I hate this feeling. Why is it always me?

No. Stop it Gabi.

People cheat. It's okay.

"Are you okay?" He asks, a little fear in his eyes.

I'm not going to shout at him.

"Yes. Good bye, Evan" I stand up placing $10 on the table for my milkshake.

"No. Gabi listen, I have a reason. I was told to-" I roll my eyes walking out of the coffee shop, wearing my glasses on, as he follows me.

"Baby lis-" I stop and turn to him.

"Evan, I'm not a baby. I'm a 23 years old woman. I saw you with her, fucking like this was the end of the world. I understand. You have needs. Don't worry about me" I pat his cheek, as he looks at me dumbfounded.

"Bu-" I shake my head, and walk towards my driver.

"Let's go Adam" I mumble, as he opens the door for me.

I sit inside, closing the door behind me.

"All set, m'am?" I nod and he pulls out of the parking lot.

"You don't have anything to do today. But your parents want you home, miss" he says and I nod.

"Just take me home please" he nods, doing a U turn in the road.

I take my glasses off, rubbing my eyes.

I need a drink.

I've read that it helps to forget things. But then you get a fucking hangover in the morning.

I can live with that.

Why would Evan do that? I gave him everything I could. Except sex.

I would show up in his office for dinner, and then we would go home and spend the day together. He would obviously go home, because we don't live together.

He was perfect for me. I never wanted something big. Just someone who would make me happy. And he did. But I must have done something to make him cheat, right?

Sex.

Is sex everything for guys? I understand they have needs, but girls have needs as well. You don't see me cheating on him just because I have sexual frustration.

"Miss? We're here" Adam calls, opening the door for me.

I get out of the car, smiling at him, slightly, before running up the steps to the mansion.

It was huge. Well it is called a mansion for a reason. But it was what my parents dreamed of.

We would drive by huge houses, when we were younger, and my dad would always say, 'this will be ours one day. One day everything will fall into place' and it did. 10 years ago.

"You tend to space out a lot" I hear my younger sister, Aubrey, say.

I look at her, as she opens the door further for me.

"Morning" I fake a smile, walking inside.

"There's nothing really to smile about, after you hear this" she mumbles walking into the living room.

I look around, noticing the 5 chandeliers leading up to the spiral staircase.

Nothing has changed.

"Gabrielle!" Mom calls.

"Yes mother?" I walk inside, sitting down on the brown leather sofa, opposite them.

"We have some bad news" I nod holding my bag, in front of me.

"We're selling everything." I look up confused at dad.

"Dad? Why?" I ask as mom glares at me.

She's not really mom. She's my step mom.

"Father? Why?" I repeat myself, in the correct lady terms.

According to my mother.

"Your mother and I have retired from work. Mr Knight bought the company. We will be moving to California." I stand up.

"Dad, that's on the other side of the world. You do remember that we live in England. A place that is completely different to America" I exclaim.

"Gabrielle, sit down" mom says and I nod, sitting down.

"Pumpkin, your mother and I are going to Texas and you and Aubrey are going to California. You both will be working with Mr Knight. He was kind enough to give you a place to work." Dad says to me.

"At least he's hot" Aubrey mumbles.

She's always been the more beautiful one. The one that got the boys, while I got the grades.

"You both have $10,000 in your banks. You'll have to spend that wisely because we won't be giving you any more money" mom stands up.

"What? Will I still get my money for the time I worked at the business? 5 years?" I stand up

"Yes. You'll be getting this week's wage. Me and your mother will be leaving today" dad says.

He holds mom's hand and walks out of the room.

I turn to Aubrey, who's looking at her nails.

"I'm not going to live with you" she says looking up at me.

"Why do you think I moved out?" I mumble

I turn around walking out of the house, but dad stops on the steps, looking down at me.

'You'll be moving today as well, pumpkin. I'm doing this for your own benefit. California is a good place. And one of you will be living with-" mom calls him upstairs.

"I'll talk to you later" he walks upstairs.

I walk out of the house towards Adam.

He smiles at me sadly.

"Sorry miss, I won't be working from today, but I can drop you off home" I nod, smiling at him.

"Thank you" he nods opening the door for me.

"To my house please" I say as he sits I the car.

I stare out of the window.

I always wanted to be the girl, that her parents were proud of. I thought that if I worked with my dad, in his business, it would help. I thought that maybe mom would stop treat me like cinderella, before the bippity boppity boo.

I thought that dad would stop seeing me like a workaholic, just like him. I thought that maybe if I help him, he would be able to spend more time with us. But no. He just kept piling work on top of me, thinking I was just there for that.

What I really wanted was to spend sometime with my family. A family that spends all their time on Aubrey.

I'm not jealous of her- okay maybe a little- but she's perfect. She somehow got the brains, along with the looks. She got all the guys, she got the latest things, while I had to earn them. She asked, while I begged.

Now? Now I'm happy that we're moving.

I'll work a proper job. With different people around me.

"Miss?" Adam opens the door for me.

I smile getting out.

"Thank you Adam." I hug him tightly, before walking to my hotel.

London has always been busy but the hotels are great.

I walk towards the elevator, smiling at the receptionist.

I heard that California is always hot place.

I may need something different than jeans.

I'll make this as always new beginning.

A place away from Evan.

I wanted to let you guys know how much I write in each chapter.

A lot of time it varies. I have no limit on how much I write.

I've been working on this book for a week now, and I'm really excited on what I have written so far. Only a couple of chapters though.
