《Talk About the Direct Approach...》Chapter Twelve: How you seduce a kidnapper

When I wake up in the morning, Cayton is already gone, leaving me in this cold bed alone. I sigh and swing my legs over the side of the bed, feeling completely rejuvenated. I haven't slept that well in a while, and I was feeling blissfully invigorated. Just thinking about Cayton left a smile on my face.

I skip down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Tami and Hunter are sitting over plates of French Toast.

"Mmm, this smells delicious," I compliment, inhaling the smell deeply. Hunter and Tami exchange knowing looks before staring at me. "What?" I ask cluelessly. Sure, my bed head might not be the most appealing, but there's no need to stare.

Tami shrugs. "You look awfully happy this morning."

"I had a good nights sleep."

"With Cayton I assume," Hunter adds, wiggling his eyebrows. I roll my eyes and slap him upside the head, something I find myself doing to him a lot. He's always teasing me about something, mostly Cayton and I. He is like an annoying little brother, but he's fun so I guess I will keep him around for a while.

"Get your mind out of the gutter. He fell asleep on my bed while I was making food."

"Uh huh." I stick my tongue out childishly and he rolls his eyes. "I thought you were supposed to be the mature one."

"I'm only eighteen," I shrug. Eighteen... That reminds me! "Speaking of which, what's today's date?"

"Uh, July 27th, why?" I just shrug and fill my plate with toast like it was no big deal. In actual reality, it is a pretty big deal. For me at least.

"You got a hot date or something?" Tami inquires.

"Nope, it's just that tomorrow is the day I graced god's green earth with my presence," I joke. I can see the gears turning in their heads as they try to make sense of what I just said. Maybe that was a little too complex for this early in the morning. Tami is the first to get it, and she gasps.

"Tomorrow's your birthday?!" I nod my head, shoving some bread into my mouth. Oh how much I cherish Tami's cooking skills. "Oh my god, why didn't you tell me?! I could have-"

"Tami chill, it's no big deal, I'm only turning nineteen. Nothing special."

"You're no fun. I'm taking you out tomorrow!" she declares. I chuckle sarcastically.

"Good luck getting Cayton to agree to that."

"Oh I might not be able to, but you most certainly can."

"How?" I ask. The only way I could think of getting Cayton to let me out was if we knocked him out for a whole day and lock him in the basement. Achievable, but completely dangerous. Just then, Trenton walks into the room, and it seems as if Tami has some sort of epiphany.

"Watch and learn," she winks. She saunters over to an unsuspecting Trenton and wraps her arms around his neck, toying with the hair at the nape of his neck.

"Trenton," she purrs, "I was wondering if I could borrow your credit card tomorrow?" She presses herself against him as her hands continue playing with his hair. I hold my laughter back as Trenton stares at her in pure shock, conflicting emotions on his face.

"I don't know-" he starts, but is cut off when Tami starts running her hands down his chest, before settling on teasing the waistband of pants as if she would go as far as undressing him right here. She keeps herself pressed against him, giving him a begging look. Its impossible to miss the lust in his eyes, even from across the room. I'm afraid I might have to step in before things get rated R in here. "Ok, fine," he finally gives in.

Classic.

"Yay! Thank you baby," Tami squeals, pecking his lips. She walks back over to us and sits down, leaving Trenton looking dazed, and disappointed. After a moment to collect himself, he shakes his head and goes to the fridge to grab a water bottle.

"If you need to take a cold shower, the bathroom is right down the hall," I tease him. He glares at me as Tami giggles and Hunter laughs.

"Very funny. I'll be the one laughing when Cayton finds out about your little surprise in his office," he says. I giggle to myself as I remember my little sticky note escapade. With that said, he leaves the kitchen and heads back down the hall.

Once I think he's out of ear-shot, Hunter and I burst into laughter, applauding Tami at her job well done. She bows mockingly.

"Thank you thank you. That took a lot less work than last time."

"Man, that boy is whipped," Hunter muses.

"No kidding, how the hell am I supposed to do that?" I ask.

"Trust me; Cayton will be putty in your hands." I highly doubt that, but I'm willing to try.

"Now what exactly did you do to his office?" Hunter asks.

"Oh that. Well, let's just say I found a pad of sticky notes. You fill in the blanks."

We sit in the kitchen talking until it's about four o'clock. Hunter and I had a continuous argument about who won our little war yesterday, which was obviously me. I even had Tami to back me up.

I leave them to go use the bathroom, and the only one I know about is upstairs. Since I'm feeling too lazy to climb steps, I have Tami direct me to one down the hall.

I'm in an incredible mood today. And to think, all because I slept in the same bed as Cayton. On my way to the bathroom, I pass Cayton's office and I laugh as I picture what his face must have looked like when he went in. I was about to knock and see if he was in there, but I stop when I hear his voice on the other side, carrying the tone I have only heard when he was trying to demand I do something.

"Any news on Zack?" he asks to whoever was in the room.

"The doctor says he's recovering nicely," I hear Carter say.

"And did Drake and them catch the intruders?"

"They only managed to chase them out of the territory."

I hear some shuffling on the other side and I decide that it's time to get my butt out of there. I continue on down the hall, wondering what they were talking about. First, who was Zack and why did he need a doctor? And who was Drake, and who did he chase out of the 'territory'?

If I didn't have a full bladder that was moments away from bursting, I probably would have thought more about it. It isn't any of my business most likely, but I'm curious. Yea yea, curiosity killed the cat. But whatever metaphorical cat they talk about must be long gone, so I'm free to be nosey without the guilt of a dead cat on my shoulders.

