《Predator(KnY×reader!!Ghoul)》Chapter 02: Meeting the Trio

They started walking around the house. The noise was making them feel uncomfortable as somewhere in that room began to lash screams of anger.
She held the childrens' hands, feeling the cold tremor in their every being as they walk into the sinister halls. Y/n paid no mind to it, making sure that she's alert enough to kill a demon who might come in.
"I'm scared." The little girl cried.
"Hush now child. Don't worry, I may not look it, but I'm a pretty strong slayer." She assured confidently.
"Really?" The girl sniffled.
Y/n stopped from walking, kneeling down to face the girl with an accomodating smile. "Yup! This big sis has defeated a lot of demons!" She coaxed her with the achievements she has. "And if you two are brave, I'm going to show you my parrot!"
"A parrot?" The boy was curious as to the mentioned bird.
Of course. It wasn't a parrot but a badmouthed stupid eagle. What's the difference anyways?
Along the long hallway, the girl heard a strong slam on some random room again, echoing on each corner of the area. A smell of 'unpleasant' blood seeping through her nose made her face looked sour.
That smell was of a killed demon. She could be certain of it knowing how the strong disturbing smell suddenly fainted away from the background like it didn't existed... the same thing happened to demons she ate, that in order for the flesh to stay still, the demon she feeds on must remain alive, or else, it's nothing but a smoke dust drifting away from her teeth.
And if it were ever of ghoul's or human's, she would have the smell longer if she was inside that house.
"M-miss? Are you okay?" The little boy on her left called out when she stopped in daze.
The call pulled her back to realization and turned to the boy as quickly. Giving a carefree facade, smiling calmly to him and squeezed his hand that she was holding securely.
"Sure kiddo. Big sis is as cool as cucumber!" She assured.
The two children were still in a bit of doubt about the woman's state of mind, but when she smiled with such angel lìke appearance, everything felt fine and they could clearly sought the protection around the hold of her silky hands.
They smiled, continuing to stride through the exit until they were able to see the sliding door to freedom as its side peeked rays from the sun of the outside world.
However, out there, another scent made its way to touch her nose. Blood again. Now fresh and stable. A human's, to be exact.

The two children happily ran their way into the door, opening it but soon stopped from the sight that came before them. She followed suit afterwards, drawn by curiosity until she saw what's going on... a boarhead beating up a mophead who was protectively hugging a little box the size of his torso.
Y/n blinked twice. Still trying to process the scene befalling her before she understood the situation. Another kid--who has the striking resemblance to the two rescued children she has-- was trying to stop boarhead in horror.
"P-please, stop!" The little girl screamed, joining his brother from stopping boarhead.
Well, this seems to be a bad kind of situation for a family reunion for the siblings.
The smell of blood kept tugging strongly into her nose. It's already bad enough that she could smell a marechi, a corpse, and now a beaten up idiot. She's not hungry, but she's craving for a snack at the moment.
"Hey, Peppa!" The girl called out in irritation. The boarhead ignored her, earning an irritated look on her pretty face. She clicked her tongue, walked towards him, raised her own feet and did an arc kick to his right waist. The strong impact made him rocket away rightwards, slinged and hit a tree (an acorn fell into his head).
The audience were stunned by the sudden violence from her. But she shook it off, dusting her hands like a side way clap as if those were the ones that hit him, flipping the locks of h/c hair on her shoulder to her back before putting both hands on her waists.
"Didn't you hear that demon slayers shouldn't raise their weapons to their fellow slayers?" She asked. Of course, that was made up! How would she know the damn rules when she's not technically a part of it.
Boarhead started coughing from the pain, wobbly standing up while holding the two swords in his arms. "Fight me!" He shouted, suddenly energized like nothing happened to him just now.
The girl tilted her head. "No." She replied quickly.
"Who cares about what you think?! I can just force you to fight, weakling!" He screamed, running towards her in full throttle resembling a wrecking ball ready to destroy a house.
She hummed. "Peppa, that's against the human rules." She replied blankly, one foot stepping back and a hand near the hilt from the blade sheathed on her belt readying to draw her sword as he approached.
But...
Just a meter before he could reach her, a male with rather dark red hair blocked him with a punch on his rib. The girl twitched, hearing some bones cracking into pieces down there as he once again flew.

