《My Best friend's Sister (GxG)》All secrets must come to light

"How was your shower" Journee questions as I walk into the kitchen, and I shrug slightly as I go to grab a water.
It's been a little over a week since I spoke to Kelsey and she surprisingly hasn't looked my way, nor mentioned Jordy.
That's wise of her because I meant what I said.
Jordy and I have been struggling recently.
I've isolated myself completely, and I can't quite figure out why?
Maybe I'm self-sabotaging.
The days and nights have basically been filled with silence, but mostly on my part.
Jordy has tried to figure out what's wrong, but even I don't know.
What is wrong?
And why do I feel empty?
What's scary is, I don't know If we'll ever get past this.
"What are the plans for tonight?" Eva questions as she sits at the table with Luca and Sebastian.
Of course, Jordy is still in the room sleeping even though she's been asleep basically all day.
The doorbell suddenly rings causing us all to look toward the door in confusion.
Journee walks toward the door before opening it.
There stand her parents and my mom.
"Surprise!" they yell out and I feel my eyes widen slightly.
They enter the spacious condo as they hold bags of food in their hand.
"We figured we'd fly down for dinner and catch a red-eye after," Journee's mom fills us in as she sets the food on the table.
"Bri!" my mom greets me with excitement before pulling me into a warm hug.
"Mom," I say in a fake excited tone that I hope is believable.
Don't mention Jordy. Don't mention Jordy. Don't mention Jordy.
She pulls out of the hug with an exciting look placed on her face.
"How's Miami been so far?" she questions with a smile and I immediately pull a fake smile on.
"So fun!" I say as I keep the tight smile placed on my face.
"That's good," she says as we walk into the kitchen with everyone else.
"What's for dinner?" I ask as she helps Journee's mom unpack the food.
"Chinese," my mom answers as we transfer the food over to the table.
We end up eating dinner rather quickly as a loud chatter echoes throughout the condo.
I could barely stomach any of the warm food but tried to for the sake of my mom being here.
"So what have you guys done since you've been here?" Journee's dad questions as he wipes his mouth.
"Beach, pool, party, repeat," Journee sums up our trip in four words causing everyone to burst into a light laugh.
"That definitely sums it up," Luca says as he gulps down his water.
"Bri I didn't know your girlfriend was coming," my mom says and my heart drops as I look to see a sleepy Jordy entering the room.

Everyone's eyes lock on her as an awkward silence fills the condo.
I feel my heart thump hard in my chest as I freeze in my spot.
"Bri what's she talking about?" Journee asks from beside me and I slowly turn to her.
"That's my sister, not her girlfriend," she adds as denial laces in her voice, and my mom's brown eyes go wide.
"I-uh," I go to speak as I look at Jordy who is now walking further into the room.
"This is a misunderstanding," Jordy says as she makes her way over to the table.
"Okay explain," Journee says and silence falls over the room once more.
A long fucking silence.
Long enough that-
Journee harshly stands from the table.
"So it's not a misunderstanding then?" Journee asks as her light eyes look between us, and I feel tears tug at my dark eyes.
"You're dating my sister Bri?" Journee asks as her eyes lock on me.
"I wouldn't say dating but yeah?" I whisper honestly as tears roll down my hot cheeks.
She scoffs slightly, "Wow," she says as she exits the room and I look to Jordy who has a soft look on her face.
"Brielle-"
"I can't do this right now," I interrupt Jordy in a whisper as I rise from the long table.
Fuck.
I probably just lost two of the most meaningful people in my life right now.
I anticipated this.
Maybe that's why I've been so distant from Jordy recently.
Fear of losing her.
I exit the condo as I hear loud footsteps running after me, and I feel more tears stream down my face.
"Brielle," Jordy's voice says from behind me and I turn to her as I meet her light eyes.
"Leave me alone," I bite out even though that's the opposite of what I want.
I want her to tell me everything's going to be alright as she wraps her warm arms around me.
Why do I have to self-sabotage?
Everything was so great and now...
Well now, it all hurts.
Hurts to look at her, and see the disappointment in her eyes.
Her eyebrows crinkle slightly, "Let's talk," she suggests and I shake my head.
"I genuinely don't want to talk right now," I whisper harshly as I go to press the elevator button, but Jordy's hand grabs mine.
"You're not pushing me away," she mumbles and I feel more tears stream down my face.
"I don't want to be with you anymore Jordy," I yell at her as I pull my hand out of her grasp.
I'm full-on lying and I know this, but for some reason, this is what I want to do.
I want to end this even though I know I'll regret it later.
I immediately feel a harsh grip on my waist as she pulls me into her causing my eyes to meet her light ones.

