"My ex is a girl," I say allowing the words to topple out of my mouth without warning and her eyebrows raise.

"That's completely okay Brielle," she says calmly as her eyebrows return to their normal position. 

Here goes nothing.

"I'm gay Journee," I admit and she visibly stiffens, but quickly recovers. 

"That's okay too Bri," she nods will rubbing my leg, and a smile erupts onto my face. 

"Really? I didn't want to make you uncomfortable," I admit and Journee shakes her head with a smile. 

"I'd never be uncomfortable Bri, you're my best friend," she says as if it's the silliest reason for me not telling her. 

"Jordy could tell I was gay, and actually made me realize that I was using that reason as an excuse because I was scared to tell you," I admit to her and Journee rises before pulling me up to her level, and into a hug. 

"Bri I'll always support you, never be scared to tell me anything okay?" she asks as she embraces me, and I nod.

"Thank you for being such a good friend Journee," I say feeling sentimental and Journee pulls out of the embrace. 

"Don't thank me, I love being your friend," she says warmly as she grasps my hands and I flash her a smile. 

"I love being your best friend," I say putting emphasis on best friend and her lips pull into a smile. 

"I love you Bri," Journee says softly and my heart warms at the statement.

"I love you too," I say before pulling her back into a hug. 

"And we can talk about the ex thing when you're ready okay?" Journee clarifies as we pull out of the hug and I nod knowingly.

"Good now that all that's settled let's get changed and meet everyone downstairs," Journee says before walking over to her picked-out pj's. 

Journee changes and gives me a pair of clothes to wear which I change into as well, before leaving her room. I notice the light under Jordy's door is on and a part of me wants to thank her, but another part of me just wants to see her again.

"Actually I want to thank Jordy for motivating me to tell you" I suggest not stating the full reason to Journee and she nods with a smile before heading down the wood steps. 

"I'll meet y'all down here" she yells behind her causing me to walk to Jordy's door. 

I hesitantly reach up to the door contemplating if I should even knock. What if she doesn't want to see me? Or what if things are awkward? 

I'm left without a choice when the door swings open allowing my eyes to meet her curious brown ones. Her head tilts slightly as she freezes in her spot. I notice she's in polo sweatpants and a white tee with her hair brushed back as usual. 

"Are you going to stare or speak?" she teases as she quirks a brow and I immediately snap out of my thoughts. 

"Sorry I just wanted to say thank you," I admit quietly and she narrows her eyes. 

"For what?" she questions and I shift my weight from one leg to the other. 

"For motivating me to finally come out to Journee," I say and her face lights up. 

"Ah I'm so proud of you" she encourages me before pulling me into a quick hug, and my heart warms as we briefly embrace. 

Stop Bri. I reality check myself. 

"Wanna join us for the movie?" I offer and she nods before closing her door behind her, and we head downstairs. 

Once we make it to the living room I notice groups of people sitting on a bunch of covers with covers also covering them. 

"We decided to do a huge sleepover," Journee yells excitingly and I hear Luca yell an excited 'yeah' earning a giggle out of me. We make our way over, seeing people in their own groups and Alex waves me down.

"Wanna join me Bri?" she asks and I steal a glance of Jordy who looks tense. 

"Sure," I say nicely and she shoots me a smile.

"Let me go grab us some drinks and snacks," I declare as I pass by Jordy who narrows her eyes at me. 

I brush off her lingering stare as I grab a bunch of snacks and hand them out to everyone. I see Jordy and Maya cuddled up under blankets talking about god knows what. I mean what do they even have in common. What do Jordy and I even if have in common? 

I shake my head pushing the weird thoughts away. I get seated on top of the plush covers and pull the furry ones onto us before looking around. I see Luca and Eva sitting and laughing at the movie together, Journee and Sebastian cuddled up, and Jordy sitting beside me munching on fruit snacks. I notice Jordy and Maya are intrigued by the movie as Jordy's arm is draped around Maya's shoulder. 

Halfway through the movie, I end up laying on Alex's chest as soft snores escape her lips. Everyone is fast asleep leaving Jordy and me being the only ones awake. 

"This floor is really uncomfortable" Jordy whispers and I lean my head up before looking back towards her figure that's illuminated by the tv. She skillfully rises from her pile of covers that she shares with Alex.

"What are you doing?" I whisper yell and she puts her finger to her lips before giving me a glare. I comply and once she escapes the covers she walks over to me before bending down to my level. 

"Want to sleep in an actual bed?" she asks while raising a brow and that one action manages to send shivers down my spine. I look up at her dark eyes as they analyze my own. 