I bet Cayton's the head of some secret branch of the government, I think. This, of course, brings back my UFO conspiracy theory. Let's face it though, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, nor do I know what they were talking about. I decide to leave it alone for now. What am I supposed to do with the information anyways?

"What took you so long?" Tami asks when I finally make it back to the living room. She's sprawled out on the couch, with Hunter on the love seat, flipping through the channels.

"I got lost," I lie. She nods, not looking up from the TV. By now, I'm hungry for some dinner, so I offer them some of the lasagna from last night. Tami rejects my offer, but of course Hunter doesn't. I don't know what it was about these boys, but they eat a lot. And I mean A LOT.

I heat up the lasagna and make us both a plate. I sit across from Hunter and Tami comes in, taking a seat next to me since there wasn't anything worth watching on the TV. Apparently, Hunter and I are more entertaining than cable.

"Trenton said they would be done soon, so you can ask Cayton when they come in," she informs me.

"Oh. I'm not exactly sure it's going to work... odds are, I'm going to make myself look like an idiot." Both Hunter and Tami laugh, and I shoot them a warning glare. They are definitely not helping to build up my confidence.

"Don't worry, it will work. I'm one-hundred percent sure," Tami says. Hunter has this 'I don't think you can pull it off' look on his face, and i'm pretty sure we're on the same page.

"But he's so stubborn! It would take a miracle for him to say yes!"

"Who's saying yes to what?" Cayton comes in with Carter and Trenton following behind. Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Tami gives me an encouraging look as Cayton sits in the stool next to me.

'I can't' I mouth to her. She gives me a flat look and nods her head. I inwardly sigh, before turning to Cayton with the sweetest smile I could muster. If I'm going to do this, I will at least try to do the least-embarrassing thing possible, before trying out what Tami did. It was an 'if all else fails' Plan B thing.

"I was wondering if Tami and I could go out tomorrow?" I ask hopefully. I even bat my eyelashes for effect, but I'm pretty sure I only succeed in making it look like I have something in my eye. Cayton thinks about it for a second.

"No," he concludes. The smile falls off my face. I turn to Tami, who urges me on with her eyes, and Hunter who gives me a subtle thumbs-up. If all else fails...

Well, here goes nothing.

I get up and slide onto Cayton's lap gracefully. He doesn't question it, because his hands are immediately on my waist. What to do from here, I hopelessly have no idea. So I let my hands do whatever they please, since it seems my limbs have more of a clue than I do. My hands trail up and down his chest, while I do my best giving him the puppy-dog eyes. Now that I was sure that I could do well.

"Please?" I beg. His jaw is clenched and I can see that he's trying to resist saying yes. I smile slightly, knowing that I'm going to get my way and suddenly feeling more confident. "Please?"

This time I kiss along his jaw, stopping to nibble on his ear. His hands grip my waist tightly as my hands continue running down his chest slowly.

"You're playing dirty," he whispers huskily so only I can hear. I smirk and rub my hips against him ever so slightly, resulting in a low moan to form in the back of his throat. I had no idea how I knew that would work, nor do I know where the confidence to do that came from. But hey, I was desperate to get out of the house for my birthday.

"So can I take that as a yes?"

"Fine, but Hunter has to go with you," he finally agrees, his voice all breathy and husky. I look up with a huge smile on my face. I can't believe that actually worked! And I must have done it well to, if the darkness of lust swirling in his eyes had anything to say about it.

"Yay! Thank you!" I cheer, kissing his cheek.

And, apparently, that's how you seduce a kidnapper.

That was... unexpected.

I had found out it was Macy's birthday tomorrow via Trenton and Tami, and I was planning on letting her go out.

Of course, I was going to mess with her first. I didn't, however, think she would go as far as trying to seduce me to get what she wanted. But I'm certainly not going to complain about it.

Trenton and Carter are laughing their asses off, obvious enjoyment from seeing me give in to someone so easily. No amount of glaring would shut them up either. Then again, I would probably be laughing had I seen Carter in the same position. Trenton was just too easy, everyone knew he gave Tami whatever she wanted. Carter, though, the so called 'ladies man', giving into the demands of a woman? I wouldn't want to miss that.

"And so the student becomes the master," Tami giggles. I would have to thank her later for giving Macy such a good idea.

"You know, I don't think you have room to be laughing, Trenton. Tami did con you into giving her your credit card," Macy says. Trenton's laughter stops as everyone else's fills the room. Like I said, he gave her whatever she wanted. I have a feeling though that I'm going to be the exact same way with Macy.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to show missy here what happens when she misbehaves," I say. Before she knows what hit her, I scoop her up and start carrying her to the stairs, her giggling the entire time.

"Tami! Save me!" she yells.

"Sorry, she's in trouble too!" Trenton yells back, picking up Tami and taking her to one of the spare bedrooms. I make a mental note to have that room thoroughly cleaned later. Along with the carpets, and my office.

"Hunter! Carter! Someone help me out here!" Macy continues, but it was too late.

The next thing I know, Carter and Hunter's laughter fades and I'm tossed on a bed, Cayton hovering over me.

"No one's going to save you," he says with a smirk.

"I think I can handle you," I whisper, bunching up the fabric of his shirt in my hands and pulling him towards me, allowing myself to get lost in a blissful kiss.

I was definitely not looking for a way to escape anytime soon.
