"WHY YOU'RE NOT ANSWERING ME?" I heard him say it against to my mate while forcefully turning her to face him, which sends me and Zack over the edge.

I quickly strides toward him and pushed him away from my mate. I placed her at my back, protecting her from this preposterous Alpha. I glared at him, looking straight at his golden eyes.

"Derrick, what is your problem?" I snarled towards him, how dare he touched my Mate.

"KILL HIM!" Zack ordered, which I am happily oblige to do.

"I asked her who's with her, and she's not answering me!" He said while snarling back. He's fuming, which urges me to beat him to pulp.

"THIS MORON CHOOSES DEATH! " Zack fiercely growled in my head.

"She's not obliged to answer to you!" My wolf and I yelled and my claws beginning to come out. Zack wants to take over.

I'm furious, but I felt the hand of Ava, telling me to calm down.

I immediately turned around at her and hold her body tightly. I inhaled her lavender scent, to appease both me and Zack.

"Love, go up to your room and stay there."

"Ok Zander, please calm down, I'm alright." She's tensed, maybe because of the whispering and gasping from those who just watched the scene.

I'm fuming, but I didn't show it to her.

She run upstairs quickly and I know why, because, she's not used to see a lot of people murmuring something about her. And that pisses me off.

When she's out of my sight I quickly confront the imbecile.

"Derrick, What the hell you're doing to her?

"Why? Is she your Mate?" He asked in a firm voice. I glared at him because of his tone, like he's mocking me.

"Yes, she's my mate and I dare you, to do that again and I will skin you alive." I snarled at him and all the people around us gasped in horror.

"And I like to see you try." He said in cold way and smirked at me. I was about to jump at him when my father abruptly stops me.

"Son, you need to calm down, we can talk about this in a gentle way. He doesn't know that he's your mate, well nobody knows here, even know that." My father said while holding me in my wrist.

I looked at him, like saying 'are you kidding me Dad?', he touched my mate and he expected me to be cool?

When they noticed that I am not going to back down, my mother came to me.

"Son, Avalane won't like if you go rampage again, so please calm down." She whispered and hearing my mate's name and my mother touch, help me to cool down.

We return to our seats and relax. Derrick seems amused, it shown on his eyes and I want to stop myself from jumping again.

"Can we forget about what happened a while ago and focus on the matter on hand?" My father states, I'm still furious but agreed with him anyway.

"Of course, Alpha Philip, and I would like to apologize for my behavior towards the Future Luna as I don't have any Idea, it is just that my rage gets into me."

"But you cannot do that here, if you are enraged, you shouldn't let out that here, in my pack!" I said in a mocking way.

"Well, as I told you before, I don't know he's your mate, because you'll never acted like that if she's just normal pack member." He replied which made me punched the table.

"Zander! He apologized already, he's correct, he doesn't know and you should at least forget that." I was about to reply to my father when my mother grabbed my hand, like begging me to hold myself, her eyes are glassy and it's killing me looking at her now. I caresses her hand and nod my head at her.

My father then asked everyone to continue lavish the dinner.

I lost my appetite after the ruckus, so I stood up and tell my father that I will wait at the meeting room. And I could feel all the heated stares at my back but I couldnt care less. I am pissed and I can't stand eating with them.

After an hour, I heard their strides outside the meeting room. I quickly put down the file that I'm currently reading when the door swung open, coming into my sight my father, Cole, Mark, Derrick, his Beta and Gamma.

I looked at them and they take their seats, meaning that the meeting about the alliance is about to start.

After an hour......

"So Alpha Derrick, how you find our pack territory?" my dad said, in a soothing voice.

"Well, aside from a very warm welcoming from your Son," saying while looking at me, "it's very quiet here, and the food was fantastic."

"Good, it's my wife who cooks and it was expected to be fantastic as usual," my dad boasted, I started to know where it will go so, I suddenly look at him.

"Dad, I have some----." He abruptly cut me, "No son, you will stay, I have something very important to say." He looked at me intently.

"What is it Dad?"

"Well, because finally you found your mate, it will be better if we can announce it tomorrow, at the same time I'll hand over formally the alpha title to you."

"What? Can we postpone that announcement? Why in hurry?" I asked him in exasperated tone.

"Son, the pack wants to know their Luna and it is our tradition to proclaim her asap."

"Dad, she's not ready" I declared.

"What do you mean she's not ready? For the initiation? But it is our law, we can't escape now, everyone knows, and the pack have the right." He said in firm voice.

I want to run and get out of here, but I have to deal with it.

I stood up from my chair and exit the room, when I was about to walk towards my mate's room, someone cough behind me.

I turn around and saw that it was Nathalie, well as expected.

"For the love of God, what do you want Nathalie?" I narrowed my eyes on her, informing her that I don't want to hear any bullshit, not now.

"So, that is why you end our relationship, because of that filthy Omega? You chose her more than me?" she snarled.

"Wait, Wait, you mean I chose her over you? Well of course, because she's my mate and even she's not, probably I will still choose her over you. Nathalie your attitude really sucks, I can't choose you as my Luna." I said in hoarse voice.

She's about to cry but I ignore her.

I was about to walk out when she said something.....

"Well, tomorrow at the announcement, expect that I will going to challenge her, so to save her ass, you better tell her to back off." She's smirking now, she knows that Avalane is weak, not a warrior who can beat her, but the truth is... I'm not afraid.

I went to my mate's room to inform her everything, to prepare her.
