《Soulmates/ Jolby》Chapter four

It's a few days after the filming incident and Colby is trying to take a nap with his mate, but the negative thoughts of telling the fans are plaguing him.
'If I want these negative thoughts to stop, I have to talk to Jake and Sam about telling everyone.'
Colby turns around in his bed and grabs his phone; he then texts Sam, and tells him to meet Jake and him downstairs.
Jake wakes up from all the moving in the bed, and looks at Colby curiously.
"Good, you're up. We're meeting Sam downstairs, come on." He then kisses Jake on the forehead and pulls him up by his hands.
"Why are we meeting Sam downstairs?"
"Save all your questions for downstairs, little mate."
When the two boys get downstairs, Sam is already there.
"Hey, Guys. What did you want to talk about, Colby?" Sam asks.
"Hey. Uh-"
Colby sits down next to Jake, with Sam on the other couch.
"- I wanted to talk to both about coming out to the fans."
"Would we be telling them the whole story, or just that we're dating?" Jake asks.
"Just dating. We can't tell them the whole story, too many hunters out there."
"I appreciate that you wanted me down here to talk about this with you guys, but why exactly am I here?" Sam asks.
"You're here because of the Sam and Colby channel. If we get back lash, then you will most likely get it, too. We're business partners, Sammy." Sam understood completely.
"I think it's a good idea, guys." Sam finally says.
"Me too."
At the sound of his mates voice, Colby turns around and looks at him.
"Do you really? We don't have to tell them if you don't want to." Colby says.

"Babe, I want everyone to know we're together. I'm not ashamed of it."
"I guess it's official. We'll tell them tonight." Colby says while taking Jake's hand.
Sam smiles at his two friend, and says, "it'll go amazing, boys."
Colby starts up the Instagram live , and takes Jake's hand; they sit and wait for more people to show up.
Once they have enough people in, Colby starts to talk.
"Hey, guys. Jake and I have something to tell you guys."
Colby looks over at Jake and smiles as if to ask if he's ready, Jake smiles back. Colby takes Jake's hand and looks up to the screen again.
"We're dating." He says while holding up his and Jake's hands.
The comments starts going crazy.
"This better not be a prank."
"OMG SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS"
"I already ship it."
"I can't believe ittttt"
"Ugh it should have been me."
The two boys ignore the last comment, but smile at the others.
"Thank you guys for being so accepting." Jake says.
"Yeah, you guys are awesome."
Colby and Jake y'all for a bit, and answer some questions. Near the end of their live, Jake tells the viewers that they better be prepared for some cute My Boyfriend tags, and Colby laughs at him. The boys say goodbye to everyone, and end their live.
"That wasn't that bad." Colby says.
"No, it was actually really nice." Jake laughs.
The two of them jump into bed, and cuddle for awhile.
'I love this man so much." Colby thinks to himself.
Jake wakes up to Colby hyperventilating in his sleep. Jake reaches over and hold Colby until he wakes up and calms down.
"I'm sorry for waking you." Colby's voice cracks.

"Don't worry about it, baby. What happened?" Jake asks softly.
"I dreamed that I lost you..." He starts to cry.
"Shh. I'm right here, baby. I'm right here."
Colby calms down again, and hugs Jake harder. He starts to fall back to sleep. When Jake looked down again, Colby was asleep.
'What if he has another nightmare?' Jake shutters at the thought.
Jake didn't go back to sleep that night.
Colby wakes up feeling like hell the next morning. He has a huge headache, and all he wants to do is cuddle up with his mate. At the thought of his mate, Colby looks over and sees Jake is in a sitting position against his wall, asleep. Colby pokes the boy to wake him up.
"Uhh. Colbs? What-?"
"What are you doing asleep against the wall, little mate?" Colby asks with a chuckle.
"I..."
At the hesitation in his reply, Colby sits up as well and moves over a bit more towards Jake.
"What is it, Jake?"
"I didn't want you to have another nightmare, so I stayed up. Well, until I fell asleep at 6:30 this morning."
"Jake... you didn't have to do that for me."
"You would have done it for me!"
Colby gets off his bed, and says "Get some sleep, babe. I'll be back in a few minutes."
Colby walks out his down and down the stairs, a cold look on his face. He heads for the living room, knowing all of the roommates will be in there. He stands in front of the TV, and looks at all of them.
"I don't want any noise, and I don't want anyone coming into my room. Jake is sleeping. Got it?" He only gets nods in return.
Finding them good enough for him, Colby heads back upstairs.
'I hate that I scared them, but I don't want to risk Jake being woken up. The boy has been up long enough.'
Colby walks into his room to find Jake still awakes.
"I thought I said for you to get some sleep, little mate?"
"I can't sleep without you..."
Colby jumps into the bed and gives Jake a quick kiss before he starts to play with his hair. Instantly, Jake is asleep.
'I think I'll take this time to edit a bit.' He thinks while he gets his laptop out.
'I think I found my medicine for sickness.' He thinks with a smile 'Jake.'

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