"Look me in the fucking eyes and repeat what you just said," she says lowly and I feel myself open my mouth as I go to repeat myself.
Instead, sobs leave my mouth as tears fill my eyes again.
I don't want to sabtoge this.
I don't want to lose her.
But what if it's all too late?
I immediately feel Jordy pull me into a tight hug as she rubs my back softly.
"I was trying to give you space this past week," she whispers and I feel more sobs escape my lips.
"You were self-sabotaging and I knew it, but I didn't know how to help you," she admits as she holds me tighter.
"And fuck, I just can't explain how sorry I am Elle," she says again and I pull my arms around her as I hold onto her tightly.
"I could've easily helped you-"
"It's not your fault," I whisper and I feel Jordy's arms tighten around me as silence falls over us.
This was all my doing, and I refuse for her to take the blame.
After almost twenty minutes of silence, Jordy whispers, "Guess what?" and I quickly hum as a response.
I finally pull out of the tight hug, "You're not getting rid of me," she says lowly and I feel my heart lighten.
"I think I was self-sabotaging because I was scared of losing you," I admit quietly and Jordy gently grips my chin as she aligns our eyes.
"You're never going to lose me," she whispers as her hazel eyes hold mine.
"Not if I can help it," she adds and I nod slowly.
"But what about Journee?" I ask in a whisper.
"What about her?" Jordy questions in a sarcastic manner and I tilt my head.
"Baby If you think I'm giving up the girl I love over Journee being-"
"Wait." I interrupt her and her light eyes widen slightly.
"You love me?" I ask quietly and a small smile pulls at her pink lips.
"Yes I love you," she says honestly and I smile at her warm words.
"I love you too Jordyn," I say with a smile causing hers to become bigger.
"I'm so in love with you it's almost scary," she admits before pulling me towards her and attaching our warm lips together.
We pull away slightly as our eyes hold one another silently.
"I want you so bad right now," she whispers lowly and I feel my core pulse slightly.
"Mm, how bad?" I ask teasingly.
"Bad enough that if you tease me I'll have your moans echoing these halls," she says honestly and I feel my cheeks heat up.
"On that note, we should go back into the condo," I say as I pull away from her fully.
"That we should," she says as she leads me back toward the condo.
We head back into the condo and we notice everyone still sitting at the long table including Journee.
My stomach tightens in knots as I take in the scene.
"They seem to be really happy Journee," my mom says to the irritated girl as she sits with her arms crossed.
"But-"
"Journee it's your sister and best friend for god sake," Journee's mom interrupts her.
"You should want them to be happy," Journee's dad adds causing Journee to huff.
"But they lied," she says in a sad tone.
"She's my best friend and she lied to me," she adds as tears form in her eyes.
"It was only so we could feel it out," Jordy adds causing everyone's eyes to snap to us.
"In private that way if it didn't work out we wouldn't have gone through so much trouble," Jordy explains and Journee shakes her head.
"You're going to hurt her like you've done every girl Jordyn," Journee says as she wipes her tears, and her light eyes snap to mine.
"I don't want her to hurt you and then you stop being my best friend," she says honestly as tears run down her cheeks.
My eyes soften at the sad girl, "I would never stop being your best friend Jour," I say honestly and she wipes her tears slightly.
"Even if she hurts you?" Journee questions and I nod.
"Journee..." Jordy trails off gaining the brunette's attention.
"I love her," Jordy admits honestly causing Journee's mouth to part slightly.
"You love her?" Journee asks slowly and Jordy nods quickly.
"Well more in love with her than anything but-"
"No fucking way," Journee says as a smile tugs at her lips, and her light eyes look between us.
She immediately runs toward us before pulling us into a group hug.
We chuckle lightly as we hug the brunette back before pulling away.
"Lie to me again and I will kill you both. Romeo and Juliet style," she says as her dark eyes narrow at us and Jordy puts her hands up in defense as I giggle at her seriousness.
"The fact that I believe you," Jordy says honestly as we walk back into the dining room.
"So how long has this been going on for?" Journee questions curiously.
"Since things with Dakota ended," I answer honestly and Journee nods slowly.
"That's not too long..." she trails off as she ponders her mind.
"See not that bad," Jordy remarks in a light tone, and Journee's light eyes narrow at her.
"Don't push it," she says lowly and Jordy nods slowly.
Finally.
Finally, I can stop lying to my best friend.
Hi everyone,
My apologies for not updating this book sooner, I've been so focused on my newest book, Weakness that I've kind of pushed this one aside. I'm going to try and update this one more, but my main priority will still be Weakness and my newest book that I'm working on called: Finding Phoenix. Check them out if you're interested:)
Until next time,
