She said while her eyes brimmed with tears. Those eyes that now pierced through my heart like a knife.

Everything is blurry, first how did she know my bedroom? Second, why she's crying and fuming at me at the same time? What did I do? But I recalled what she said before. Could it be that it is about her work at cafe?

"You have no right to do that." Her voice quavered and all I want to do is to hold her and take away the pain. Seeing her crying breaks my heart into pieces. I start to walk to her but she raised her hand, so I stopped.

"Explain why you need to order my manager to terminate me from my job!" Oh shit!, I muttered to myself. I didn't realized that it was the reason she's crying and I didn't know that she will be devastated about it. I know asking her manager was a low blow but I need to appease me and my wolf.

"You have no idea how important that job to me, to my family. But of course you couldn't care less. You wouldn't care even." She yelled out, this time my wolf wants to surface and come close to her but I hold him. She won't allow us to touch her, with her mood right now, so I just listened and absorb all her yelling.

"Avalane , I'm —" I was cut by her immediately.

"No, dont say sorry. I understand, nobody can say No to the future Alpha, like me, like me as your mate. When you told me that you are not ready, I didnt say anything. When you told me not to say to anyone, I didnt tell to no one. I just absorbed all and followed you. Even it hurts too much." She paused while wiping the tears that running down to her cheeks.

"My world stop when I found you as my mate. For a minute I was the most happiest girl in the world, but my world collapsed when I saw your coldness towards me." I was stunned, I wanted to reply that it is not what I wanted.

"But I get it, who would accept an Omega for a mate? Specially for an Alpha? A weak, a human because you think I dont have a wolf." My mouth agape because what she said are not true. I don't care about her status, she's my mate, my other half and that's it, but how could I explain that to her.

"But this things that you do, for what Alpha? What did I do to you? Please tell me Alpha, because this time, I can't understand." She wipes again her tears that's overflowing. Tears that I'm the one who cause. And I felt so guilty about it.

I'm such an Idiot.

All of the sudden the door open and she swiftly turned around and get out of my room.

My feet can't move because I am still in daze, but Zack beat me. Telling me to follow her mate or else all hell break loose. So, I grabbed my shirt and follow her, expecting that she might be downstares but to my surprise she's nowhere and even her scent.

Where the hell is she?

" Zack said while trying to take control. But I beat him.

"Relax, leave it to me, and as if you didn't push me to do that, so don't blame all that to me!" I retorted and because of that he blocked me out and I smirk at myself. The wolf think he's innocent? Huh...

As I reached the woods, I sniffs the air, but to my surprise I can't catch her scent. I used my human speed to go deeper but I couldn't find her and it's upsetting.

Finally, I realized that maybe she doesn't want to be found so I decided to stop and wait for a while. Soon I started to walk towards the lake, maybe it is good to wait there.

After few minutes and to my surprise, there's someone floating above the water.

Naked.

And it's none other than Avalane.

After I slapped all those words to his face, I felt relieved. And then quickly get out of his room. I hide again my scent and move fast as the wind, because I know he will follow me and I dont want to face him.

Upon reaching the woods, I quickly shift and run deeper into it. Althea and I, needed some release.

I dont know how what time is it but after I felt that I reached my limit, we decided to go to lake. Just I wish nobody will see me because I know I am not allowed to swim there. But with my condition, I dont care, let them punish me, for all I care.

I shift back and dived.

The water is warm and peaceful, which drives me to close my eyes and float over the water.

And it felt so good.

When all the sudden I heard footsteps, and quickly hide my naked body.

"You should not be here, It's dangerous to be here and you know that Avalane." My mate said in husky voice. My bare back faced him, while I snaked my arms around my nakedness.

"I can go wherever I want, Alpha." I replied. "And I can take care of myself." I added, I heard him let out a deep sigh.

"Not if you're my." He said calmly. But pointing out more the word 'mate'.

"Since when?" I answered sarcastically. I am still not facing him.

"Since the day I found out that you're my mate. The day you entered the classroom and captured my eyes." The way he said those words, caused me and Althea to forget everything, but I fight the feeling. He is still an ass.

