I made my way towards my locker taking everything I needed out. I sighed and closed the locker making my way passed people. "I hate school.." I thought as i made my way to my first hour. Math,Yeah!~Note sarcasm. "Who made math anyways? A no life idiot who wanted to make my life fucking complicated that's who!!" i angrily shouted in my head. I stood in the door way,and noticed the usual routine going on. Girls flirting with the jocks, which they will never have a chance with. Jocks acting interested in them when really they want them to shut the fuck up. Then the nerds doing last minute extra credit work.Lastly the freaks, which consist of only me. Standing awkwardly in the door way. No friends, no life. Forever alone! What a fucking great way to live. I sighed once more and made my way to the back of the class, watching the floor to make sure I'm not tripped. Sadly, walking without interruption never happens for me. I was so close too, but Mr.I'mSoBIgAndBad had to fuck it up! He grabbed my arm and tugged my sleeve so i'd fall, which I did. My books sprawled out onto the floor. I scrambled to gather them up.Everyone laughed, and I mean EVERYONE! The nerds,Girls,Jocks, the extras no one cared about. They laughed.
"What do you expect from then?Help? Don't make yourself laugh!" I let my self think as i gathered up my things and retreated to my desk.
The final bell rang loudly as the teacher made his way into class. The teacher smiled and began taking attendance.
"Jeff?"
"HERE!"
"Mary?"
"PRESENT!"
"Rain?"
I looked up and raised my hand indicating that I was Rain and was present. He scanned the room his eyes landing on me. He smiled, "You're Rain I presume?". The people around me began to snicker, thinking it amusing. I ignored them and shook my head yes. He then began resuming reading off the list. Until finally attendance was done. And the HELL of the class MATH began. I groaned in frustration not understanding why X=Y, if it was an X!!! I sighed, defeated by Math once again. "Math-1,Me-0." I thought to myself, a smile playing on my lips. Suddenly the bell rang ending the horrid math class! Everyone quickly gathered their things and hurried out of class. I waited as they all left and began to gather my things. I made my way out the room and into the hall way until...SMACK! I fell backward drooping all my stuff. I stood and looked up and saw no other then...Mr.I'mSoBIgAndBad and his little friends. He smirked evilly down upon me.

"Well, hello little Fagot." he bellowed in my face. So closed I could smell his putrid breath.
I said nothing to him acting as if he was not present.
"I said 'HELLO' !" He yelled pushing me harshly back onto the floor, "When someone says 'hello' you answer!", with that said he began to kick me viciously in the ribs.I cried out in pain and made myself as small as I could protecting my face from the blows.
He's friends snicker.
"If you ask me to stop I will lil' Fag!", he grabbed me by the hair and pulled me harshly to my feet. I began to whimper in pain, begging silently in my head for someone-anyone to find and help me.
"Looks like the lil' fag wants more!", one of his friends laughed,as he knelt down to my level griping my chin tightly-looking me straight in the eyes.
I watched in utter horror as he grabbed a pocket knife from his pocket. I struggled trying to break the grip they had on me, but I was to weak.
He laughed," Aww, are you scared?"
I shook my head tears and bloody running down my face. He lead closely to my ear and whispered "Good..."
Before my mind could register anything I felt the first cut. Right below my left eye directly across my cheek. I cried, but he didn't stop. Cut after Cut. Till I was bloody and exhausted. He and his friends then dragged me to the locker rooms, leaving me alone.
"Wash off faggot," he hissed, "And don't you even consider telling anyone what happened or who done it. Or else..." he and his freindsthen proceded in leaving snickering all the way out untill the door closed with a thud. I waited, and began to wash all th blood of.
I sighed "Im pathetic".
I quickly gathered my belongings and made my way to class, praying I'd last the rest of the day.

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized

Dana and The Legend of Apollo and Daphne
She is the reincarnation of a Greek god's former lover. Did anyone bother to tell her? No... at least not until the god shows up at her door.I couldn't explain his features any way besides perfect. He was probably the most handsome man I had ever met. Something about him was familiar, as though I had known him for years. One hand still grasping mine, he moved his other into my hair, stroking softly. His warmth surrounding, his touch calmed me.I couldn't move. I could barely breathe. My mind was blank. It was like nothing I ever felt before. I was lost in his eyes, in his warmth, in the feeling that I was safe. At that moment I wished to stay forever. I also knew better than to remain here. However, my muscles went numb under the warmth of his hands. I couldn't move.I layed there him stroking my hair in shock for what in my head felt like forever. Eventually, he leaned down and spoke into my ear making my whole body shiver."My dear, I have waited for this moment for years," his voice was beautiful, strong and warm. Like the wind on a summer day. He had humor in his eyes and I found it extremely unsettling. There was something off about his tone. Almost like I was dreaming, but I knew it wasn't one. Something powerful and dangerous was in his voice... Ohhh no! This wasn't some random mortal standing over me. This.... this... this was a god...Credit to Rick Riordan for building such a wonderful world to put stories into and creating some of these amazing characters.
