《{ enchanted forest }》11. { the outsider }

Archie's funeral was in a small group of people who he cared about or people that he knew pretty good. Mary Margaret held a small speech for the deceased conscience. Belle was there too as the temporary caretaker of Pongo, who couldn't stop whimpering about his lost owner.
What none of the grieving friends knew was that Archie was very much alive, but held captive on board of the Jolly Roger by Captain Hook. As Mr Gold had been a patient of his for one session, the captain thought that the former cricket could expose the hiding place of his dagger. Only, the therapist had no idea where the thing was buried as they never spoke of it.
"No you don't, do you," the captain says and he leans back after an intense staring battle. He brushes his fingers over his small beard as he says: "It's his weakness. Now tell me, does he have any others?" Archie looks at him with a glare, but beneath that Captain Hook could see that he definitely knew the answer to that question. He grins. "Very well."
Hook lowers his tone to whispers and he leans in to be threatening. "I've always wanted to dissect a cricket." His hook presses against the man's forehead as Archie leans back, gasping "No!"
"Wait. Wait, please!" The conscience battles his own morals as he pants. Hook knows he got him right where he wanted to and exhales. "That's more like it. Now tell me, cricket, what is his weakness?" The conscience swallows.
"Two women," he says quickly. The captain grins. "You can barely call that information, can you? Tell me who they are and where I can find them, or I will know which colour a cricket's blood is!" The man was getting agitated and Archie knows that if he does not tell the truth soon, he will be tortured to death.
"A woman named Belle. Daughter of some king in the Enchanted Forest. She is Rumplestiltskin's love. She just got a job at the library, so she can be found either there or at Gold's side," he rambles. He truly hopes that the captain was satisfied with this information only, but of course the odds weren't in his favor.
"What about the second one, who is she?" Archie presses his lips together in a tight line, damning himself for not lying just one time. At least he would have saved that innocent child if he did. But then, is it fair to rat out Belle when she's been so kind to let them meet Winter? His life was on the line and all he can hope for is that he will be forgiven once this comes out.
"His adopted daughter. A princess in the Enchanted Forest. Her name is.. Winter," he admits. The captain's eyebrows rise on his forehead and his eyes look extremely big with his eyeliner and widened eyes. "Winter? A small girl, around sixteen years old, long brown hair and exquisite quicksilver eyes? Is that her?"
"Yes.. how do you know her?" The captain smirks. So she is here too? Great. How such a sweet innocent girl can be connected to someone so vile and evil is a mystery to him, but a mystery she will answer for.
"Because where you sit now is where she sat too when I took her away from Neverland." He stands up and ties the cricket up so he can leave quickly. It's time to get his revenge.
After Belle had heard about Rumple's fantastic news, that he can now leave town without losing his memory so he can find his son, she goes to the library. She opens the door, closes it behind her and takes a few books from a trolley to place them on the right shelf. When she looks to her left, she sees a man. Completely clad in leather, one hook for his left hand.

What was he doing here? "Uh sorry, the- the library's not open yet," she brings out with a little stutter, afraid he might be able to recognize her from long ago, when she appeared on the docks to ask him for a favor. When she was desperate to get someone back from a place people found impossible to leave.
He looks up and stares right into her soul. "Oh, I'm-" The man closes the book and places it on a shelf without breaking eye contact," I'm not here for the books, luv." "You," she responds," you're the one who broke into my cell at the queen's palace." The man starts to smirk. "Well, that's not really our first encounter, is it Rose?"
She stumbles back. "I don't know what you're talking about?" "You really don't remember? That day when you came to my ship, dressed in rags, searching for your daughter who was, wonder by wonder, stranded in Neverland? That day you promised me a few magic coins for her safe return?"
He steps forward roughly and points to a faded scar from his nose to his cheekbone. "This is what he did to me for taking her, you know? Amongst other things. Such a petulant boy: doesn't like his favourite toy taken from him." It it silent for a second and they stand there, frozen, until Belle decides to run. He ducks left into the aisle of books to catch up to her.
They meet again at the trolley with books. "You wanted to kill Rumplestiltskin," she says. "Oh, I still do, but right now I'll settle for you." He was about to walk around the trolley towards her, but Belle pushes it onto him, trapping him on the floor as she makes a run to the elevator. Just as he was about to enter, the doors shut. She was safe, though his pounding on the door worries her.
