《Predator(KnY×reader!!Ghoul)》Chapter 05: Headquarters

Y/n simply watched how everything went down there from the roof. Bored while she spectated how they would decide on what to do with Nezuko.
The people called Hashira. Some higher ranked demon slayers who doesn't look as impressive as how they sounded from the eagle who explained who they are. They looked... normal? Somehow there's something about them that is quite intimidating but she just didn't have the heart to point things out just by staring.
Tanjiro was trying to explain things about his sister, she had not consumed anybody nor will she in the future, giving Y/n a little proud nod from this boy's bravery.
Soon, a silver haired male appeared, throwing the box where Nezuko stayed harshly and started gruffly speaking that she should be killed.
By now, the show is boring. Y/n would step in if necessary since she's technichally invited on this meeting as well. And she felt this slight care towards how discriminant they were towards that child in the box. The same way how some ghouls like that young Hinami whose parents were killed.
"Well, where's the other one?" A blonde male with red details on the tip of his hair asked.
"The girl named Y/n?" Pink hair girl added curiously.
"Well, I met her earlier but I let her go on first when I encountered a demon." Shinobu admitted. "I believe that's her because she had a bamboo haori."
"Is she dead?" Snake boy questioningly inquired.
"Maybe she fled."
Y/n could only chuckle silently from the inquiries. She didn't care at all since it's ridiculous. She just got lost, helped out by killing small fry demons on the sidelines and fled after the fight since she's hungry.
They can't even sense her presense so it seems to prove that they are actually this relaxed inside the headquarters.
The tense atmosphere filled the air. Nobody wants to believe Tanjiro's claims about his sister until he did something. It did not just provoke Tanjiro, but Y/n as well when he stabbed the box hearing that quiet whimper that Nezuko let out instinctively.
With her enraged with what Sanemi had done, she flashed off directly into his direction before Tanjiro could reach him, kicking him right off from the box he stabbed which lead him to fly off, trying to catch his footing on the ground. But it wasn't enough for her, actually appearing in front of him again but was stopped by Obanai, who tried to pound on her. She jumped off, a couple of 360 in the air before trying to kick off the snake Hashira in desperate need to give a blow on Sanemi.
The three sparred. Two versus one but her speed could keep up with them as well. Her body lightly landing on their body and when she gets hit, she disregard the pain and continued to attack. The other Hashiras watching them were almost amazed by her strength, actually being able to finally land a serious hit on Sanemi's stomach and a side kick on Obanai's jaw.
Successfylly finishing to do her goal, she simply jumped off back to protectively cover Tanjiro and the box. "Don't you even dare lay another hand on my cinnamon rolls, or I'll bite your hands off. Literally!" She threateningly said, her aura emmiting something deadlier than a twelve moon demon they've encountered.
No less, it made them more on edge.
"That's actually Y/n." Shinobu recognized, seeing as her white bamboo Haori fit the description.
"The coward who fled from the fight--"
"Coward my ass. I was just lost." She hissed.

"What's her crime? Why is she here?" Renggoku asked, staring at the girl who still emmits a murderous aura.
"We have yet to discuss it with Oyakata-sama." Mitsuri replied.
"Maybe because she's one of the people who helped hide this demon." Sanemi says which the hashiras thought that was a possible idea.
She simply huffed from their kiddie speculations. She knew why. Because she's not a real slayer and she eats humans and demons alike--credits to the talkative bird that keeps on following her.
Soon after, the so-called Oyakata-sama appeared. They all bowed in front of him, but Y/n, not really on the respectful side of things, stared at him with a raise of an eyebrow.
"Thank you all for coming." The soothing calm voice says he was inside the shade of the house. It sounded delicate and weak which made her wonder if he's the boss of these slayers.
They started to argue about the punishment for the so called Giyuu and the endgame of Nezuko. Tanjiro tried his best to protect his sister but to no avail was rejected by close minded Hashiras.
A letter was then read out about a reassurance that Nezuko will never eat humans and if she ever do so, they will commit seppuku.
