Colby shoots up in bed drenched in sweat, instantly making sure he really is awake.
"That shit was so real," he mumbled to himself.
He doesn't remember the details of the nightmare, but he could tell that it was about his mate. Colby is hit by a wave of excitement, he meets his mate today. Mates are a werewolves other half, they are your soulmate, and Colby couldn't wait to meet him/her. He finally gets up and makes his way to the shower.
In his bedroom after his shower, Colby is trying to find something to wear when he's hit by the strong smell of roses and chocolate.
'Oh shit. My mate lives here?! This can't be happening.'
Jake, having been up for 2 hours now, is starting to get bored of his game that he is currently playing, and makes his way to the kitchen to find something to drink. When he starts to sip on his water, he hears loud footsteps running down the stairs.
Finally, someone is up!' He thinks to himself.
Jake realizes that it's Colby, and he seems to be looking for something.
'When is he going to notice I'm here?'
As if hearing Jake's thoughts, Colby's intense gaze shoots up to meet Jake's curious one. Jake feels sparks go up his body, but he ignores them.
As my eyes finally land on the source of the wonderful scent of my mate, I notice that it's Jake. The weird thing is, I don't seem to care that it's one of my roommates, all I want to do is hug him and protect him.
"Hey, man, what are you looking for?"
'Shit. How do I tell him? I think I got'
I ignore his question, and speed forward to hug him. The shock on his face is as clear as day, but I don't care.

I lowly growl, "Mine."
"Colbs, what's going on?" He whispers.
The nickname that he uses makes me want to hug him even tighter, but I know that would hurt him if I did that.
I think it's time to explain everything.
"That's... crazy..." Jake mumbled.
I'm his mate? How? Wait, he's a what? What is this, twilight?
"What happens now?" I quietly ask.
"Now, we go on with our lives just with each other." Colby says with a smile; I give a small one in return.
His happy face soon turns into a sad one.
"Listen, Jake, if you don't want this... you can... reject me." It was only a murmur, but I could hear him.
I think to myself, 'Do I really want to reject him, and go on with my life?'
'No' I answer my own question.
"I'm not going to reject you, Colbs. How could I reject that cute little face?" I smirk at him.
Colby's eyes go darker, and he playfully growls at me.
"You got nerve, little mate." I smile at his response.
"Colbs, should we tell the roommates? Do they know that you're a werewolf?"
"No, they don't know, but we can tell them when they wake up." He sighs
Just as I was about to answer, Sam and Kat come downstairs, trailing behind them are the rest of the roommates.
'That's a coincidence.' I laugh a bit at my thought.
"Hey, guys! Can you all come in here? Jake and I have something to tell you," Colbs asks them.
We hear a lot of groans, and in come the roommates.
"What's up, my brothers?!?" Corey yells.
"I think I need to just come and say it..." Colby says hesitantly.
Colby then says, "basically, I'm a werewolf and Jake is my mate..."