Belle reaches for the cellphone that Rumple had gifted her and calls him. They couldn't hear each other because the phone was crackling. She hangs up, knowing it is useless. All she could do was wait for him to arrive.
Which he did. When the doors opened and revealed Rumple, she fell into his arms and hugged him closely. He takes her back to his shop, promising her he would find something to make the pirate stay far, far away from her. And Winter, Belle revealed, as he knew of her excistence in this world. The brunette asks him why the pirate hates the Dark One so much, to which he was hesitant to respond. He told her the story, though he left out a few gruesome details.
They enter the shop, but Mr Gold and Belle were shocked to see what was left of it. Glass all over the floor, antiquities, either broken or damaged, laying all around the shop. Mr Gold immediately goes to check the vault hidden behind the painting and finds Baelfire's shawl missing. "It's gone.. my last way to get away from this town.. all gone," he mutters.
He slams the door back shut and runs a hand over his face. Belle hugs his arm and pulls him away from the case. "Let's not worry about it right now, but first check on Winter. He knows about how much you care for her and.. and she's so vulnerable," she mutters. Rumple agrees and the two hastily leave again.
What they didn't know was that the vengeful pirate was looking at the two through his spyglass, receiving the shawl from his accomplice, Mr Smee.

And as Belle found the knot of some rope, called 'monkey's fist', and retraced it to Hook having come here by his ship, Rumple finds Mr Smee and questions him while choaking him with magic. Mr Smee reveals that he knows nothing about Hook's whereabouts, nor that of the shawl. Rumple was not surprised and he turns the sniveling rat into.. well, a rat.
Back to Belle. She left the library to go look for the man that attacked her where he would most likely be: at his ship. So, she goes to the docks but sees no ship laying there. Just the rimpling water. Ready for a fight, she holds the gun that Rumple gave her in her hand and looks around. She could swear she heard a creaking noise..
She looks around and watches the seagulls, which were flying right above her head. They seemed to circle something and one of them even goes to sit on something invisible. It must be a cloaking spell to hide the ship, which was right in front of her! She takes some bird seed and throws it where the stairs were supposed to be.
Belle steps onto the Jolly Roger's deck and looks around, holding the gun tightly into her hand as she reminices her first time being on board.
"-And remind yourself, the captain of the ship does not like me. In fact, I think he tried to kill me two times. Or was it three? Well, you shouldn't mention me any way," the Dark One explains to his maid, who was binding an apron around her waist and covering herself up with a shawl. She was trying to look as normal and ordinairy as possible.
"But how do I explain how I got these coins," she asks as she looks up at her accomplice in worry. Worry that the captain could see through the lies she would tell as she ties her hair in a bun so the bonnet would fit over her head. Rumple rolls his eyes. "Are you an amateur? Improvise!"
Belle sighs, takes the pouch with the magical coins and puts it in a pocket of her apron. "I just hope this works.. I really want my Snowflake back." A short flash of sympathy runs over Rumplestiltskin's face, accompanied by sadness and a longing to be reunited with the princess that got on his nerves many times too often.
They see a small group of men leaving a tavern, all not able to walk straight or make coherrent sentences. The men were sailors and in their midst was a man that Rumple had pointed out to her earlier: the captain, a man called Hook. Belle takes a deep breath and straightens her skirts. "Here goes nothing," she mutters to herself and she looks up to find Rumplestiltskin for a little bit more support, but obviously, he was gone. Damn that stupid Dark One, she thinks.
She walks up towards the black ship with yellow accents. Belle was soon spotted by one of the crew members, who was straightening his red woollen hood for her. "What is a fine lady like you doing so late on the docks," he asks, shouting down at her from the ship's balustrade.
"I am looking for the captain of the Jolly Roger. He goes by the name 'Hook'. Tell him I have a deal for him he cannot refuse," she yells back. Quickly the man scurries off and a few minutes later he comes back to bring her onto the ship, to the captain's quarters.
The door shuts behind them, locking Belle into the room with the pirate, who looks her up and down during his inspection. He brushes with his thumb and forefinger on his chin as his tongue darts out, wetting his lips.
"What is this 'deal' you were so confident in that it would interest me?" Belle takes a deep breath and steps forward into the light of the candle on his desk. "M-My name's Rose. I am a laundry maid here in town and heard.. stories about your adventures in a land called-" she lowers her tone as she acts terrified, hoping it would work on him to help a 'damsel in distress'," -Neverland."