"Yeah" I whisper weakly before carefully rising up from the pile of blankets. 

We go upstairs as quietly as possible before making it to Jordy's room, and she walks towards her room. I pause my steps and she mimics my actions before turning around hesitantly to face me. 

"I uh guess ill sleep in Journee's room," I say awkwardly as I scratch the back of my neck. 

"Why couldn't you sleep with me?" She challenges and I feel my cheeks heat up, but the darkness allows my red cheeks to remain hidden. 

I stay silent trying to think of a reason, and I quickly think of the biggest one. "Because you're my best friend's sister remember?" I ask as I raise a brow at her, and she shrugs. 

"And? Doesn't necessarily mean anything would happen," she quirks a brow at me mimicking my actions, and she continues, "Unless that's what you were thinking about?" she teases me and I shake my head before passing by her, and walking towards her bedroom. 

I open the door and walk inside the darkroom as she carefully closes the door behind us. She flicks the lights on lighting up the white room. 

Across from me, I see a bed along a plain wall, with a large tv hanging on the corner wall adjacent to it. Across from the bed, to the left is a wood desk with a Mac and a plant on top. My eyebrows rise in awe when I see a large full-body mirror that takes up nearly half of the wall, across from the bed. I notice a furry black and white area rug underneath the large bed tempting me to just lay across it. 

"Your room is really nice," I compliment her, and she gives me a puzzled look.

"Really? I feel like it's really plain," she murmurs and I shake my head disagreeing. 

"It looks really clean, but in a neat way," I explain and her hands turn me around gently to face her. My brown eyes meet her darker ones.

"Thank you" she accepts my compliment and I nod before turning around and walking to sit on the edge of the bed. 

She follows my actions and ends up standing in front of me as her chocolate eyes hover over me. I analyze her beautifully structured face getting lost in each detail, and a yawn manages to escape my lips. 

She chuckles sending chills through my body, "Elle are you tired?" her raspy voice whispers and I shake my head. 

"No" I murmur causing another chuckle to escape her lips.

"C'mon let's go to bed," she suggests and I nod, too tired to argue with her suggestion. 

I crawl up to the top of the bed before getting under the soft covers, feeling the soft sheets underneath my skin. Jordy turns off the lights before joining me in the soft sheets.

I awkwardly lay there not knowing how close she is. I feel the darkness around me grow and the urge to look at her grows causing me to turn on my side. I face her flat body and I notice her beautiful side profile; her nose is so perfect, and those lips... I quickly clamp my eyes shut at the intimate thoughts, but it only makes it harder to go to sleep. I try to ignore her intimidating presence beside me, and I feel myself drift off into a deep sleep.

I feel brightness surround me causing my mouth to let out a soft groan. My eyes flutter open as my eyes adjust to the sunlit room before blinking a few times. I feel warmth surrounding me as I lean up from the pillow, and I notice Jordy peacefully sleeping as her long dark hair fans out onto the white pillows. Her arms are secured around my waist and I feel her soft legs tangled with mine. I freeze. How did we end up like this? I look back up to her face, and her relaxed face automatically allows my body to loosen up. I take in her peacefully relaxed face as soft breaths escape her lips. I look at her soft lips that are parted slightly allowing some of her white teeth to show. 

Wait... What time is it? 

I flinch a little at my thoughts causing Jordy to stir in her sleep, her perfect brows forming into a furrow. Her eyes flutter open blinking a few times before allowing her brown orbs to land on me, and she tilts her head slightly. 

"Well good morning to you too," her raspy morning voice fills my ears and her tired eyes look from me to our connected bodies. 

She releases her hands around my waist and I feel all the warmth leave my body. She rises from the bed and grabs her phone causing her phone to illuminate the lock screen. 

I rise from the bed, "What time is it?" I ask and she looks towards me.

"7:09," she says before putting her phone back down.

"I should probably head to Journee's room," I say and she nods as she lays back on the plush bed. I stand from the bed, "See you at breakfast, I guess?" I ask confused and she gives me a lazy smile before her eyes flutter shut. 

"Yes breakfast," she hums causing me to turn around and walk towards the tall white door. 

I carefully peek out making sure I don't see anyone before briskly, but quietly walking to Journee's door and opening it.

I quietly make it into the empty room before making it over to the made bed and I pull the soft covers down sliding into them. Once I'm in the comfortable bed I realize it's not as comfortable as Jordy's, or maybe it's because Jordy isn't here providing warmth throughout my body. My heart tightens at the thought. I turn on my side allowing my eyes to flutter close, but my mind is wildly awake with thoughts of Jordy dancing in it.
