Evening lights.
Tokyo has never been dark to the eyes of its residence. Each city never lacked the touch of technology and in every street completely devours the darkness with street posts and cars.
It was a beautiful place.
However, masked with the darkness no one expects hidden in the alleys. The bloody hunt also began.
The whites on her eyeballs began to be infiltrated with blackness as little red roots spread out through the sides of her eyes. Her irises became sharp golden yellow, shining even in the shadows of the night.
She was the perfect example of a predator.
The famous monsters from humanity: Ghouls.
"Y/n. How many times have I told you to never ever come out alone." The male voice called in both anger and frustration as he appeared behind her in the alleys.
She turned around. Half her face hidden in a black face mask, her h/c hair hidden in a hoodie that a simple, brief and casual look on her would be harder to recognize. Only her yellow predator irises were strikingly eye catching if they were to be in a crowd.
"I don't need your permission. And stop following me." She placed her hands on her hoodie pocket as she walked deeper into the alley. "I'm hungry."
"Weren't we providing you enough supply?" The male said in irritation.
She scoffed. "They weren't appetizing."
"We've been hunting them according to your standards." He emphasized.
She hummed apathetically. "Then my taste has changed. I want something rare." She told him.
He scowled. "Dammit Y/n! Eto already warned you that you were recognized by the doves! If you keep on being stubborn about this, Tatara will be locking you into the basement floors." He jumped farther, landing in front of her in order go block her way.
"Why would I follow orders from those assholes? You think I'm part of Aogiri?"
"I don't know why they are protective of a bitch like you. But I'm just doing my job!" His bluish purple hair shifted as he stomped behind her.
She stopped, turned around to face the young man. Leaning close to his also masked face and gave short pats on his head. "Ha. Such an obedient little pup." She said in a rather mocking way.

"Shut up!" He slapped her hands off his head.
"Hooo~ brats these days are so aggressive."
"I can't put up with your annoying stunts. Just wait till I kill you!" He barked.
"An angry ghoul is a ta~sty ghoul. How about I eat some flesh of yours instead?" She asked. "Your pretty lean and healthy. Your young, fresh and a pure virgin blood."
"Dammit, you weirdo cannibal. I can't put up with your facking facade. Can't you just make things quick? Or are you trying to delay everything on purpose?" Ayato looked away, half glad his mask was there to hide the embarrassment when he called him pure and a virgin.
"Kid, you talk like my first dinner dish." She said in distaste.
Ayato hissed. Sure enough, it was her mother she was talking about. "Just make it quick so we could go back to the headquarters."
She waved, flipping the hair on her shoulders to her back with a defeated sigh. Her head already hurts from the boy's continues nagging and it irritate her more that they gabe her a weakling for a body guard.
An SS rate ghoul being guarded amd nagged all night by some low rate brat. Hah. Who would have imagined?
Well, it's fairly reasonable. She could just leave the brat as bait for future reference.
"Ah. Look at that." Y/n softly pointed over a ghoul whose having a meal.
Ayato turned to the mentioned, uncaring whoever it was. "What about it?"
"He's eating a cancer patient."
The young male didn't waver. "How do you know?"
"The smell." She tapped a finger to her nose. "The smell of medicine used-- ah, I smell something pleasant." She paused, turning towards a certain direction in the alley.
Releasing her Kagune, she jumped side to side on the building walls catching the young man off guard. Releasing his Kagune as well to catch up to her. But when he was up on the roof, traces of her disappeared.
"Fuck. I lost her!" He started jumping around to see any signs of her. But as she was camoflauged with the darkness in her black clothing and then blending it through the shadows of the evening, she's most likely be the hardest to find.

The boy hissed after hours of search. Once she's out of sight. She's most likely be the type of person who never really knows how to return. Because behind all his profanities and complains. He couldn't help but feel the nauseating feeling of her never appearing again. He could feel his stomach flip just thinking about it as possibilities of her started troubling his head.
What if she was caught by the doves?
What if she encountered a stronger cannibal?
What if she got killed somewhere?
The smell of a tasty flesh caught her in daze not realizing that she was somewhere unfamiliar.
Of course it is unfamiliar.
She was just in the city buildings couple of seconds ago. She continuously tailed the smell until she passed through an old traditional japanese house and then into the woods.
She looked around still sniffing the delicious scent until she was faced by a foreign back. It was a bulky male physique but she could tell that his skin was red to the point that it didn't even look real, his head low but it was moving. The sound of chewing and rippling flesh can be heard. Blood heavily soaked the grassy ground.
"Hey pal. What'ya got there?" She called out casually, fixing her facemask to properly hide her face.
The creature gave no response which naturally pissed her off. Walking forward and then kicking him to the side. The hit caused it to flew sideways, rolling a couple of times before landing on the ground on its face.
The smell of flesh was stronger.
"That marechi is mine!" The beast roared, running forward to attack her.
Hands still on her hoodie, she gave the beast a round kick. He flew back again. But now was able to hold into his common ground.
"So tell me. What's a marechi?" She asked curiously.
She turned to the mouthwatering meal(corpse) beside her, sitting like a thug and dipped a finger on the flesh before pulling down her mask and licked the blood.
"Shit, this is good." She praised.
"That marechi is mine!" His double voice exclaimed.
The man once again tried to attack. But on cue, releasing her wing-like ukaku at the same time a pair of long razor tails slithered down the wings and instantly decapitated the demon which was her rinkaku.
For the last time, Y/n turned towards the lopped head. Her glowing golden eyes turned to it without remorse. Her hand dripping with the blood from the meal she stole smiling while she licked the extent of blood from her pulse.
"Sorry pal. Don't care who you are, but your food is rather tasty than the ones they're giving me." She said while the creature started turning into some dust. "It's kinda actually your fault that you didn't hide it well... I mean--shit, dude. Are you evaporizing? Some kind of vampire?" She said wide eyed.
"My... ma... chi..." his faint voice said the last words as he completely disappeared.
The girl stared at the empty space where it disappeared from. It was a real wonder.
"Fucking hell? Is this one of Kano's experiments?" She asked, shrugging in disgust as she decided to just put it in her mental note, faced the marechi thing he's eating and fill herself up to the meal she stole.
She knew sooner or later, Ayato will find her and drag her back to the headquarters before the her two guardians come back.
Well tonight she has no regrets. Because the corpse she's feasting was very, very tasty.
"Make it quick, Kid. I might as well share this marechi thing with you." She muttered, feeding through the body hungrily.
Maybe I should save some for Shu as well. I want him to cook a dish for me...
"Wow. When did I became a food enthusiast?" She shook her head.
As one of Kano's masterpiece, her body was tweaked to weild two Kagune. At first it was hard to maneuver her gear. But as she tried to deny her weapons, the more uncontrollable they became.
It was really hard. Not after the doves caught her, tortured her until the brink of death again and again until she was saved by Aogiri.
Now that she think about it, she wasn't always so arrogant. Yet in order to protect herself, she just had to have some attitude.

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
