Loki grips in the steering wheel.

Del didn't say a word.

"Endure it." Kristoff said looking straight ahead.

Loki nods but his face is sour from anger and disgust.

Not only for others but for himself.

So many people in the road are still confused and trying yo find refugee.

They met alot of people trying to swindler or befriend them just so they can rely on them.

If it's just Loki and Del, they will already helped others.

But with Kristoff they didn't have the nerve to stop to help.

'Help them one time and it'll be a lifetime burden. If you are willing to take the risk then go ahead.'

This is not a safe world now.

This is apocalypse.

Mother or Father throwing their children to stall time so they could run away.

This is something normal in apocalypse.

Even so, it will still chill one's heart.

Loki step hard on the gas pedal and hit the zombie that will bite on the small boy.

Loki guiltily looks back.

"I'm sorry. I just....thought we could save him....."

Del rubs his head.

Kristoff nods.

"It doesn't matter. Like I said, just be prepared to take a lifetime burden. I didn't say never to step up."

Loki eyes dilated and then he smiles.

"Thank you Kei."

Del hurriedly run out the car and grabs the dirty boy.

Then like a real superhero he is back in the car less than a minute and the car drove away like it is a rehearsed action.

The boy covered in mud and other black stain is only 6 years old.

Chubby white cheek but sunken buggy eyed.

It looks like his experience is really terrible.

They saw him getting pushed out of the car and the car drove away.

They don't need to ask what happened.

It doesn't matter anyways.

It's either bad or less bad, still it is bad.

The boy also didn't intend to explain.

He quitely stay in Del's lap saying nothing but trembling as he clenched his fist.

"We will restocked here." Kristoff said when he saw a small grocery store.

"Kristoff, this is a small retail store. You think it still have some food left inside to plundger?" Loki asks.

"It's not worthy to risk your life with." Del added.

"That is why it still has food inside. Cause nobody will risk their life in a small retail store that could be empty."

Kristoff remembers what Aries said in his past life.

Aries targeted small retail shops unlike the others who target convenience store and malls. But they always get spoils. More than those who risk 10 more times the danger over malls.

Because nobody will take such risk and end up without anything so they choose to raid biggee game than no game.

"Make sense." Del nods.

The boy looks around.

"I...I can show you the way."

Del looks down.

"What do you mean?"

The boy grits his teeth and raised one his hand.

"[Item: Food]"

A small map appears in his hand.

"Ability!" Loki said in shock.

"You have an ability but they still throw you out?" Kristoff blinks in confusion.

"......it is not that useful." The boy shyly said.

Del took the map and understand what the boy means.

The map is an actual map of the whole country.

And there are red dots all over it.

"It's not that useful since it is a country level size and the dots will not pinpoint the location of the item I am searching." The boy said.

"You are a smart boy, already can speak hard words."

Loki smiles and rubs his head.

"He is just parroting the words those adults told him." Kristoff said.

The boy bites his lower lip.

Even in this place, he is deemed useless.

"But to be honest this is very useful ability especially in apocalypse." Del said.

Kristoff nods

"True. What if you search for......wait...can you search for a person?!" Loki eyes widen.

The boy flinched.

Everyone is staring at him.

The boy cowers.

"I...I haven't tried yet..." the boy bites his lower lip again.

"Don't feel anxious. We just got excited." Del said, rubbing the boy's head.

"Name?" Kristoff asks.

"First, ask his name. How can we forget that and let Kristoff reminds us?" Loki sighs.

"Hi. I am Loki. The God of happiness. That beefy handsome guy is Del and the weird guy at the back is Kristoff. What's your name?"

"....." innthe boy's honest opinion, all of them are weird.

"Keith."

"We will start searching here. This is the nearest city to C City." Andro said.

He clenched his fist and looks ahead.

"No matter what happen, bring me my wife."

He knows that Kristoff will go back to City C for his family and for him but he will not be able to sleep or eat if he won't look for Kristoff. The worry building inside of his heart is enough to make him wish to live.

Live another day so you will have another 24 hours more to search for Kristoff.

This is the only way to make him wish to live.

"I can't search human." The boy said sadly as he lower his head.

Because the three people are so eager to try his ability in searching their family member they stop in an abandoned apartment complex and stay for the night.

Yet the boy failed to search and he feel sorry and distress when everyone became gloomy.

"What are you thinking?" Kristoff sits near the quiet boy.

As usual Loki and Del are very lovey dovey.

"I...I'm sorry. Please do not send me away." The boy asks softly.

Wiping his tears.

"It's not like we know you have an ability when Loki decided to hekp you so rest assured as long as you don't betray us, we will be responsible for helping you."

The boy suddenly cried.

But his muffled crying is more distressful than any wails and screams Del and Loki experienced so far.

Kristoff didn't comfort him.

This is apocalypse.

Even ability is not as scarce as pure Kindness.

"And besides, I know that ability has an evolved state thanks to my own ability. So if you find a key way to level up your ability and able to locate people isn't it nice?"

The boy just stare at Kristoff.

He knows that he is cheering him up so he smiles.

"Thank you."

Kristoff nods.

"Is it your mother who pushed you out of the car?"

Keith flinched.

"......no."

"No?"

"No. He is not my mother." The boy smiles.

"No mother will do such thing."

Kristoff blinks.

He knows that the boy decided not to recognized this person anymore.

"Kill zombies. Not your feelings." Kristoff said and stands up leaving the startled boy.

Slowly, his tears fell one after another.
