《{ enchanted forest }》9. { queen of hearts }

Hope was what kept every citizen of Storybrooke driving. Hope to get Emma and Mary Margaret back. Hope to prevent Cora from coming to this land. Hope to get Winter out of her Sleeping Curse. Hope to get back to the Enchanted Forest.
But hope was getting smaller by the time that passes in which the two women didn't came back, Cora was still a threat, Winter was still asleep and the Enchanted Forest still, possibly, destroyed. Especially when the dwarves found out that Regina and Mr Gold had taken all the fairy dust from the mines to prevent Cora from coming here. Or, unfortunate not unfortunate, Emma and Snow White if they were the ones to get through. Which meant that Regina had lied to Henry, who takes it heavy.
Not only that, but in the Enchanted Forest Aurora was still unknowingly in the power of Cora and Hook. She had locked themselves in Rumplestiltskin's jail cell with no way out, either magical or physical. As they all played the famous 'blame game', Snow tries talking faith into Emma. If only Emma wasn't such a pessimist..
For hours they were trapped when Emma comments on how staring at the paper with her name wouldn't help. Snow suddenly jumps up and starts rambling about Cora and her spells. She blows over the parchment and the words wash away like powder. It was the squid ink! The magical ink opens the barrier for them, allowing the four women to step out.
Aurora stops them and begs to be chained up, as she could not be allowed around them with her heart still in Cora's possession. Mulan objects at first, but they agree with the warrior promising to find it for her. Emma tells them that they have to go and Mulan starts to tie the princess up. She wishes them good luck, for which Snow White thanks her.

"When you go to Storybrooke and have found a way to cure Winter, tell her that I will find a way to her. Tell her what happened to Philip, she deserves to know," the princess tells them. "I promise we will, but we really need to start moving now," Emma says. The three leave the cave and so, leave Aurora, to find Cora and Hook and the portal they would create.
They were just in time at Lake Nostos, as Cora and Hook were about to jump in the portal. Snow shoots the compass out of the woman's hand. Cora orders her companion to find it while she deals with the rest, but Emma was making a sprint for it.
Snow and Mulan were fighting Cora while Emma and Hook cross swords in their battle. Almost the satchel with Aurora's heart was lost, but the captain caught it and throws it at Mulan. Snow commands Mulan to go back to Aurora and give it to her, but the latter was hesitant. Though she cares a great deal for the princess, she was not one to abandon her friends in dire need.
Mulan makes her final decision and gives her sword to Snow White, telling her it deflects magic, and leaves in a hurry. While Cora and Snow enter battle, Emma was on her back with Hook standing over her and taunting her. What he didn't notice was that she was taking the compass. She kicks him off, their swords clash one time and she punches him across the jaw with balled fist. He was knocked unconscious and falls to the ground.
After a last epic battle against the evil woman, who tried to take Emma's heart, was blown away by the strength of her love. "What was that," Emma asks as she pants. "That.. is a great object for discussion when we are back home," Mary Margaret assures her. The two women jump down the portal, holding tight onto each other.

Finally going back home.
Back in Storybrooke, Henry had confronted Mr Gold and Regina. The Dark One knocked Ruby out, leaving only the boy to convince them. "Emma and Mary Margaret are going to defeat her. They're the ones that are gonna come through."
"Henry, your mother's right. It's gonna be Cora," Mr Gold says. "No, it won't! Good always defeats evil. You should know that more than anyone," Henry says. "What I know is my mother will destroy everything I love and that means you, and I can't let that happen," Regina says.
"And neither can I. If Cora finds either Belle or Winter, she will hunt them down like animals and use them against me. I can't let that happen," Gold says. The well behind them begins to make loud noises and flashes of light start to come like lightening. Henry was about to run to the well, but Regina holds him back as Mr Gold watches calmly. Henry breaks free and runs to the well, which insides had turned green and started swirling. Regina pulls him away and asks what he thought he was doing. Henry, on his part, tries to tell her how she can still change and needs to have faith in him. His words seem to get through to her and she walks off to the well and raises her hands. Mr Gold was about to stop her, but then Regina took the spell off. Regina falls to the ground and Henry thought his mother and grandmother were dead.
Until.. a hand reaches out. It lifts itself up to the rim and Henry was so shocked that he couldn't be happy when he saw his mom and grandmom climb out of the well. The three engulf in a group hug, Mr Gold walks off and Regina stares at the three, jealousy burning through her body, yet not showing it on her exterior.
Mary Margaret runs off to find David, followed by Ruby. Emma walks over to Regina, having Henry cling around her waist. She mentions about her mother being a handful, to which Regina agrees. All of them go to Gold's shop, where Snow awakes her Prince Charming with True Love's kiss.
Emma talks to Gold shortly after and he tells her that all she did was not because of him, but because of her and that that magic she showed against Cora was herself too. In the Enchanted Forest, Mulan puts Aurora's heart back where it should be and they decide to go on a journey to save Philip, which might be possible according to things Cora told the princess during her prison time with her.
Maybe there was hope after all...
Or maybe not, as Hook had found another way to go to Storybrooke: the magic bean he stole from the giant, which would be back to functioning with the water of Lake Nostos. They were not safe after all..

Murphy's Law
****Story has been dropped for being too dark**** "Anything that can go wrong, will." But what if you know what goes wrong in advance? On Earth, monsters come in human form. Some are ostracized or locked up, but others walk amongst us. They’re more common than one would think and they grow in number the higher in the hierarchy you go. With 1 in 100 people preying on the other 99, eventually, a world trying to summon a hero might end up with a monster that doesn't feel like playing along. _____________________________ The story is my take on some of my favorite genre's and tropes, some of which I have no I idea if they'll work well together. English is not my main language so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please tell me so I can correct them. Criticism and critique are more than welcome:) A chapter every Tuesday.*I do not own the cover image, it's taken from google.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
