Steve was comfortable, he felt safe. Other than the man with razors for fingers and a face filled with scars on the small tv. It wasn't that he found it scary, just freaky. The kids were passed out on the floor and Robin and Nancy decided they were to mature for this type of movie and left the house to find something more up to their standards.

Women.

Steve was still laid back against Eddie, but after the girls left the two boys situated themselves to get more comfortable. Eddie had his leg laying down the couch and Steve was laying next to it, his back to Eddie's chest and his head resting on the other man's shoulder. Every now and then Steve would jump or groan in disgust and Eddie would just sit there and laugh at him, earning an eye roll from Steve.

Steve sat up closer to Eddie, planning his escape just in case it became necessary at any point during the night. He tried wiggling back to get more comfortable, but was instead met with two hands grabbing his waist and halting his movements. "Hey knock it off Munson, I'm trying to get comfortable." Eddie let out a breathy chuckle, a sound Steve found to be excruciatingly sexy. "Well Harrington, if you keep rubbing up against my dick, neither of us are going to be very comfortable in a minute."

Steve's breath hitched in his throat, he didn't even realize. That's not what he was trying accomplish. He managed to squeak out an 'I'm sorry' and tried to give Eddie some space. The man still had his hands on Steve's hips and wasn't budging. "Where are you going?" A look of confusion covered Eddie's face. Steve had to turn his head basically all the way around to see Eddie, "well I was trying to give you some breathing room, but someone won't let go." The grip on his hips tightened before he let go. Steve felt his stomach slightly drop at the loss of contact, like he made Eddie mad.

"Sorry." Eddie gave him a curt smile and turned back to the movie. I need a drink, Steve thought. He got up off the couch and tiptoed his way up the stairs quietly, not to disturb the children. He leaned his elbows on the kitchen counter and rubbed his hands over his face, letting out a loud sigh. He saw another figure walking up the stairs and noticed the long hair swaying as he came up. "What are you doing up here Munson? Why aren't you watching the movie?" Eddie rolled his eyes at the man, "you didn't say anything before you left so I wanted to make sure you were alright."

Steve's heart warmed at this, a smile trying to creep on to his face. He opened the fridge searching for a water, but really to avoid eye contact with Eddie. "Sorry Munson, I didn't know I needed to inform you every time I wanted to go somewhere, I'll keep that in mind for next time." Steve closed the fridge and walked in the direction of the basement, a hand wrapping itself around his wrist. He turned to the curly haired boy, waiting for him to say something. "You look good by the way. Really good." Steve's cheeks heated up at his words and he looked down at the ground, "geez Munson are we gonna finish the movie or not?"

Eddie let out a sigh and let go of Steve's wrist, a small sign of surrender. Making Steve feel like maybe he let him down. But he doesn't even know what Eddie wants, or if even wants anything at all. Steve stepped an inch closer to the other man and grabbed the side of his shirt, tugging. "Come on, lets go finish the movie." Eddie complied and followed him down the stairs, watching Steve's hair flop around as he moved.

When they got back down Eddie sat back where he was, but with both feet on the ground and in a normal sit position. The obvious problem being, no room for Steve to be next to him. Eddie looked up and a smirk grew on his face, "is there a problem Harrington?" Steve rolled his eyes once again at his tone of voice and grabbed the blanket closest to Eddie, yanking it out from under him. He wrapped himself up and sat on the other corner of the couch.

He could feel Eddie's eyes on him, but if the freak wanted to play a game, Steve was going to win. Steve raised his arms and stretched, a patch of his stomach showing. He heard a grumble from the other side of the couch but ignored it like he had everything else that happened tonight. He tried to concentrate on the movie and practically jumped out of his seat when Freddy grabbed the woman through her door. Steve pulled his blanket tighter around him and sunk himself lower in the couch. Not because he was scared of course, he was just trying to get more comfortable.

He felt the cushion next to him dip and looked up to a smiling eddie. Even though he was smiling, his face had a tint of worry on it and it gave Steve butterflies. "Are you okay love?" Eddie's eyes were roaming all over Steve's face, the sweet name and the roaming eyes making Steve sink further into the couch. He looked over at the screen and the final credits were rolling, "oh look at that, the movie's over!" He got up from the couch as fast as he could and moved quietly around the kids, removing the vhs and turning the tv off. Eddie's eyes were on him and Steve tried to break the tension. "Will you put Erica on the couch and I'll put Max up there."

Eddie nodded and got up quietly, grabbing Erica softly and lifting her up. He went to grab the blankets but Steve walked over to him and grabbed them from his hands. "You know, since you seemed to have such an easy time with that, maybe you can put Max up there too." Eddie rolled his eyes, but Steve just gave him a big smile. "Take it as a compliment Munson, it's not everyday I let someone show me up with their muscles." Steve pat his shoulder and grabbed all the blankets not covering the boys to tuck the girls in, making sure they were alright for the night.

