we've rehearsed it a million times, just put on your hat and get out there." Logan said, picking up the hat off the sink and handing it to Mark. Mark took the hat and then looked down at Logan for a moment.

"Are you ready to go?" Logan asked a bit impatiently.

"Yeah, but..just a second. Do you remember a few years ago when you like..told me you liked me and I kind of freaked out?"

"You mean when you told the whole school I was gay and most of them said they already knew? Yeah." Logan said, looking up at him, his usual happy demeanor shifted into an almost annoyed expression.

"I'm sorry for that." He said and Logan paused a moment. "I mean, I'm not like, gay or anything, don't get the wrong idea, I don't swing that way, but I shouldn't have outed you, that was out of line and I've been meaning to tell you for while." He said and Logan thought about that for a moment.

"I forgive you." He said softly, and he hadn't realized it, but even if he'd forgotten about it, he could still feel the pain of that day, and all the following ones, he'd resented Mark for that for so long, but if he really was sorry and made a point to tell Logan that, he was ready to let it go. He thought maybe he really could forgive Jace too, or prove that he hadn't changed if nothing else. "Really, come on though, we've got four minutes." Logan said and Mark nodded.

"Thanks, man." Mark said and Logan smiled a little as he watched Mark walk out. He walked out too after another moment.

Logan walked out to the auditorium, walking over to the light stand that Oliver was supposed to be at and he looked around for a moment, confused as it was only a few minutes until the musical started and he couldn't find Oliver at his station even if it was dark. He felt hands on his shoulders, pulling him into a warm chest. "Looking for someone?" He giggled and spun around to see Oliver.

"Hey." Logan said with a grin.

"Hey, come to watch the show?" Oliver asked and Logan shrugged.

"I guess I also planned to keep someone company."

"Who might that be?" Oliver asked playfully.

"Tyler, I mean, he'll be in the back doing sound all by himself. Someone's gotta keep him company." Logan said and Oliver chuckled, leaning down to kiss his cheek.

"I gotta get the lights in position." Oliver said, getting up on the light stand to fix the light in the right place. Logan sat criss-crossed on the platform. The overhead lights had dimmed and everyone was finding their seats or turning off their phones as the show was starting in a couple of minutes.

---

Logan watched as the stage dimmed and the overhead lights were turned on. He glanced up at Oliver who stretched his arms above his head before hopping down off the platform.

"You could have gotten a seat, you know." He said and Logan shrugged.

"I like it here better." He said and Oliver nodded.

"Do you want to go walk around for a bit? We have like, twenty minutes."

"Sure." Logan said, hopping down and stuffing his hands into the pockets of Oliver's jacket which was basically his at this point.

"You know I'm starting to wonder if I should just get you a jacket at this point if you like it so much." Oliver said with a chuckle.

"But I don't want just any jacket, I want yours." Logan said with a little smile and Oliver raised an eyebrow.

"What, is it just the knowing that you've slowly pulled off the least and most sneaky theft ever?" Oliver asked with a grin.

"Yeah, that's it." Logan said with a smile. "It's just like..it's a nice big jacket and it's warm and it smells nice." He said, his face tinting pink.

"How about I buy you a jacket and you can put my cologne on it?" Oliver suggested and Logan thought about it for a moment.

"I don't think it would be the same." Logan said and Oliver laughed.

"I'm known for my jacket though, what are people supposed to know me as without my jacket?"

"My boyfriend?" Logan suggested with a giggle and Oliver leaned down to kiss the top of his head.

"Fair enough."

---

The audience clapped as the curtain closed for the last time. Logan looked up as Oiver shut off his light and stepped down from the platform.

"Your dads never came then?" Oliver asked and Logan shrugged.

"I didn't think they would, they work late on Saturdays and they had a meeting tonight." He said and Oliver nodded a bit.

"Well, I'm glad you came for me." Oliver said and Logan smiled.

"I wouldn't miss it." He giggled.

They were walking out when Logan saw Jace across the room and his heart stopped. He held tightly to Oliver's hand as Jace saw him and started the way over to them. He looked up at Oliver whose jaw was locked. Jace walked up to them, his eyes falling down to Logan.

"Hey-"

"What are you doing here?" Logan hadn't heard Oliver sound mad or scary very often, but his voice was gruff and it seemed to make Jace stop in his tracks.

"I came to see the musical."

"I thought you hated musicals." Oliver countered.

"I changed my mind, I have a friend in it anyway. Speaking of, Logan, can I talk to y-"

"I thought I told you to leave him alone." Oliver said, narrowing his eyes at Jace.

"Oli, it's fine." Logan said softly and Oliver looked down at him, a bit surprised. Logan took a breath, barely able to look up at Jace. He reached up to play with the collar of his sweater, his eyes finally meeting Jace's. "What do you want?" He sounded more scared than he wanted to.

"I just..you know, it'd mean a lot to Sy if we could at least be on somewhat neutral terms." Jace said, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"So?"

"So I thought maybe we could just..I don't know, talk about some things properly, maybe over coffee or something." Jace said and Logan stood for a moment. What was he supposed to say? 'Sure, Jace, let's hang out and be buddy buddy after you beat me to a pulp on multiple occasions.' He took a breath.

"I have off work Tuesday." He said.

"At five?"

"Yeah, at the coffee shop."

"Cool." Jace said and Logan nodded, looking away from him to look back to Oliver, a small smile forming on his lips. "Can we head to my house? I'm tired."

"Sure." Oliver said, glancing at Jace again before walking out to his car with Logan. "You know you don't have to meet up with Jace, if you're just doing it to keep your friendship with Syrus-"

"I want to." Logan said softly. "It's been a while since everything with him ended, and I know I can be mad at him as long as I want, and it's not like I'm going to forget it, but I..I need to try to start letting go of things that are holding me back. If he's changed and regrets what he did, being mad at him forever won't help anything. If he apologizes, like, truly feels bad and apologizes, I think I'll forgive him, or I'll try to. So I want to hear him out." Logan said and Oliver smiled softly.

"You're so kind, bear." Oliver said softly and Logan smiled.

"I try to be."

"Come on, I'll take you home." Oliver said and Logan nodded.

"Do you have work tomorrow?"

"Afternoon shift."

"You could sleep over." Logan said with a small smile and Oliver chuckled softly.

"Aren't your dads going to be home tonight?"

"They won't be home until at least twelve." Logan said and Oliver cocked an eyebrow.

"I guess I'll have to call Judas then." He said and Logan giggled, happy to have won him over.
