《Falling For A Hijabi (part 1 And 2)》chapter 15 In coma

My heart litrally stopped, my body was numb, my vision was blurry I thought I would lose my consciousness for the first time in my life.
I had every question in my head, why, how, when......about two hours ago she was okay and now she is in coma ?!!! I was going crazy.
" Shahd, this is a prank, right???" I said hopefully.
" No" Shahd replied with the answer I dreaded the most.
I litterally dropped the phone, grabbed my keys and ran to the car, without giving ant attention to what I was wearing or how I looked.
The most important thing in my head was.... Her.
Thank God, shahd gave me the name of the hospital, otherwise I would have searched every hospital in the city.
Somehow I arrived at the hospital, after almost getting into a car crash multiple times.
I went to the receptionist and asked her about where I could find the intensive Care unit, she gave the directions, I didn't even thank her, I just ran like a crazy.
When I arrived at where the intensive Care unit was, I found Jannah's mother sitting on a chair in front of one of the rooms, I approached her, she was crying and shaking like a tree, I didn't know what to say, but the first words that came out of my mouth were.
" How is she?!!! " I asked her.
" My daughter.........she is in coma " the lady said crying.
" What did the doctors say?!!" I asked her in Hope of hearing a reassuring answer.
" I don't know....nobody has spoken to me yet " she answered.
" But....Jannah...she was okay today at school!!! " I said.
The lady didn't say a word, she looked at me in despair, then she looked at the ground and buried her face in her hands, sobbing.
I didn't know if I had done something wrong, But I wanted somebody to answer this question for me so bad.
After about ten minutes of silence, a doctor and a group of nurses came out of the room.
" Are you the mother?!!" The doctor asked.

" Yes..yes..she is my daughter " Jannah's mother said
" Well, I have good news and bad news, the good news is that she has been stabilized, but the bad news, she is still in danger, but we have seen worse ma'am, there is always Hope " the doctor said.
" Can I see her?!!" Jannah's mother said.
" Yes, but only for five minutes, excuse me ma'am " the doctor said, and with these words he walked away.
This wasn't enough for me, so I ran after him.
"Doctor...doctor..can I ask you a question?!! " I asked.
" Are you....family??!!" He asked.
" No....." I said.
" Then I can't, son, I'm sorry" he said.
His words stapped me in the heart, he was right who was I to her??!!
Jannah's mother went into the room to see her, I wanted so bad to sneak in to see her too, but I couldn't.
After five minutes she came out calmer, she sat down next to me .
" She is still unconscious, but she is better, Alhamdulilah " she said trying to reassure me.
After a couple of minutes, I couldn't handle it anymore so I asked her.
" Did...did Jannah try to kill herself ??!!!".
" No...she wouldn't do something like that " she said.
" Then what was it, ma'am I care about her, I have so many unanswered questions..." I said angerily.
I knew I shouldn't be angery, after all she was her mother, but I couldn't help it.
" It was Hassan.......her brother.....he tried to strangle her " she started crying again.
" What....?!!" I said in shock.
Her brother, the one man in the world that should have cared for her.
" But why...?!!" I asked spontaneously
" He wanted her to marry Mr Zayn Ahmed, but she refused, so he attacked her.....he was drunk....he attacked her....he put his hands on her neck.....I begged him to leave her...but I didn't have the strength to defend my own daughter.... against my own son.....and now I can't even tell the police...... how can I testify against my own son?!! " she said crying.

I could feel the pain in her voice, I couldn't imagine the sorrow she was in, her own son tried to kill his own sister, that's sick.
" Jannah is very strong, she will be okay.... in shaa Allah " I said trying to use the words Jannah would use when she speaks.
" I know, but ....she has been through a lot ....it was my fault...I shouldn't have let Hassan in the house in the first place " she said in agony.
" No, ma'am, don't blame yourself " I said trying to reassure her.
After about thirty minutes of silence, a man in his twenties approached us, he looked middle eastern, I didn't identify him at first.
" Hassan " Jannah's mother shouted.
" Is she gonna be okay?!!" He asked.
" You shouldn't be here" Jannah's mother said.
" Are you gonna tell the police??!!!" He asked in fear.
" So that's all you care about, you almost killed your sister, and you are still that selfish?!!" Jannah's mother shouted at him.
I couldn't take it anymore, so I grapped his arm, he noticed me.
" And who are you..?!!" He asked angerily.
" A person who cares about your sister more than you " I said looking straight into his eyes.
" You are her white lover, aren't you?!!" He asked.
" No, I'm not, because your sister is better than this " I said sternly.
He didn't say a word so I continued.
" Can I have a word with you outside?!! " I said pretending to be gentle.
" Okay " he said in surrender.
We walked together, I was grabbing his arm the whole way like a police officer, until we were outside the hospital, in a secluded place.
" So what do you want?!!" He asked.
I looked at him, and the first word came out of my hand instead of my mouth, I punched him in the face, He fell to the ground, putting his hand over his bleeding nose.
" This one for laying a hand on Jannah " I said.
He was shocked of my reaction.
When he stood up again, I punched him in the belly, so he fell to the ground again.
" And this one for trying to force her to marry someone she doesn't like " I said.
He was wailing with pain on the ground, but he stood up again.
This time I kicked him.
" And this one for being so stupid, because you missed the opportunity to be a good brother to a phenomenal person like Jannah " I said spitting in his face.
To my surprise, he started to cry like a baby.
" I know....I'm a bad person...I don't deserve her...I don't deserve my family....I'm sorry.....I won't hurt them again.....I tried my best to be in my father's place but ....I failed...I'm sorry...you don't know how bad it feels when you let your family down" he said crying.
" Too late for this type of talk....you are a criminal " I said leaving him on the ground alone, crying.
I went back to where Jannah's mother was, and I saw that Jannah's grandmother joined her, she was sitting on a wheelchair.
I looked at her, she wasn't her humorous self anymore, there was so much pain on her face.
After a moment of silence, Jannah's grandmother looked at me and said," son would you please take this to Jannah's room, I already went in and I forgot to take it with me, they won't allow me in Again " she said.
I looked at her hand, and it was some old small cassette player, I looked at her not understanding why.
" It's the Quran, it will help her in shaa Allah " she explained.
" But...they won't allow me, I'm not family....." I explained.
" But you can sneak in " she said.
I wanted so bad to see her, but I didn't know if I could take it, so I gathered my strengeth, took the cassette player from Jannah's grandmother and went into Jannah's room.
