2 Months later

Riley woke up, her world felt somewhat distorted. She shrugged the feeling off because it was probably just her body's mechanism when dealing with change. She made her daily round into Yasmin's room.

"Yas- " Darting to the auburn haired sibling prividing comfort to her. Yasmin had the duvet on her and her body was locked, her eyes were rolling, and she was making deep throaty gasps whilst panting.

The elder of the pair's hands made their way to her sisters bed hair, stroking with ease she reassured the vulnerable soul in front of her. After 20 seconds Yasmin returned to normal awaking from her seizure. Riley let out a breath of relief whilst a weak small spread across her lips.

Yasmin sat up and let out an annoyed groan. "Another one?"

"Yep. But it only lasted 20 seconds. I think. I came in and saw you have it I don't know how long it actually lasted." Riley shuffled on the bed, she hated being unsure when it came to her sibling's seizures.

Yasmine pondered on that thought before the aftermath of symptoms of her seizures started to enter her body. "Can I please have a little sleep? I'm suddenly tired after that."

Riley looked at Yas with disbelief. She didnt know why that question had sent an array of emotions through her but it did. "Of course, you can. Let me just ring the school in and tell them we'll be late and then we'll have our late notes."

Yasmin snapped her head up trying to muster up the words to show her appreciation."Riley?..Thank you, for not leaving me because of my epilepsy."

The blonde sent a lost gaze at her younger sibling. Her chest heated up with emotions, Riley always felt reveled when her sister would spill out the solemn of emotions when Riley needed to feel them most. "Don't be silly. I'm always here, okay?" Yasmin grinned widely before turning around and wrapping herself up in a duvet cocoon.

Riley finished explaining the situation to the sympathetic receptionist and all they had to do was go to the office for their notes and hand it to their teachers. She couldn't help but feel a stab of guilt for wasting the teachers and principals time. Riley had known that Yasmin was going to have fits but she didnt anticipate the extent they'd reach to when her emotions were up and down quicker than you could say 'Stop' .

The seizures were happening quite a lot since Yasmin had began school, but nobody had any control over it and Riley wasn't going to stand in the way of her sister's way of pursuing what she wanted to be.

Riley sat at the island in the kitchen staring into her coffee mug day dreaming about her ebony haired teacher; Miss Scarlett. She couldn't help but wonder the significance of the light touches that would make her feel like she was touching an open surge of electricity. The looks they both shared during class that made Riley's heart beat faster raising her initial BPM.

The blonde closed her eyes for a second and imagined the raven haired woman. Her thoughts led her into a dangerous, addicting fantasy, she pictured what it was like to kiss her, feel her, touch her.

She'd tried her best to conceal these urges for the couple of months that she'd known Alexa, but it was getting on top of the pressured blonde. She could tell the ambience of their tension were not one sided but merely mutual.

Chugging the last sip of her coffee, shaking her head of her dangerously satisfying thoughts Riley walked upstairs. She peeked into Yasmin's room eyeing the clock above her bed which read eight forty four.

"Yas, do you want to go to school?" The ash haired stood in the door way unable to tell if her younger sibling was really ready to embrace the day, to her surprise the blue eyed auburn haired younger woman shot up out of her bed. "Yeah. I'll be ready now!" She shouted abruptly causing Riley to jump out of her skin letting a light chuckle escape her lungs. "If it was that easy to get you out of bed I'm going to wake you up with that question every day."

Yasmin shot a death stare back at Riley and she took that as a cue to leave, laughing to herself. It was moments like those that Riley appreciated, the mild banter and her sisters signature 'death stare.'

Downstairs, Riley fixed Yas a breakfast to go; with bacon, eggs and hash browns. Riley knew that would help her rumbling stomach and also light up her mood for the day they had ahead. Yasmine peered into the kitchen. "Thanks, sis. You're a lifesaver." Releasing the breakfast to go out of Riley's light grip, the blonde gave her sister a sheepish stance. "Don't expect it every time." She deadpanned as she flashed Yasmine a wicked smile. "C'mon lazy bones. Let's go to school."

Riley and Yasmin got to school at 9:37 (they were seven minutes late). They quickly strutted to the office where their late notes were being held, they thanked the sympathetic receptionist who was amazingly chirpy this morning and the pair split up into their classes.

Riley's P.O.V

I walked into my film studies class, 15 pairs of eyes were all on me. I didn't mind, I had my note so none of them would have the satisfaction of sniggering at the cause of my tardiness. I turned my attention over to Alexa who looked absolutely divine today, her hair was a little bit longer than the last time I saw her. Her eyes appeared tired. Her stance became defensive when I caught her attention, but she produced a warm smile nevertheless."Sorry, I'm late I have a note." I managed the blurt out without stuttering. Thank you, lords.

