'Sorrow floats where my dreams won't'
I have been seeing Anna less and less lately, not wanting her to pick up on anything. Luckily her and Lincoln have been inseparable, meaning she hasn't been missing me around the house as much. I'm missing her like crazy, and even though I can't tell her anything; it still brings me peace being around her.
As I pull up to the driveway a motorbike is parked on the side of the street, I just left Tyson, why would he be here?
Only as I get closer, I realise it's Ace not Tyson. My heart sinks and fear prickles my skin. I try to remain calm as I get out of my car.
"Bella," he says with a smile.
"Ace," I try to smile back.
"Come for a ride with me," he holds out a helmet for me to take. I hesitate, not knowing what to do. "Or we can go inside and see Anna if you'd like?"
I feel the blood leave my face at his words, and grab the helmet. I slide behind him, not knowing where to put my hands. "Hold on," he says and my arms wrap around his waist as he takes off.
We pull up to a large house that has plenty of land, motorbikes line the front, but Ace drives around to the back. This must be the clubhouse. I try to swallow my nerves away as I remember the last time I was around this gang.
We drive into a spacious garage and Ace turns the bike off, before removing his helmet. Then he slowly takes my helmet off, and his fingers tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "You're not going to like why you are here, but unfortunately it's a necessary evil."
I slide off of his bike, trying to stop my legs from shaking, he reaches behind his back and pulls out a gun. My whole body begins to shake uncontrollably. "Hey," he whispers gently. "You are going to be fine I promise." He pulls out the magazine and shows me that it's empty. "No bullets see," he then places the gun to his head and pulls the trigger; I flinch regardless.

"It's all a show for everyone else, but Tyson can't know this; understand?"
I nod my head.
"It won't take long and then you will be on your way home, and I will keep my promise to Tyson and leave you out of this life." He grabs my arm and leads me to a door that leads inside the house.
There are members laughing and drinking, with beautiful girls clinging to some, while other's talk and joke. My eyes scan the room for Tyson but can't find him. Some guy's whistle or cheer as I walk out with Ace, before I see Tyson desperately making his way through the crowed, the fear evident in his dark, coffee eyes.
"Ahh Tyson, good you're here!" Ace says as the other members quiet down and watch what's going on.
Tyson's face has gone from fear to anger, and I know that he is preparing to fight.
Ace steps slightly away from me before lifting the gun to my head. I have never seen such pain in Tyson's eyes before, and my heart crumbles at the sight of him. I desperately want to scream that there are no bullets.
"Choose your brothers or her," Ace says calmly.
I watch as Tyson begins to quickly weigh up all his options, trying to think of a way out of this situation. No doubt he would be thinking if he chooses me, they will shoot us both, if he asks to sacrifice himself, they will still shoot us both. Then I see the look of defeat in his eyes as they fall on me. I mouth the word 'bluff', and then slowly tap my heart twice.
I can tell that he understands, he swallows and unclenches his fist. "I choose my brothers," he says firmly.
Seconds pass before Ace pulls the trigger, I close my eyes automatically, but nothing happens. When I open, I can see Tyson's eyes threatening to spill over, but he manages to keep it together. "Welcome to The Lost Souls," Ace says and the room erupts into cheering as the members swarm around Tyson to congratulate him. Two girls wrap their arms either side of him, but he pushes away from them and begins moving to us.

"Let me see her out?" Tyson asks Ace who gives a quick nod. Tyson grabs my arm and leads me back through the garage, I see him pull the uber app up on his phone. When we get out of the house, he grabs my face with both his hands. "You knew there were no bullets?"
"Yes," I whisper, struggling to find my voice. Then he pulls me to him, squeezing my body so tightly it's like he is trying to mould us into one.
"I can't lose you," his voice breaks.
I nod into his chest, my own tears forming.
"You don't deserve this," he says crying.
A car turns into the driveway, and he pulls away from me before wiping the tears under my eyes. "I have to stay, but I will come to you the second I can."
I nod again, beginning to move away from him but he grabs my hand and pulls me back, crashing his lips against mine. "I love you."
"I love you too," then he opens the door and I get into the car.
As the car drives away, I watch as Tyson helplessly watches me leave, I know that it took everything for him not to get in the car with me. To just run away and leave this life behind. "I need to change the address," I say shakily to the driver.
"No problem," his eyes quickly flick to mine through the revision mirror, but we both stay silent for the rest of the drive, as I quietly sob in the back seat.
We get to my destination and with a quick thank you, I rush out the car and to the front door. I knock until the door opens. "Mum," I sob before throwing my arms around her.
"Bella what's wrong?" Mum asks worriedly.
"Is Dad here?"
"I'm right here sweetie," he calls from behind mum.
"Come sit down and I can make you a coffee?" Mum says with a gentle tone.
"Okay," I sniff.
Dad takes me into the loungeroom as Mum flicks the kettle on. He opens up his arm and I rest into his nook, not being able to stop the tears.
Mum places the coffee on the table and sits on the other side of me, gently stroking my hand with hers. "What is it, Bella?"
I sit up, and aggressively wipe at my tears. "I had an abortion," I cry. "It was when I was with Chad, I thought I could handle it, but the guilt became unbearable. I couldn't even look at either of you- I couldn't handle the judgment and disappointment. I hated myself for so long..."
"Bella, it's okay," Mum rocks me in her arms.
"You don't hate me?"
"Of course not sweetie, we will always love you and support you," Dad wipes at my face. "We just wish you came to us sooner; we knew something was very wrong but you kept pushing us away," he says painfully.
"I just didn't want you to think I wasn't your little girl anymore."
"Bella you will always be our girl, and we will always be here," Mum says soothingly.
I suck in a deep, shaky breath as I feel a weight being lifted from my body. "I'm so sorry I've been distant."
"All that matters is you came to us in the end," Dad says.
I smile sadly and reach for my coffee, taking a long sip. "I've met someone new though...and things are a little complicated but he is the one. You would both love him, he would literally die for me," I don't know why I put that last part in.
"Sounds a little intense," Dad says.
"It is, I have never felt this way, he is teaching me to love myself again..."
"Well, we can't wait to meet him," Mum puts in.
"I will bring him around soon, and I promise I will be here more often from now on."
After spending hours talking to them both, and after we order takeaway and watch a movie together like old times, I fall to sleep with Mum stroking my hair. And just like that, the demons in my mind struggle to hold their place.
