Robin offered to drive home but Steve immediately shot down the offer and told her he could manage. They drove in silence, but the man's body would twitch every now and then, coming back from the high of his breakdown. "Are you sure you're okay driving? I'm kind of getting flashbacks from this morning." Steve laughed lightly, "I'm fine Rob, really."

But he wasn't. He felt drained throughout his entire body and like someone had sucked the soul out of him. He felt empty. But he also felt like he was being dramatic, so he pushed back everything he was feeling and got through the drive home.

The two were laying in Steve's bed and neither had said anything since they had arrived. "So-" Robin started. "Robin I don't know what I'm doing! I mean, it's been what? Three days, since we started talking again? I'm acting like we just broke up after being together for years. And we weren't even together! I feel like shit about it Rob. Like I shouldn't feel this bad about everything, like it was just a fling and this was bound to happen eventually. But why do I feel like someone beat me up and then let me sleep for two days, and then beat me up again?"

"Okay, that's- a lot. Listen Stevie you just- you never let yourself think through what was actually happening. I mean, you were with this dude for a whole year, I'm guessing without labels. And now you guys are suddenly at it again, no thought or boundaries put into it. And you like him Steve! You do, no matter how many times you tell yourself you don't. I promise, you have feelings for him. I'm not saying you two are in love, but you think and talk about him constantly, you want to be with him all the time, and you're so happy when he's around. Just think about your change of attitude the last few days!"

She was right, he knew it. He's been so happy the last few days. Confused, yes. But still happy. "It doesn't change what he did though Robin. I mean, he acted like it was no big deal ending it between us! He just said he was done and I-" Steve's breath cracked as tears started to build up in his eyes again. "Oh like you wouldn't do the same thing. Come on Harrington, "Oh I'm gonna tell Eddie that he's not worth being with because his feelings hurt and that hurts my feelings." I mean really come on. You both did the same thing, just with different words. You're both hurt right now, and you're both guys so you didn't take the time to actually, I don't know, talk through it."

Steve turned on his side to look at her, "do you really think so?"

Robin turned on her side to meet his eyes, "yes, I do."

"Then what do I do Robin? I mean he pissed me off! But I really do like him, like, a lot. And I love being around him. I love the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles at me and the way he smells. How his arm wraps around me automatically when we're alone. The way he always seems to find me in a room. He drives me crazy Robin."

Robin went silent, her mouth slightly open making an 'o' shape. "Well, uhm. I'll let you kinda work through all of that on your own. But I think you should probably fix now's problem, before moving on to later's." The confusing sentence forced Steve to think about what the hell Robin just said. "What?"

"Oh my god Steve. Would you please just go talk to him?"

"What would I even say? Hey you remember earlier when I told you it wasn't worth being with you because I thought you didn't care about me? Yeah, can we talk about that?"

Robin laughed, "well, I wouldn't be that forward. But if you want to, go right ahead."

Steve laughed with her, "I'm having deja vu. Just give me a few seconds and I'll say something stupid and he'll walk through the door. Oh! Speaking of!" The two of them sat up and turned to each other, serious looks on their faces. "I never got to tell you about last night. So, when I got there..."

"I couldn't do it Robin! I don't know what was wrong with me, every time we even got close to the idea of sex, I froze up! That's not like me, you know that's not like me." Robin nodded her head continually, like a doctor listening to the symptoms of their patient. "Yeah you're right, that's nothing like you. Usually that's all you want." Steve smacked her arm, "you know that's not true!" She rolled her eyes, "anyways- are you sure you're even ready to have sex? Or want to?"

"Uhm yeah, obviously, have you seen that man? He's like sex walking. He's literally the hottest person I've ever seen. I literally dream about it. It's just different than it used to be, he's different. So of course I want him, I just don't know who he is."

Steve got the weird sense of deja vu again as he felt a shiver run down his back and a silent Robin. "Rob? Are we finished with the conversation or w-. He's standing right behind me isn't he?" Steve turned around to see a tall, curly haired man standing at his door frame, a weak smile painted on his face.

"Hey Harrington."