Still it wasn't enough for the hot headed white haired male, wounding himself as he pushed Y/n away from the box and let his blood drizzled.
Y/n, who was sure that Nezuko will be fine, simply observed the events, hands on her chin. "You're actually a marechi? Too bad, you're not very appetizing." She muttered nonchalantly.
"Shut up!" Sanemi barked.
Obanai told him that demons doesn't come out of the sunlight so silver haired decided to throw the box on the house and let his blood flow inside the hole.
Tanjiro tried calling his sister, his attempt to go after her perished when the snake man pounded to his back, crushing few more bones. Y/n frowned, kicking the man off of Tanjiro with contempt to pull out her Kagune and kill him. But he was able to deflect the attack with his arm as he jumped away. The snake in his neck hissing.
"I told you not to lay a finger on my cinnamon rolls." She coldly reminded. Tanjiro ran toward the side of the house while watching his sister stood and stared at the silver haired.
But Nezuko quickly turned away in disgust. One that Kagaya's child explained.
The case of Nezuko not eating human was solved and they discussed more about Kibutsuji Muzan. How only Tanjiro was able to recognize him.
After the agreement with Tanjiro and the others, the medics has now came to claim Tanjiro and the box while the H/cnette girl remained staring at the boss.
Her arms crossed while the eagle landed on her shoulder and screamed idiot. She quickly grabbed its neck before letting it fly off towards Oyakata-sama. He petted the eagle kindly before facing back at her.
"So, can you leave me alone now?" She started. Everyone looking at her confused.
"Indeed, Tori complained a lot about your personality."
She hissed. "You think I came here for a friendly chat. That eggshit keeps bugging me. I might kill it someday."
The smiling calm male let the eagle fly off. "The reason why I called you here is to actually ask you to officially join the demon slayer corps." He explained.
"You've overworked me enough for the passed two weeks, having me kill demons every night and then sending me to a spider mountain to kill small fries. Let's not even mention how I became a draft horse for a couple of months because of you and that eggshit." She complained.

"Do not be disrespectful to Oyakata-sama!" Sanemi scolded, more like threatened.
"Have you not gained anything from being a slayer?" However, the unfazed boss replied.
The girl sighed and crossed her arms irritated. "I did but I've paid more than what I can get. Besides, demons doesn't really fill my appetite." She replied.
"You also get to have information, Y/n. Doens't that count as well?"
"I can get that on my own even not being a slayer, you know." She sighed.
"What if I can help you with your search? A crimson shrine that lits up with red lanterns and blue ghostly fires engulfing hundreds of torches, isn't that correct?" He described.
Her brows twitched. "I've been tracking it for seven months. How sure are you when I myself can't even find it?" She asked.
"Forgive my interruption, Oyakata-sama. But what is this that you two are talking about?" Renggoku asked curiously, everyone seemed to have the same question as him.
"Forgive me for letting everyone out of place. Allow me to explain the situation." The man said nicely. "Apparently, I was told that she is not from this place and time. Nor even from a world like this. She took the uniform from a dead slayer and I allowed her to roam, insisting to go on a mission to slay demons and at the same time, gather herself some information about the shrine she search for." Everyone were shocked from the revelation of her origin, shifting glances from her the towards their esteemed leader.
"Hah. So that bird has been your little spy, huh? That's fucking clever."
"Yes. Which is why I'm asking you to become an official member and help us defeat Kibutsuji Muzan."
"And why do you think I can do that?" She asked back.
"You defeated one of the lower moons with one strike not even using any breathing technique." He revealed.
"What?!" Everyone, including her screamed questioningly.
"Wait! You sure? I never heard anything about lower moon from that eggshit. Only when he told me to go on the spider shits did he mention about it." Y/n tried to explain. "I never defeated any big shots!"
"That's where you're wrong, Y/n. I told Tori(the eagle) not to inform you, but the last demon you defeated before coming in for back up was a twelve moon." He explained.
"You tricked me? What if I got killed?!" She asked in disbelief. This man! Seriously!
He still smiled. "But you didn't. I heard, you effortlessly entered his territory without getting caught by the illusions of his demon blood art and beheaded him all within a minute effortlessly."
