A/N: Hey, so I haven't done anything productive today besides this, so have it. I've had a couple Mother Mother songs on the book, this is a good one too. I don't have much to say but I hope everyone's having a good day. I haven't felt human emotion in 3 business days and it's okay. Anyways, I'll stop rambling, I hope you like this chapter.

Sunlight filtered in through sheer curtains as two boys laid in bed, Logan curled up on top of Oliver, only covered by the soft comforter on Logan's bed. There was nothing but peaceful quiet and warmth, no pain or hate left in the world, or at least not in the room.

Logan woke up with a quiet groan, his eyes sleepily blinking open and falling shut again as he rolled over a bit only to realize that he was still laying naked next to his boyfriend and he was pretty sure everything was sore, though there was a distinct pain down his back. Oliver rolled over a bit, stretching a bit as he began to wake up and smiled when he saw Logan.

"Morning, how do you feel?"

"Sore." Logan said with a giggle and Oliver nodded, chuckling.

"How about we go take a bath and then we can figure out what to do today?" Oliver suggested and Logan nodded, still a bit sleepy.

"Carry me?" He asked with a little smile and Oliver grinned, kissing his forehead before picking him up, walking to the bathroom. He set Logan down on the bathroom counter and walked over to the large corner tub, starting a bath and making sure it was warm enough before he picked Logan back up again.

"Your bath is like a hot tub." Oliver said and Logan laughed softly. "Why does it need two faucets?"

"One for you and one for me?" Logan shrugged.

"That's a bit excessive."

"I'm sorry, I don't come to your house and insult your bathtub."

"We don't have a bathtub."

"Well I don't insult your shower." Logan said, curling up in front of Oliver as he was set down in the warm water, the two of them sitting cuddled up together.

"You're so cute." Oliver said and Logan blushed, smiling a little and splashing him. Oliver just splashed him back and of course this resulted in all out war which lasted several minutes until Logan held his hands up in defense, giggling and Oliver stopped, pulling him closer to kiss him, a grin on his face. "Here, let me wash your hair for you." Oliver said gently and Logan nodded, turning around again and letting Oliver massage shampoo into his hair.

"Has anyone ever told you you're really good with your hands?" Logan asked playfully as he tilted his head back into the touch.

"Many times." Oliver said back with a smirk and Logan laughed softly. "Close your eyes, I don't want you getting soap in them." He said and Logan complied so he began washing out the shampoo with handfuls of water until it was all out and he pulled the boy closer. "Done." He said with a small smile, nuzzling his nose into his neck, Logan squirmed.

"Oli, don't! th-that tickles!" He giggled and Oliver only gave a devilish smirk.

"Wait, you mean this?" He asked, not stopping but just moving to wrap his arms around his waist, pinching his sides. The boy squeaked and squirmed, though only really pressing himself into Oliver which didn't seem to be helping him escape the wiggling fingers and teasing affection.

"N-No fa-ir!" Logan squeaked as Oliver's fingers moved towards his ribs and Logan twisted about, giggling and trying to grab Oliver's hands until he was almost in tears and his boyfriend finally stopped, pulling him into a hug. Oliver gently kissed his cheek and Logan couldn't help but smile, his face flushed.

"You're so mean." The redhead said quietly and Oliver only hummed, moving down to kiss his collarbone.

"But you love me."

"Maybe."

"Maybe?" Oliver raised an eyebrow, poking Logan's side once more and the boy jumped.

"Okay! Okay! I love you." He giggled, quickly grabbing Oliver's hand as if he were possibly strong enough to stop him if his boyfriend decided to launch another sudden attack and Oliver chuckled.

"I know." Oliver said with a cheeky grin and Logan rolled his eyes with a smile. "How would you feel about having breakfast, just a little bit." Oliver said and Logan bit his lip, knowing Oliver wouldn't make him eat until later that night.

"Could I just have a little bit of whatever you have?" He asked and Oliver nodded.

"Yeah, I'll probably have eggs and toast if you're okay with that."

