《A Rekindled Love (A Steve Harrington and Eddie Munson Love Story)》The Rogue's Script

Eddie's hand had left his lap minutes ago, leaving Steve feeling bare. The awkwardness in the car was to thick for Eddie's liking and he felt like he could sink into the seat at any second. They were almost there and Robin had tried to start a conversation with Vickie as soon as she got in the car, almost outing herself the same second. Steve coughed as loudly as he could to stop her and Eddie let out a strangled laugh. Vickie tried easing the other girls anxiety by pointing out how odd the the pair of boys hanging out was, Robin laughing in reply and agreeing with her.
They pulled into the drive-in and Eddie sat up in his seat, "oh thank GOD!" Laughs rang out through the car and Steve smacked him, but gave him a sweet smile. The three pulled into a spot and got out of the car putting two blankets on the ground in front of it facing the screen. Robin and Vickie sat on a blanket together, the latter trying to start a conversation and peaking her attention immediately. "Do you wanna go grab snacks?" The voice came from the man standing next to him, his hand twitching from being so close. Steve laughed at him and hit their shoulders together, "you gonna be okay Munson?"
"Don't push me Harrington. I've kept my hands to myself. Now answer the damn question." He laughed again, this time at the slight pain in the man's voice, and started walking towards the concessions. Eddie told the girls that they'd be right back and jogged to catch up with the other man. "It's been less than an hour Eddie, I promise you're fine." Their hands touched as they were walking and Eddie took a deep breath, as if he'd just been burned. "That doesn't mean I have to like it."

They got to the concessions and stood in line, the girl working them already fixed her eyes down the line on Steve. Eddie groaned and rolled his eyes, looking anywhere but at the woman or his boyfriend. "Hi there! What can I get for ya?" The girl had a lot of enthusiasm and Steve actually found it quite funny, giving her a star-striking smile in return. "Lets see, I'll have two large popcorns, a mountain dew and three cokes, and-" He turned to Eddie, "do you want any candy?" Two eyes raked his body and then turned to look at the selection. "Yeah, two Airheads and a box of M&Ms." She smiled at Eddie and went to grab the stuff they asked for, Steve turning back to him. "Knock it off." He rolled his eyes, "I don't know what you're talking about."
"She's just being nice Eddie, she smiled at you too." Eddie raised an eyebrow at him, "sweetheart, I'm fine, really. It's just a lot of people." Steve eyebrows flew up and his face started burning up, he turned back around just as the girl was bringing the rest of their stuff. The two of them grabbed it and walked back to Steve's car. "If it's stressing you out, I'm sorry. I guess I should've made sure you were more comfortable with the situation before pressing you to come." He had a guilty look his face as he stared at the ground. The two of them passed the girls their snacks for the night and sat on their blanket. "Love, it's fine I promise. You said it yourself. I hang out with people maybe once a week that's not you and I just don't get out a lot- this'll be good for me. So stop with all the pouting." He bumped his shoulder with Steve's, making a smile grow on the man's face.

Steve looked over at the two girls and a loving smile painted his face as he saw how happy Robin was. She was having a conversation, while overly enthused, but it was a normal conversation. She had the biggest smile on her face and Vickie seemed to be quite happy too. "Harrington?"
Steve's head whipped around to see Jason Carver walking in his direction. He got up and shook the boy's hand, chest bumping him. "Hey man what are you doing here?" Jason nodded over to his girlfriend that was walking in their direction. "I'm here with my girl, you've got to meet her dude. She's amazing." The girl stopped next to him attaching herself to his hip and smiling. "Steve this is Chrissy, Chrissy this is Steve. We used to play basketball together, till he graduated like an idiot." Chrissy smiled at him, but then her attention was temporarily taken by something behind Steve, who she also gave a small wave too. "Harrington? Are you here with the freak?"
Chrissy's smile immediately went away and Steve's faltered. He hated that name, he only ever said it as a joke. But he knew Jason wasn't joking. You're just protecting yourself, and him.
Steve chuckled, "nah man you know how it is. He's a family friend and my mom made me come out with him because she felt bad. I mean, the dude literally hangs out with no one." Steve wanted to throw up. Talking about his boyfriend that way absolutely pained him and he felt every word burn him. "That's gotta be hell dude I'm sorry. We're gonna get goin though. Have fun man." He could basically see the sarcasm dripping off Jason's tongue at the last sentence, but he was just glad it was over.
Steve turned around and saw that Eddie was staring up at him, no emotion visible. He sat down next to him without saying anything and turned towards him. "Don't say anything Harrington. I don't like how it went down. But you could've said something a lot worse. This is me trying to be mature and handle my emotions. So please, don't push me."
Steve closed his mouth and turned back towards the screen. He laid his hand on Eddie's thigh for a short few seconds and looked at him. "I love you." Eddie let out a big breath of air and his body relaxed a bit, Steve's touch seeming to help with his emotions. "I love you too Harrington. I wouldn't be here if I didn't."