"T-Tanjiro?!" The yellow-orange mophead cried a call towards the said boy who was now in front of her.
"What are you doing?! Raising your weapons against fellow corps is against the rules!" He scolded, both anger and worries obvious in his voice.
She hummed. "So, there is really a rule like that." She nodded to herself.
Soon the redhead was the next one to argue against the boarhead while Y/n joined the four who were watching the commotion on the sidelines. The eagle landed to her left shoulder while she crossed her arms. But then, a little bird landed on her right shoulder and a crow on the top of her head which she just allowed to.
They watched how it turned out. Boarhead losing his consciousness from the headbutt the Tanjiro boy did. She herself empathetically felt the pain when their head hit each other with a crack.
Her nose once again filtered a sinister smell. Her eyes searched the four living individual beside her, until her eyes landed on the box, the mophead was hugging protectively.
She hummed again, facing back to Tanjiro who's now coming their way. His eyes, softly looking to the four, until it turned questioningly to her.
"Are you okay?" He asked her.
"Why ask me?" She asked. Now feeling the uneven heave of the birds that landed on her. "This bird yours?" She asked, pointing to the puny one on her right.
"Th-that's mine." Mophead claimed nervously which she turned to.
"That so." She hummed. "That means..." she pointed up to her head where the crow landed. "This is yours?" She asked him.
Tanjiro sweatdropped. Nodding in response. "Y-you're a slayer as well?" He asked. "Are you with... Peppa?" He pointed towards the unconscious boarhead with an unsure taste of the name he mentioned in his mouth.
Y/n laughed from his innocent ignorance, before shaking her head. "No... and Peppa's just a name for a certain pig I used to know. I doubt he even have an English name." She explained.
"A pig you used to know?" Tanjiro was troubled by this idea, but decided not to further pry into her personal matters. "Since the demon is now killed, I was planning on having a burial for the people who were killed in the house. Would you care to join us?" He asked.
"Wait, you're going back in?" A cowardly cry was heard behind them, turning towards the said male who stood up after the commotion ended.
She let out a small sigh, ignoring the blonde's complain. "Yeah, sure. I'll go check how Peppa's doing and I'll follow ahead."
Redhead smiled. Nodding appreciatively before entering back to the house and collected few bodies. The children helped out with the digging and she joined as well, having some hidden bite on some bodies she carry with her. They didn't question her about the blood on her clothes, since she carried bloody corpses out, and both parties are satisfied: the redhead being able to collect bodies and Y/n having to be full after her snack.
Later on, Peppa woke up and started running amok through the demon slayers around. His face now revealed to be a face of a cute woman but a mind and body of a musclehead. And after a few kind and caring innocent words from Tanjiro that he took in as a provocation and a punch on his pride, he began to help out in gathering the bodies as well in order to reclaim his 'ability'.
"Thank you for your help, everyone." Tanjiro said nicely.
Y/n yawned, feeling full after her snack. "Yeah sure." Birds began to gather around her again like a landing spot.
"Uhmm, did you happen to just pass by here and help?" The boy suddenly asks her.
"You could say that." She waved the birds off of her as they started flying off.
Redhead smiled lightly from her response. It surprised her that someone here actually reminded her a lot of Kaneki's past sympathetic face but she shrugged that thought. "I'm Kamado Tanjiro, it's nice to meet you." He introduced.
"Quite the tough nut, aren't ya. You even gave Peppa some concussion." She sighed. "I'm L/n Y/n. I came here as an emergency back up while I'm on my way to Wysteria house." She explained.
"Oh... thank you." The boy replied nicely.
"Yes, of course. My job, i guess." She shrugged.
"I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu, it's nice to meet you, Y/n." Now blondie introduced with a more confident smile.
She smiled back. "Your bruises seems bad. You should have a check up soon." She replied.
His eyes shone from her sudden show of concern to his well-being. Suddenly kneeling on the ground as he grabbed one of her free hand. "Please, marry me!" Was what he said...

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.

Obstinate Han
A power progression fantasy with a main character who trains constantly but who lacks purpose, direction, and motivation. The world he lives in, however, is not a peaceful one. As obstinate as Han can be, with all of humanity edging slowly towards annihilation, will he truly be able to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of the deities fighting over his new universe? This story is a slow burn rather than a fast paced action/adventure, and is centered around the perspective of a main character who struggles with depression, apathy, anhedonia, and asociality. This world was doomed well before he arrived, and he knows it. Rather than following the traditional hero model, he just wants to train for its own sake, and to scrape out occasional moments of happiness in a ruined and dying world.