"Could you maybe make some of the eggs without seasoning?" Logan asked and Oliver smiled softly, nodding.

"Come on, let's find some clothes for you." Oliver said and slowly got out of the bathtub. "Do you want me to carry you?" He asked and Logan thought for a moment before shaking his head a little.

"I'll be okay to walk." He said, draining the bathtub and getting out, grabbing a towel to dry off.

Logan was pulling on a pair of underwear and Oliver was tugging a shirt on when Logan bit his lip. "Hey Oli?"

"Hm?" Oliver looked up as he pulled a pair of ripped jeans on.

"Could I maybe borrow one of your shirts?" He asked and Oliver smiled a bit.

"Only if you don't wear pants." Oliver said and Logan actually seemed to consider it.

"Okay, deal." He said and Oliver laughed, tossing a shirt over to him and he tugged it on, it fit like a dress.

"You know I'd have let you wear it anyway." Oliver said as they were walking down and Logan nodded with a small smile.

"I know." He said and walked into the kitchen with Oliver. "I might make some coffee." He said and Oliver nodded.

"Could you pour me a cup too?" He asked and Logan nodded, pouring coffee grains into the filter, then water into the top before he started it.

"Sure." Logan said.

They spent their morning much the same, making breakfast and eating together, Logan having a small plate of unseasoned eggs and Oliver having a piece of toast and two eggs. They watched a show and drank coffee. It was snowing outside and below freezing so they just decided to stay in after all, they were perfectly content to lay around and hang out on the couch, cuddled up together.

Logan was laying in Oliver's arms not really paying attention to whatever show they were supposed to be watching, he was pretty sure it was cupcake wars or sugar rush or something like that. Oliver was asleep anyway so he reached over and picked up the remote, pausing it and curling up against him for a moment, closing his eyes as well. It felt good to not have anything to do.

He jumped slightly when he felt his cat jump up, looking over to see her, petting her gently as Oliver was also slowly waking up.

"Hey, how was your nap?" Logan asked, sitting up a bit and Oliver ran his fingers through his hair.

"Shit, sorry, did I fall asleep? I didn't mean to."

"It's okay, I didn't say you had to stay awake or anything." Logan said and Oliver smiled, reaching over to pet the ball of white fur.

"We should do something today." Oliver said.

"It might be too cold out."

"We could stay inside. I'm just saying we probably shouldn't lay around all day."

"We could play video games or..we have some board games, or we could make a pillow fort, or.." Logan was still busy thinking of activities when Oliver quietly picked up a pillow off the couch and smacked Logan with it and the boy looked at him in confusion until he saw Oliver's grin and picked up his own pillow, hitting his boyfriend with it, giggling.

"Come on, we can play hide and seek or something." Logan said and Oliver laughed softly, nodding.

"Alright, well it's your house so you go hide, I'll come find you in a minute." Oliver said, leaning his head back against the couch, closing his eyes. "That's 60 seconds starting now." He said and Logan quickly hopped up, gently pecking Oliver on the lips before he ran off to find somewhere to hide. He caught Oliver's little grin before he left.

He searched around for a place to hide, quickly but quietly jogging through the kitchen and looking around as he could hear Oliver counting in the other room, now down to 40. Under the bed is too obvious, he'd find me in the closet, under the table, behind the couch, maybe upstairs? No, he'd hear. He looked to the kitchen cabinets under the counter and checked to see if there were any empty ones, finding one and managing to just squeeze inside before he shut the door.

Oliver reached zero soon after and Logan heard him get up off the couch, walking around and most likely looking in all the obvious spots first. He heard him walk into the kitchen, heavy footsteps across the floor, stopping in front of Logan's hiding spot for a second and that's when he realized his heart was beating out of his chest and his hands were shaking, he couldn't get that sound out of his head, it sounded too familiar.

Heavy boots across wooden floor, every step a bit louder, closer, too close. A sudden bang against his rickety closet door and the boy inside flinched.

"Boy, what the fuck are you doing in the closet?"

