《The life of Riley. (Teacherxstudent)(GxG) (COMPLETED)》Chapter 7

I walked Yasmin to the car. I couldn't help but feel for her, her body lost control infront of the people she's going to encounter daily for the next 3 years, She sat in the passengers chair resting her head on the window. I need to collect my work off Alexa. I bobbed my head in the car making sure my sister knew what I was saying. "I'll be back now, I'm just going to grab some work."

She smiled weakly. "No problem. It's not like I'm going anywhere." It pained my heart to see Yas like this. She was always confident and sarcastic then she has a seizure and she's grave. I passed her a sympathetic look as I slammed the car door.

I got to Alexa's class. I quickly puffed up my hair a little bit and straightened out my dungarees. I mentally slapped myself for being nervous when all I was going to do was collect my catch up work. I knocked on the door and I heard clatter of footsteps on the other side. The door opened and Alexa stood infront of me with a surprised stutter.

"Riley?!I-I thought you were excused?" Alexa's voice sounded trembled when she saw me. Her posture quickly straightened up like she was having a casual encounter with a student. I smiled weakly trying to be calm and collected mentally kicking myself for letting the words I wanted to say run away with my confidence.

"Yes, I am. You told me to come get some work off you after I'd finished?" My voice was laced with a hint of confidence that I'd mustered up, I'm never one to be nervous on the exterior but interior I'm never calm or collected. The calm exterior I've built could come down to the fact I've been on anxiety tablets for about 6 years.

She stared at me, trying to work me out. It was quite attractive I could feel the heat rise up in my stomach, I pushed the feeling back down: She's a peer remain focused Riley.

"Miss-...Alexa are you okay? You seem puzzled?"

The expression on her face told me that her mind had gone completely blank. It was worrying, she didnt have that calm and composed exterior that she demonstrated earlier on in the day. Finally, she snapped out of her thoughts and hit reality. "Oh, sorry. I- yes, I did say that. One second."

I watched her as she drifted away from me. She bent over her desk and the shape of her revealed itself. Her behind was perfect and toned and her legs were pale and followed in pursuit, she obviously walked a lot. Her hands were shaking trying to find the work and my legs carried me over to her personal space, I had no idea what was happening; before I knew it I had her hands clasped in mine. I stared up into her beautiful eyes. The light was making them appear glassy, they're alluring all the same.

"Breathe. Everything's okay. What's worrying you?" I questioned, I was comfortable with helping people overcome panic attacks. I struggle with them myself.

Our hands were still together. She started taking deep breaths. "I- my" I looked at her intently, the cogs of my brain spinning trying to read this beautiful specimen before me.

"Focus on your breathing." I ushered, I thought it would work but she spun herself around and her head dropped.

"I'm- I'm going to pass out-" I caught her before she dropped into the floor.

"Alexa, Are you okay?" She was conscious, just out of it. I rummaged through my bag to find an isotonic energy drink. I mentally praised myself for how prepared for anything I am.

"Here. Drink some of this. It will steady your electrolytes." I handed her the drink with haste, practically putting it into her mouth.

She took a sip and something changed in her. Her body calmed down and she was composed better. "Riley, my mother's had a stroke." She stared at me for what felt like forever. I was holding her body in mine, still. I didnt know how to answer that. What could I possibly say to something like that?

She was looking up at me. I picked her up and put her down before me as she stared at me, there was something in her eyes that was telling me she wanted more off me. "Thank you, Riley. I don't know what came over me." I looked up into her beautiful orbs and I smiled weakly knowing exactly what had just happened.

"Shock Alexa. Your body didn't know how to cope with the news and then it slipped you into a panic attack." I explained, trying not to overstep my mark nor sound condescending.

She looked at me, a quizzical expression on her face. I want nothing more than to lean in and taste her lips. Her breathing slowly returned to normal. She took my hands. "If ever there is anything I can do to repay you. Please, don't be afraid to ask."

I gazed intensly at her. I let myself get lost in her eyes. There's something in them that I can't touch. I can just feel.

I smiled. "Alexa, you really should get home and rest. And see your mother."

She stared at me. I took her hands. A surge of electric ran through my hands and then up to my chest and it ended in my stomach. "Please, just rest. You need it."

She smiled. "I will." I stared at her trying to work out the expression on her face, my eyes drifted to her lips. I needed to leave now or I will end up acting on my feelings. I gave Alexa a weak smile as I walked off through the door and to the hallway.

"Riley!" I turned back, Alexa was running up the hallway. "Your work." I chuckled slightly at our lack of memory. "Thank you."