"Avalane Marie Collins, Can we talk for a minute, please?" His voice sounds desperate, and Althea asked me to give him a chance.

I have second thoughts but I guess I need to face him, he's still my mate and I want to know what he wants.

"Ahh, I am naked, and I dont have clothes." I heard him swallowed audibly and walk towards me.

"Close your eyes Alpha." I ordered. I can't face him while I am in my birthsuit.

"Ok, my eyes are closed now, you can turn around." He said, I told him 'no peeking' and he just smirk, Goddess, I swear I stop breathing when he slowly take off his clothes.

." Althea chirped inside my head, turned my cheeks to red. Good that his eyes are not open, he won't witness my face that turned into tomato.

He handed me his shirt.

"Can you turn around?" I ordered again. See, I am not used to this nakedness and I dont trust him that he will not peek. He quickly turned around and I immediately put on his shirt.

"I am decent now, you can turn around Alpha."

I shivered at his penetrating gaze. I looked down at my feet, because I dont have courage to meet his gaze.

All of the sudden, his hands gently lifts my chin so that I could look at his eyes. The touch sends sparks throughout my body, I dont know why it was so intense, and I dont have the answer as I am new with this feelings.

"Avalane, don't ever look down at me, not now, not ever." He said, while caressing my cheek with the back of his hand. I blushed again because of this gestures. "I really like you when you blushed." He mumbled in my ears, sending shivers down my spine. His touches and teasing breaks all my walls down.

" I hate seeing you cry, Ava."

"I can't fight it, It hurts too much." I replied while pointing my heart. Tears forming again to my eyes, and I want to stop it, so I close my eyes but I failed.

Suddenly his fingers wiped the tears and I felt his lips on my eyes, before kissing my forehead.

"I'm so sorry, my love. I didnt mean to hurt you. I swear to the moongoddess, it was not my intention." He grabbed my face and kiss my nose. His forehead touched mine and suddenly butterflies in my stomach erupted.

"I want you Ava, I want you to know that. But there's some thing that stopping me from claiming you." I looked at him, with a frown on my face.

"Why? Because I am Omega? I got it Alpha, you dont have to say it again." I snapped and turn my face away, but he quickly grabbed it to let me look at him, again.

"No, not that, I dont care whatever your status, even if you're slave I will still accept you." He said."So what is it? Tell me because I dont want to be in dark again." I asked, pinching the bridge of my nose. All these revelations overwhelmed me. My life is not the same anymore. I am not the same anymore, I have a wolf, I am a white wolf.

So atleast, just for once let my mate be true to me. Atleast tell me the reasons why he cannot accept me.

"Listen to me carefully, I am telling you this because I care about you. Since the foundation of our pack, our ancestors made this pack law, a tradition where the soon-to-be-Luna, will undergo challenge, they called it ' where can be challenged by any unmated female shewolf that seems fit to take her place."

"Wait, So you mean that the matebond doesn't matter? Somebody can take her mate even the Moongoddess choose her for him?" I asked, he let out a deep sigh and then nod his head.

"Yes, they said that the Luna should know how to defend, not only herself but the pack." He explained while looking at me.

"Oh, Well, that's reasonable." He suddenly frowned. Did I said something wrong?

"But I'm not finish. Did you know what happen during the challenge?"

"No, I dont have any idea, It's all new to me."

"Don't freak out. But I want you to know, that the Luna and the challenger will face to face inside the arena, and both of them...will fight til.....death." He said, the last part seems not intended to be heard but I caught it still.

'We can beat them all, Ava.' Althea said in my mind. Huh, this sassy really know when to pop up.

"That is why I'm hesitant to accept you. If Nathalie found out that you're my mate, she will not waste any minute to challenge you. She'll rip you into pieces." He said in anxious voice but I couldn't careless. I know how to depend myself.

'Oh, I like to see her try.' Althea said, and I send her away. She's very violent and I don't like it. I'm a peaceful person and is not one of them.

"Is that why you pushed me away? Afraid that someone will know I am your mate and put me at risk?" I asked.

"Yes, you can talk to my wolf Zack if you like. Believe me, since I laid my eyes on you, My world never been the same. Whereever I look, I see your face even in my dreams, I guess I am crazy now."