He played with his sweater sleeve, worn in the spot that he always pulled at it.

"Logan, Answer me!"

"N-Nothing, Dad." He said quietly, then trying to stop himself from crying as he heard a glass bottle crash to the floor.

"Well get out then, you've got a mess to clean up." His dad muttered. "Fucking useless kid."

"O-Oli?" Logan whimpered quietly, tugging at the fabric of the shirt he was wearing. It was barely another second before the cabinet was opening and a concerned Oliver was there.

"Hey, Bear, are you okay? What happened?" He asked, helping Logan out of the cabinet and the boy swallowed thickly, kind of shrugging as he was still hyperventilating a bit.

"I-I don't...don't r-really know." He said softly. "I'm sorry, I didn't..I didn't mean to.." He started, trying to figure out how to form an apology for basically wrecking their game and Oliver shook his head, kissing Logan's nose.

"You did nothing wrong, I'm sorry if I did something that upset you." Oliver said softly.

"No, it really wasn't you, I just..I guess a small confined space wasn't exactly a good idea." Logan said, giving a dry laugh.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Oliver asked and Logan shrugged.

"It was just..I don't know what happened, I was just kinda..back there, and my dad was yelling at me and he was mad, he was always mad at me, I don't know what I did." Logan said, a tear slipping out of his eye and Oliver gently pulled him into his arms.

"You didn't do anything, Logan, you were just a kid."

"Can we talk about this later?" Logan asked softly and Oliver nodded.

"Yeah. Hey, how about we go find your old bear onsie, I bet it'd still fit." Oliver said and Logan giggled softly, sniffling.

"Okay." He said with a little nod.

---

"You have to promise not to laugh." Logan said, pulling up the front zipper of the the onesie. It was light brown and had bear ears attatched to the hood.

"I promise. Now come on." Oliver said and Logan peaked his head out his closet door before walking out to show himself wearing the costume. "Awww."

Logan blushed, pulling the hood up in an attempt to hide his embarassment. "Don't aw me."

"But you're so cute, you're like a little teddy bear." Oliver said, walking closer to him and gently playing with the ears of the hood.

"I am not cute, I'm a bear, I'm big and scary and-" He pouted slightly, realizing that Oliver wasn't taking it the least bit seriously.

"Can I take you to bed with me at night?" Oliver asked and Logan giggled softly, rolling his eyes. "I love you, bear."

"I love you too."

"I wonder if we could still find Winnie the Pooh episodes, you'd definitely fit the theme." Oliver said and Logan covered his face so he gently took his hands away, kissing his cheek."I'm just teasing, baby."

"I know." Logan mumbled with a little smile.

"Ooh wait, is this the closet where you keep all your stuffed animals?" Oliver asked.

"It might be." Logan said, playing with his sleeve. "I was never able to get rid of them." He said as Oliver opened the door, looking at the twenty or so stuffed animals there. It was funny to think Logan used to keep all of them on his bed.

"I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping them." Oliver said.

"Sometimes I still pull them out when I have nightmares." Logan admitted sheepishly and Oliver glanced at him.

"Do you still get bad ones?" Oliver asked and Logan shrugged.

"They're not as bad, I don't get night terrors anymore."

"You know you could call me, like any time." Oliver said and Logan thought for a minute before shaking his head.

"I wouldn't do that to you."

"But if you need me-"

"I don't." Logan said and Oliver quieted. He hadn't meant it like that, but maybe he didn't anyway. He's a liability, he'll drag you down, you need to get away from him. But I love him. And where has that gotten you? You're still not happy, he fixed nothing, he's going to get you sent away. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" Logan started and Oliver shook his head.

"Don't apologize. You don't have to need me, I'm just here if you do." Oliver said softly. "How about we go make tea?" He suggested and Logan nodded.

Oliver headed downstairs and Logan stood there for a moment. He loved Oliver, probably more than he'd loved anyone like that, but he had a habit of pushing good things away, he wouldn't ruin the last beautiful thing in his life again.
