Another day another ice skating practice, except I have a test today

I wore a simple outfit and packed up my bag and headed out to the rink

Upon reaching, I put on my skates and waited for the instructor.

She arrived, after a few minutes and started asking each student to do a few moves/tricks. I was sitting in the corner freaking out and getting anxious about my test because the instructor was strict and had a short temper.

I was the last person, she called me and I got into the rink.

I saw the hockey team arriving, so it was a cue for us to leave

Instructor - OK y/n, let's make this quick, can you show me a toe loop and salchow jump

I did as she instructed and was able to succeed

After a few more moves~~

Instructor - lastly show me a triple axel

It was the only move that I wasn't confident with but I tried it anyways

As I was about to land I slipped and twisted my ankle

The instructor looked at me with disgust,

Instructor-I can't belive you're my student and you can't do a simple jump, you should be ashamed of yourself

She left with the rest of her students and didn't even bother to help me, I tried to get up but was not able to,the pain slowly spread, to the point, it hurt to even move my calf

My foot was aching so bad, I didn't even realise that tears started to form in my eyes

Few seconds later, I felt somebody's presence behind me, it was James, my classmate

He bent down towards me and picked me up and brought me to the clinic

James : the instructor is really rude, didn't even bother to help

I was so lost in his face that I didn't even bother to listen to what he had to say

At home ~~

I got home and laid down on my bed, my ankle still aching, and thought to myself, 'Do I like him?'

Since I had nothing to do, I Binged to some Netflix while the excruciating pain in my ankle took over me

It's funny how one can catch feelings just by one of the simplest acts