The whole class's eyes never left me as I walked over to my desk. Alexa's expression softened. I'm not sure if it was because I had an excuse or if she was excited to see me. I tried to tear my eyes away from the beauty and to get my folder and pencil case out.

Her gaze lingered whilst she spoke."That's no problem. I'll take it off you and we'll carry on." Her voice was softly spoken. I could feel my body calming down by hearing her sweet muddled accent. She walked towards me gleaming with newfound energy, she took the note out of my stray hand brushing over my fingers; sending my stomach into a ball of knots.

Throughout the lesson I could feel the ebony haired's eyes on me causing my body to stiffen under her stare, I occasionally looked up trying to be perceived as collected even though my whole body decided to burn up under her stare. I looked down at my paper that had been handed back to me from the work I caught up on, only to see that all familiar tilted free written hand writing that Alexa had graffittied in red biro on my work.

"I'm intrigued as to what the outcome will be for the subject of your issue, Riley."

I smiled as I let my eyes wonder as Alexa was looking at me, she tilted her head forward whilst giving me a small smile. She got up from her seat and asked everyone if they were okay one by one.

She came to my desk. "Riley, are you okay?" She asked nonchantedly. My eyes wondered up into her hazel orbs that she posessed lingering tension lacing the pair of us.

"Yes Miss.Scarlett. Are you?" I smiled.

The question caught her off guard. Alexa gave me a look that I couldn't decipher whilst she stuttered. 'I-yes thank you, Riley."

She turned her back to me to help another student and a teacher came in slamming the door open. "Riley Wood, you need to come with me right now!"

I looked at Alexa, she had a worried expression as she looked at me; "Go. See me after class to get your work."

I nodded. I could feel the familiar feeling of the 15 pairs of eyes on the back of my skull as I exited the room. This has got to be about Yasmin, there's no way that I would be pulled out of a classroom for nothing in particular.

The woman in front of me leading me around the school looked panicked, I could sense her urgency. As I was about to open my mouth finally the teacher spoke. "Your sister had a fit and our first aider isn't here and you're her next of kin." I let out a breath. I knew it was Yas, I hoped that the walk would end around this corner so I tried to pry information about my sisters incident out of the tired woman walking ahead.

"I see. How long did it last?"

"About 2 minutes I believe." My eyes widened a fraction. She hasn't had one that long for months, my hands started trembling I wanted to be by her side right this second, I tried snapping out of my thoughts but Yasmin had had two seizures in the matter of about 3 hours.

We reached the classroom and Yasmin was on the floor. The same familiar sight I've seen thousands of time's before. I made a mental note of the younger students and how many of them were gaping and how not a single one of them had a laugh they were trying to surpress. Her whole class was looking at me then down to Yasmin. My stomach knotted. I took a deep breath in and I tried to mentally quote my mantra.

I knelt beside my vulnerable auburn haired sibling hoping she'd calm down but my prayer's were not answered, her body still trembling. I counted the minutes and I pried the witnesses for information.

"Yas, you're okay. You're safe. I'm here. Shh, shh, shh," I rolled her on her side stroking her back making sure her area was safe. I kept checking that she didn't bite her tongue. I counted the seconds praying for it to be over. The teachers and students were watching us like we were sacrificing her to Satan. It got to 4 minutes. Enough was enough. I couldn't watch this any longer, this was too dangerous.

"Where's Yasmin's bag?" I politely asked the teacher's who were watching over us attentively.

"Over there." Pointing to the other side of the room.

"Can you bring it to me please?" I asked trying to mask the fact that my heart was in my throat. Thankfully it worked, she smiled and walked over.

I retrieved Yasmin's emergency diazepam, filled up the syringe stuck it into her mouth then I caressed her cheek and the painful seconds passed until Yas snapped up. I could have screamed in happiness but I decided to save myself the embarrassment.

She looked at me. "What the fuck's that taste?" My jaw dropped to the floor. "YAS!"

The whole classroom let out a laugh, even the teachers chuckled at the profanity . Yasmin looked at the teachers, mumbling her apologies, with her crimson cheeks but I honestly think they were just glad she was conscious.

She saw all her classmates looking at her and she froze. Her body tensed up and she gave me the look that told me she needed to leave right now. She reinforced the look with a question. "Riley. Can we go home please?!"

Her face was falling and her confidence was dropping every second that she sat there, being the centre of attention for her class to oggle.

The lady next to us heard Yasmins question and nodded her head."I'll talk to the principal about excusing the two of you." As we got up to walk the bell rang. Thank god.