"Shit." She held her forehead stressed. "Is that all? If so, I'm pretty busy."
"Y/n." He called out again. The girl looked at him, feeling strangely obedient to his calm call. "I ponder that you understand that we need your strength. Is it your origin that's keeping you from joining us?" He asked.
"Not really." She replied. "I don't really care if they find out. The only reason I came into this world was because of a stupid marechi that came to my nose."
"As I've said, we will help you to find what you're searching for. So please, join us. I just don't wish for Kibutsuji to find you and make you join his number." He finally admitted.
"I'd make a good twelve moon."
"As much as you'd make a good Hashira."
She hissed from all his rebut. "Go on. State your conditions." She sighed defeated. She can't really roam free now that Kagaya had found out her malicious appetite. If she quit playing slayer, she'll be hunted like a demon and that well be very bothersome.
Satisfied, the weak man smiled at her. "All the time, you must stay with a Hashira." He started. "You must only have your meal on the ones that will no longer return." He continued. It left the Hashiras confused but Y/n understood that he's restricting him to eat live humans.
"Well if you insist. I prefer a marechi tho." She replied casually.
"We will wield a nichirin sword to your liking, offer you new uniform that would suit your size and you may keep Tori with you."
"I hate this bird." She nonchalantly replied. "He's talkative and irritating."
"All the birds I have are the same as him. Please do bear with him since he's worked with you longer than the other."
The eagle now landed on her shoulder which she didn't care much.
"I believe, it's the only one who can put up with your... aura."
She sighed, raising her hand as if surrendering. "Then, have you had any lead on what I'm looking for?" She asked.
He nodded. "It's a legend I heard. The gateway that you seek appears every half a year. People calls it demon festival, where as, demon's strength are rampant the most. During these times, a demon shrine appears and takes a marechi as its offering." He paused. "You said you followed the Marechi coming here, right? Did you see the demon eating it?"
She blinked twice. Her head pondered with different equations and logical explanations before she opened her mouth to speak. "You're not saying that the demon who's eating the marechi was the same demon who opens the gateway, right?" She asked.
"I belive it is possible." Kagaya smiled. Dafuq! Are you so happy about my situation?!
"Did it appear after six months again? Like... last month?" Y/n tried to build up her hopes. At least to get herself a way back!
"I have no news of it's appearance eversince three years ago, Y/n. Only I was able to hear it again when you asked around about it." He replied. "But what happened to the demon you met on the shrine, Y/n?" He asked.
She pursed her lips. She killed it and stile his food. Fuck! "Things happened. Self defense. Dead." She said looking sideways. Of course that was a lie. She killed it tonl steal his meal.
"So, you killed it." He was still smiling, not really mocking but just neutral. But that irritated her more!
"If I knew I should've ressurected it. Oh yeah. That Mustang can make another demon like that, right?" She asked.
"It's Muzan, Y/n-san. But it's so cute when you mispronounce his name with your pretty voice." Mitsuri murmured.
Y/n looked at her weirdly before looking back to Kagaya in wait for the answer she needs. He sighed and nodded. "I think he may be able to do it in some certain conditions as well."
"Certain conditions? Again..." she grunted. "Fine. I'll swear uh... allegiance. In exchange I want some snack to restore my enregy." She smiled.
"Have I not said that you'll only feast on those who can never return?" It left the hashiras really confused of why Oyakata would say something really bizzare.
"Yeah, yeah." She muttered like a spoiled child. "Compensate me with coffee. At least its not morbid, right?" She asked.
He smiled again. "Of course."

Notice: Updates are set to every other day. Or to be precise every 2-3 days. Thank you! "The theory of evolution was introduced by Charles Darwin and it baffled the world. Going by the same principle as Darwin's theory all living organisms by nature are capable of evolution to an extent. Evolution in games are always just limited however this is not a game but rather reality. However the only thing that stagnates the whole premise of evolution is the environment. Environment is always the number one factor of evolution. Going by that logic. Stimulation for survival is needed to evolve and better suit the environment. " - Titus