My heart beats so fast and Althea purr inside my head by what he just said and I know he's sincere.

"So what is your plan?" He rubs his face and hair, he looked frustrated, and I want to ease that feeling so I grabbed his hands and let him look at me.

"Alpha, I understand, dont worry if you dont want me now as your mate, it's alright."

"No, No, I want you Avalane. Eversince I found you, All I want is to have you in my arms." He slowly move so that we're inch apart.

"I, future Alpha of the BloodMoon Pack, accept you AVALANE MARIE COLLINS as my mate and future Luna."

I can't believe what I'm hearing...

He's accepting me as his mate...

And I guess it's my turn now.

"I, , accept you ZANDER CADE BLACK as my mate and my future Alpha." And then he quickly smash his lips on mine. The kiss was so good. He sucked and nibbled my lower lip while I grasped my fingers on his hair. He asked permission to invade my mouth. I had never been kissed before and this kiss cause shivers all over my body. His expert mouth explored everything.

When we pulled away, we're both panting, he looked at me while caressing my cheek.

"You have no Idea how happy I am now. Who would believe, I am holding the most precious and important person in my life." He said while hugging me tighly and his hands travel down my lower back.

"Really Alpha?" I grinned, while pouting his lips.

"Dont call me that, Call me Zander, love."

"Ok, so explain why you asked to terminate me my job." I raised my brows and wait for his explaination.

"It's because I am a possessive about you. Me and my wolf dont like you wearing those sexy clothes, while all the men staring at your ass and legs. It drives us insane, and we want to kill everyone that dare to look at you." I narrowed my eyes on him. "Really? just because of the clothes? Well I am not naked Zander!" I scoffed.

"You can't blame me, you really have killer legs and perky ass. Do you think I will be happy that other can feast on you? Of course not. And I'm serious, I will cut their throat if they dare to look at you. YOU'RE MINE AVALANE!" He said thru gritted teeth.

"Oh my God, but why Nathalie can wear skin tight dress and you never act this way?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Because she is not my mate. My feelings for her is not like yours, I felt more possessive over you." He declared.

"Speaking of her, are you going to be with her, even you accepted me."

"I will talk to her. I will end everything with her as soon as possible. Dont worry I am only yours." He smirked while giving me a quick peck.

"But I need job, my parents can't work and I am the only one they depend on."

I don't like to tell him this but he needs to know what is my status in life. We are not rich and my parents need me.

"No, I cannot allow you to work at the same job again." He said in a firm voice.

"Ok, So let me have job in the pack house, like your personal made, then you can give me salary." I suggested while his brow furrowed. If he will accept this, I kill two birds with one stone.

"You dont need to work, I will just give you money."

"No. No. dont do that. Let me work or I will not talk to you." I quickly get out from his hold and act like I am walking away when suddenly he grabbed my hands.

"Dont do that, you know I dont like you to suffer, I dont like it." He explained.

"Zander I will be your personal maid, meaning I'm the one who will clean your room, give you coffee and anything." Then suddenly his eyes switched from green to gold.

"Anything?" So for all that I said, that's the one thing he understand.

"Yes, but not like what you're thinking Mister, so stop."

He smirked while I am smiling too. Now I will have the chance to get access to his office and files.

I guess I can call it a day because I yawned absentmindedly and he look amused by that. He asked me if I want to ride on his back, but I refused, I told him that our house is near. And it takes us not long to reach it.

"Sweetdreams My Love. Tomorrow after school, bring some of your stuff from your house. You will stay at the pack house from now on. And my office is open for you." He said while kissing me on my forehead.

"Ok, see you tomorrow Zander." He waits for me to enter my house.

My parents are already asleep.

So I went to my bathroom to have a nice shower. And when I'm done. I quickly grabbed my pajamas and jumped on my bed.

I could say that being happy is understatement for what we are feeling right now. Althea still jumping in my head and my smile never falter. I closed my eyes and reminisced his soft lips on mine. My first kiss. I never thought that it will be that great. And for now I want to forget everything and think only that because I know soon, more challenges will come to us.
