Alexa's P.O.V
Today had been a weird day but I couldn't help my thoughts that instinctivly brought me back to Riley. Everything I did I wished Riley was there. I spoke to my Dad and he said Mom's getting better; she's eating now which is a relief. I took a detour I didn't have the energy to have food. "I need coffee."
I walked into the café. I enjoyed this Café, the vintage sofa's dotted around the place, the old hardwood coffee tables scattered along with the sofa's. The aroma of coffee that hits your nostrils as soon as you step through the threshold. I ordered my Americano, then stood at the bar waiting for it. I scanned my surrounding's to see the beautiful blonde sat at a table with her earphones in on her laptop looking content. She must have felt my eyes on her because she looked up straight at me. She beamed. Pointing to the seat opposite her, I got my americano and I sat there.
"It's funny seeing you here." She smiled. I forgot how much I missed that smile. Even though I'd only seen it 3 hours ago.
I blushed taking a deep sip of coffee to distract me. "Yeah, I needed a coffee to keep me going whilst marking your work."
I looked at the laptop. "Working on anything important?"
She smiled. "Just finished applying for a course."
I raised my eyebrows. She reassured me; "It's for Yas, so I can officially be her primary carer and then we can get the house done up, so it'll help when she has a seizure."
She's so considerate. I can't help but admire who she is as a person, she's too good to be true. She's got to have some faults? Imperfections. We all do. I stared at her barely noticing that she took my freehand. "Alexa, why do you do that?"

I snapped out of my thoughts. Letting her touch calm me as I took in my surroundings again. "Do what?"
"You stare for a while, as if you're hypnotised." I let out a breath, and she looked at me quizzingly, it was then I realised she was serious.
"Sorry, I try to take in as much as I can. I look people in the eyes to try and take them apart, so I can read what they're feeling but it's different with you. I can't read you."
She smiled and squeezed my hand. "If you'd like to know something you can ask me."
"Okay, promise me you won't run off if I ask you a question?" I said sincerely.
She debated for a couple of seconds. "I promise."