The two men walked up the stairs and stood quietly in the kitchen for a few minutes. The darkness and silence of the house was freaking him out slightly, so he tightened the blanket around him that he brought up. He heard Eddie chuckle and turned his head in annoyance while rolling his eyes. "Something funny?" He raised his eyebrow and Eddie just looked him up and down, not taking him seriously. "Just how scared you are, that movie wasn't even scary." And you'd think after all Steve's gone through in the past couple of years, he wouldn't be so freaked out. "I'm not scared Munson, I'm just cold." A lie, of course. Steve's sure that he could never be cold around Eddie, the way he stares at him keeps him warm. Other than the occasional shiver running down his back.

Eddie lifted up a piece of his hair to his mouth and smiled under it. But now it was starting to get late and Steve's exhaustion had finally caught back up with him. "So what, are you sleeping here or are you going home?" Steve really didn't want him to go home and the thought of him being here in the morning made a smile slowly make its way onto his face. "Why Harrington? You scared the boogieman's going to get you while you're up here all alone?"

The smile quickly left Steve's face and he could feel the irritation start bubble up. "You know what? Fine! Drive home in the dark at god knows what time! Sorry for trying to be nice for once, don't worry, I won't do it again!" Steve started to clean up the mess that was left on the counter, waiting for the other man to leave. "Harrington." He ignored him, god knows what he has left to say tonight. "Steve." His voice was more stern than it used to be, it made Steve's stomach flip but he ignored it.

He heard Eddie sigh and footsteps walking towards him. Two hands were placed on Steve's cheeks and coaxed the man to turn around and look at Eddie. "Look I'm sorry. Maybe I'm more tired than I think. I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings." Steve could feel his hands shaking and tried to ignore it, failing as he did so. "Yeah n-no, it's fine, I'm tired too, I get it." Eddie smiled, his eyes falling to Steve's lips, making his stomach do crazy things. But Eddie just squeezed his eyes shut and dropped his hands, running one of them through his hair. Steve let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and put one of his hands over his mouth.

Eddies voice was shaking, "well I'm gonna get goin, see you later Harrington." Steve's face contorted up into confusion as Eddie turned to walk away. "Didn't you just say you were tired? You can sleep in the guest room if you want man, I don't care." Eddie stopped and turned back around. "I don't think that's a good idea Harrington." Steve challenged him and took a step towards the other man. "Why?" Eddie's eyes raked down Steve's body, his eyes moving towards his exposed collarbone. "Because I'm not going to be able to sleep knowing that you're just down the hallway." Steve's stomach flipped and he took another step towards Eddie, "why?" Eddie groaned and looked at the ceiling, "you know why Steve." A smile took over Steve's face and he took one last step towards the man. "Would it help if we were in the same bed?"

Eddie's eyes flew back down to meet Steve's, not believing the words that just left his mouth. Steve was starting to regret them, he has no idea what came over him. What if he just made Eddie uncomfortable? Oh god Steve thought, mentally groaning at his stupid, tired brain. "That would help a lot of things sweetheart, but then neither of us would sleep."

Steve's eyes shot open, almost coughing on the air he was trying to breath. So obviously he hadn't made him that uncomfortable. He took a breath, gladly not choking on it that time. "Well you're not leaving, Henderson would kill me if you crashed and died or something. So what's it going to be Munson? Guest bed or mine?" It was Eddie's turn to step towards Steve, who also took a small step back. Eddie smirked at him, "do you really want me in your bed that bad Harrington?" Fuck me, Steve thought, if Eddie kept talking like that, he wouldn't care whether they were in the bed or not. "I'm just extending an invitation to you to be nice Munson, it's not like I actually want you here."

Eddie laughed at him when he said that, Steve's stomach doing flips, again. "Really Steve, you don't want me here?" He took another step towards Steve, the latter taking another step back. "Nope, just trying to be nice." Eddie was nodding his head in a fake understanding, and took another step towards Steve. Steve tried to take another step back, but his back hit the counter and he cursed mentally. Eddie leaned towards Steve and laid his hand on his cheek, looking down at his lips. "So you don't want me here, at all?" Steve's eyes met with Eddies, almost gasping from how dark they were with lust. Eddie leaned in and kissed Steve gently on the cheek, "tell me Harrington, because I'll leave if you really want me to." He laid another kiss on the opposite cheek, earning a quiet whine from Steve. He kissed him on the forehead and the nose waiting for an answer. "Please." It was quiet, but Eddie could hear the breathless whisper leave the boy's lips. Steve's eyes opened back up to look at Eddie, "Please stay."
