《Alpha's rejected mate》Chapter 30

"Well, It seems like you are the reason my boyfriend is dead." I heard a voice.
We all turned around to see Blake's secretary whatever-her-name-is.
She came inside with a gun pointed towards me. Well, I'm definitely not afraid of her. She is the one who should be afraid, I mean there are four Alphas in this room.
Blake pulled me to his back blocking me from her. Aiden asked," Who are you?"
She faked to being hurt and said," You don't know me... I'm Mary, Ray's girlfriend."
Yes. Now I remember, years back she used to visit Rain when I was kidnapped by Ray for the first time.
She was so sweet and when Ray said that he actually kidnapped me she didn't say anything but when he was somewhere else she said that she will help me. Ray heard it and then she was never allowed to meet me and I thought they broke up.
I said," I thought you and Ray broke up."
She grinned and said," No, we never broke up. We were so in love." Then she frowned," Until, you killed him."
I gasped and said," No, I didn't kill him. It was-"
She said," Dylan, I know."
She continued," But Dylan killed Ray because of you... You Alexandra. That stupid murderer murdered my Ray because he was in love with you. Because of you."
Then she screamed like she was crazy. I heard Hazel say, "She is madly in love with him that she is blind and believes Alex was the reason that bastard died."
Everyone nodded but Rain was human and she didn't hear. Devon whispered," I called the police they will be here soon."

Blake whispered to me while Mary was busy talking about her and Ray," Lexi... Don't you dare do anything? You are going to stay behind me no matter what happens. Okay?"
I nodded because I know if I do something stupid it would hurt my babies.
Aiden was trying to convince her to put the gun down. But she refused.
She said," Don't try to manipulate me. I'm going to kill Alexandra and go. And now as she is pregnant I'm going to kill the babies also."
Aiden whispered," I think she doesn't know that Ray was a werewolf or she won't be stupid enough to walk into a room full of Alphas with a gun that doesn't harm us."
I whispered," You are an idiot. It may hurt the babies."
Blake growled. Hazel said," I agree with Aiden. She doesn't know and Devon stop trying to push me back of you. I can protect myself."
Mary tried to push Aiden to the side but failed and she pointed the gun at him and asked him to move.
He lifted his hands up in surrender while she was distracted Hazel kicked the gun down and pushed her on the floor and Mary tried to fight but miserably failed.
The door crashed open and the cops are finally here. One of the cops thanked Hazel and handcuffed Mary.
There were a lot of cops coming in and going out and Devon gave the gun to the cops and started talking to them.
Blake hugged me and then Aiden.
Why is my life like this?
The cops said they wanted to talk with all of us but Blake made me sit down next to him while I answered the questions.
When the cop asked me how I knew Mary. I looked at Aiden and he nodded at me to tell the story for the human side.

I said," Two years ago her boyfriend Ray kidnapped me from my home and my brother and cousin found me a week later with the police and then he was supposedly dead. And again he kidnapped me around five months ago with the help of my ex-boyfriend Dylan Steve in another town. After three days my husband Blake Knight, my brother Aiden Grey and our friends Devon and Hazel Harrington saved me from Dylan who died in a fire. And Ray and his sister Rain were killed by Dylan and Mary believes I'm the reason Ray was killed."
Blake said the name of all the towns that happened and the cop asked," Did you skip towns?"
I said," No, I first used to live in the same town as my ex-boyfriend and after I broke up with him I left the town and I found my brother Aiden and lived with him. After a few years, I met Blake when he was visiting Aiden for business and we fell in love and got married and I moved in with him. Five months ago there was a business meeting there in my old town so I went with Blake."
The cops asked a couple more questions and left and Blake answered the rest of the questions.
That's when I remembered I didn't tell anyone the news.
I said to Blake," Blake, you are wrong we are not having twins."
He turned to me and checked me up and down and then he bent down to hear the heartbeats and said," Are you alright Lexi? The babies are okay."
I sighed and said," I know that the babies are okay. What I'm telling is we are having babies. But not two. We are having triplets."
His eyes widened in shock and then I heard Hazel gasp hearing this and Aiden and Devon stared at me.
Blake asked," Did you just say three? We are having three babies?"
I said," Yes Blake. We are having three babies."
Everyone congratulated me along with a few other cops who were here in the office.
Blake kissed me and said," I'm not going to let you out of my sight. I love you."
I said," I love you too."

8 192Life is but a Dream
Sometimes, when you close your eyes to sleep, you find yourself in a dream. You may not remember the dream, but for those precious moments, or perhaps seemingly years, that is your life. Yuclaus finds himself rocked to sleep while returning home on a public bus. As he falls into a deep slumber, his heart slowing down, he jerks awake. Where he finds himself is a world full of various creatures, races, mysteries, laws of physics, and creations so fantastical, it could only be a dream. Yet with every person he meets, with every encounter, he realizes how lifelike this world is. He starts subconsciously accepting this as his reality, but is that really wise? No matter how you look at it, this world could be nothing but a dream. Disclaimer: There is a profanity warning. If you are worried about swearing in every dialogue, fear not. In order to capture a character's reaction properly, I felt I needed them to swear. As of now there are three uses of profanity. There are also multiple times a swear word is started, but not finished. For example: "bi—".
8 205Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Trading Card Games aren't quite the same in the virtual world. Cas decided she needed to take some time for herself. No following her best friend, Jupiter, on whatever hair brained idea he had. No jumping into danger in a fantasy virtual world. She wants to get back to basics. And what's more basic than a trading card game? But when you move a card game into virtual space there are some pretty big changes. Add in the natural greed of humanity and there might really be something to this Virtual Reality Trading Card Game. Welcome to Vertigo. Virtigo is a side quest story from The Hub World Series. You do not have to read The Hub World to enjoy Vertigo, but if you would like more with Cas you can check them out.
