《My Best friend's Sister (GxG)》Let me start from the beginning

Journee has been there for me since I transferred to her High school. She welcomed me into her life with opening arms, and since then I never questioned whether she was my best friend. She was my other half and practically my sister, so when I start secretly fantasizing about her sister I felt like I had betrayed her. Like I was living another life without her...

It had been around two years since I transferred to Monarch High during my junior year. It was my first time moving somewhere different, and I was extremely uncomfortable. My mom assured me that I'd be okay and that sometimes new things allow us to grow. She was right because I ended up finding my lifetime best friend, and fell into a close-knitted friend group. Monarch High was the opposite of what I expected, and I quickly realized that everyone was friends around here. I enjoyed the change of pace considering my last school was a completely different dynamic.

"Bri baby" my tanned skin best friend greets me and my brown eyes automatically dart to her figure. I close my locker before flashing her a smile.

"Good morning Jour," I greet back and she pulls me into a hug.

"Someone's a little too happy for it to be a Monday," I joke, and she giggles.

"It's about to be summer break Bri. We start college soon, so many good things are happening to us-the question is why aren't you happier?" she explains and I smile coyly.

Thinking about the summer does make me happy, sunkissed skin with no school to worry about. Sounds like a dream if you ask me.

"I am really happy. I think this last exam is just weighing on my mind a little" I sigh thinking about Mr. Fergueson's purposefully hard exam. My brunette best friend shakes her head.

"We've already gotten into Duke Bri, so stop stressing," she reassures me and I playfully roll my eyes.

"Either way, I'm sure you'll perform amazing, you've always been so smart" she compliments me and I let out a deep breath.

"I got this," I say building my confidence up, and Jour nods her head quickly.

"You got this" she repeats my statement back to me.

"Just think, after this, we don't have school for another three months" she gushes and I smile thinking about how fun this summer will be.

This is our last summer until college; we have to make it unforgettable.

Before I know it I'm handing my exam to Mr. Fergueson, and he sets the thick booklet down before sending me a friendly smile.

"Have a great summer Brielle, don't lose track of your goals" he says and I nod before adjusting my bookbag.

"Thank you, Mr. Fergueson," I say as I leave the classroom of students who are still taking the exam.

"Finally you're done, how do you feel?" Journee asks and a smile spreads across my face.

"Like I'm ready for summer," I say excitingly and my best friend loops our arms.

"That's my girl," she says as we walk down the empty school halls.

"Let's go back to my place, and we can figure out some plans for tonight," Jour says while wiggling her perfect brows and I nod.

The summer heat hits our skin as we walk into the school parking lot. We walk towards our parked cars before we separate. Jour gets in her Audi before saluting me earning a smile from me.

"See you at my place" she yells.

"Don't speed too much Jour" I joke before getting into my Cadillac.

I'm met with the fruity interior, due to the air freshener hanging in my car. I've been in love with my car since my mom gifted it to me on my eighteenth birthday. I'm grateful to have gotten a new car, and I'm reminded of this every time I drive it. I glance around the half-filled parking lot taking it in one last time before driving off.

I pull into the driveway of the Victorian house. I make sure to park behind Jour's Audi before exiting my car. I'm walking to her front door when I notice a Mercedes coup parked in front of the house. I brush it off before entering the spacious house. I hear Journee talking to another person, so I automatically walk towards the voices. I enter her kitchen to see Journee sitting at the bench of her long kitchen table snacking on potato chips. Her eyes light up when she sees me, and she automatically dusts her hands off.

She walks over to me, "Bri I'd like you to meet someone," she says while finishing the few potato chips in her mouth.

I turn to see a tall brunette who has similar features to Journee. "Bri this is my older sister Jordy" she introduces us and I furrow my brows.

"I never knew you had an older sister?" I ask confused as I turn to face Journee. She shrugs before walking back to her seat at the table.

"She was already away at college when you transferred," she says casually and I tilt my head in confusion.

"She did summer classes which explains why you guys never met" she explains and I nod slowly.

"Right," I say before turning back to the brunette who's already staring at me intently. I walk over towards her and she continues making her sandwich.

"Sorry, weird introduction. I'm Brielle, but you can call me Bri" I reintroduce myself before tucking a piece of my curly hair behind my ear.

"I'm Jordyn, but everyone calls me Jordy," her smooth voice says catching me a little off guard. "I hear you're joining Duke?" she asks nonchalantly before putting her sandwich together.

"Yeah, you go there?" I ask and she nods before turning to me, allowing me to get a full look at her.

Her sharp features are clear as some freckles are spread across her nose and cheeks. Her nose is small but prominent, and her eyebrows are almost identical to Journee's. Her wavy hair is unparted and tucked behind her ears, and I notice she's in a Duke t-shirt and basketball shorts. I meet her hazel eyes before realizing she has a brow raised. I clear my throat realizing I just openly checked her out.

Her plump lips upturn slightly before turning back to her sandwich. "Did my shirt not give it away?" she jokes. Yeah, she definitely noticed me checking her out.

"Hm?" I question innocently but one of her eyebrows raises as she sends a piercing glare my way.

"Oh yeah, the shirt-yeah I didn't notice it until a second ago honestly" I lie as I look at her shirt before going to the fridge to grab a bottle of water.

"I could tell," she says and I pause my actions at her statement, but quickly resume as I close the large fridge.

I grab a cold water bottle before unscrewing it and gulping the cold liquid down.

I walk back over to Journee who's nearly finished her bowl of chips. She holds her phone in one hand while eating with the other. Her dark eyes meet mine when I sit next to her.

"There's a lake party tonight if you want to go?" She asks and I nod.

"Okay I'll tell our friends to meet us," she says and her attention goes back to her phone.

I look over to Jordy who's doing the same thing as Journee, Phone in her hand while her other holds her sandwich. Her short sleeves are rolled showing some of her tattoo that's placed on her bicep, making me wonder if she has more. Her sharp features are focused on whatever is being displayed on her phone. I can't tell if she's into girls for sure. She has this tomboy style, so I assume she is, but I'm still not entirely sure.

I've always been into girls, yet I've told no one except my mom. Journee has no idea and has been trying to hook me up with people for as long as I can remember. I hate keeping it from her, but I just don't want to make things weird, if that makes sense? Jordy's hazel eyes meet mine, and I quickly look back to Journee who's still focused on her phone. I cautiously look back to Jordy in hopes that she's back on her phone and hopefully didn't catch me staring.

Instead, her hazel eyes are still on me intently as an intimidating look is set upon her face.