Captain Hook chuckles. "Well, luv, whatever you heard must be true. But why o why would a pretty woman like you be interested in that," he asks as he stands up and backs her up against the wooden wall. "My-My daughter," Belle splutters, feeling intimidated by the man in front of her, his face so close she can feel his hot breath on her cheek," She was taken by someone and is now trapped on the island with no way to escape. I-I want you.. to get her back with me in this harbor."
The pirate hums deeply. "Hmm, alright, and what would I get in return? I don't like middling into the business of people on Neverland-" "I have coins! Magical coins. You give one of them to someone you're indebted to and create an illusion of any valuta possible. You can hold the illusion as long as you like and when you take it down, it will just be one simple, ordinairy copper coin. My daughter in exchange for a pouch full of them," she begs, her hands digging into his red velvet vest. Belle gives him a sultry look, hoping it would make her case more.. likeable.
The pirate grins. "Alright, those coins will do-," Belle was about to praise him to the heavens, but then he continues," -But when I return with the child, I want you to kiss me." He places his thumb on his lips and runs over them. "Right here."
"D-deal."
"Excellent. I want a drawing of her so I know who to look for. Now, I can imagine the child is terrified and doesn't believe a stranger telling her that he was sent by her mother to get her. Do you have anything of her that she undeniably recognises you for?" Belle grabs to a small bag around her hip and takes two things out. The captain takes a look.
One was a drawing of a very pretty girl, probably around fifteen years old. Her brown hair was long and wavy, flowing down both sides of her shoulder and framing her face. Her eyes were filled in with a grey, most likely silver colour. He takes a look at the second object, which was a simple book.
"A Midsummernight's Dream? Are you sure about this?" Belle looks up at him with a smile. "Believe me, she will recognize it. Now please, bring me back my baby."
The captain grins as he accepts the pouch with copper coins. She then takes a vial with a cobalt blue liquid in it from her dress and hands it to him. "This will make sure no one knows that she's leaving from there. Make her drink it."
Hook bows theatrically. "At your service, Rose."
Emma had taken Pongo from his temporary home at Mr Gold's house, with his permission, for Henry to care for so her would feel less sad. In the meantime, Belle found Archie on the ship, perfectly fine though a bit frightened. She cut him loose, told him to go to Mr Gold and tell him that she was there. Not much time later Belle was looking around for the shawl, but was caught by Hook and threatened with the gun that she lost to him.
He told her the truth about Milah's passing, which shocked her to her very core. But she didn't lose her wits, so when the moment came.. she knocked him down by his own ship, takes the shawl and runs off. She was about to get off the ship when he caught up to her, but Rumplestiltskin was there to help her. She sneaks into the background as the two enemies confront each other.
When Hook asked what magic he was going to hide behind, the Dark One knocks him down with his cane and begins beating the man to death. Belle begs him to stop, but he didn't. She begs more and more, but Hook's taunting results into Rumple choaking him.
"He has to die, Belle." "No! No, he doesn't! There's still good in you. I see it, Winter sees it. We've always seen it. Please.. please show us we're not wrong. After all, doesn't he deserve that bit of kindness for bringing our child home?" Her fear, the gasping coming from Hook's mouth, her begging eyes.. Rumple deserts the body beneath it after some threats and leaves with Belle.
Archie returns home and Rumple and Belle drive to the town border. The shawl was enchanted and Belle drapes it onto him. The Dark One sets foot over the border. Just when they were about to share a farewell kiss, a shot was fired and Belle falls over the border.. unprotected. It was Hook who had fired a shot at her. Rumple was about to avenge her with a fireball when they were nearly overrun by a car, which did hit Hook.
How did that car get into Storybrooke, Rumplestiltskin wonders.

TRX's Adventures
Set during the 1980s, it narrates the daily life of Mathias, a boy with "psychic powers", and his friends, which ends when something happens that changes the course of our protagonist's life. ... This is titled this way because some letters of the characters' names form the TRX of the title... Although there is one character who literally has that name, it is also named after her. Ah, and if some parts sounds a bit weird because of some words, tell me. This also contains some simple drawings made by me. This is going to have a lot of edits, apparently.... And maybe I'll add a couple of stuff. I'll try to make this be good... Or, at least, fun. ... Also, the older version will stay, but it kind of spoils the plot (although it changed in many ways), so if you want to read it before this... Do it at your own risk.
