Ellie's POV
I woke up and slid off of the bed.
I went into my bathroom and did my business then afterwards I came out of my room.
"Jenna!" I said seeing she was reading at the kitchen table.
"Hey Ellie!" she greets me and sets her book down.
"You've finally woke up" she says.
I gave her a confused look.
"It's 10:30" she says pointing to the digital clock.
I slept that long? Wow for once I slept soundly.
"that's late" I said then my stomach grumbled.
"I'll prepare breakfast for you" Jenna said.
"I go watch Shelly and Sam" I said and I skipped to the living room.
"I am back did you miss me?" I said to the turtles. I got hold of the turtle's food.
I sprinkled it in the tank.
While I was feeding them my stomach felt became more hungry I was getting impatient.
I set the food down and ran into the kitchen.
"Is food ready!" I asked patiently while I situated myself on my booster seat.
"Hang on for a few seconds" she says as she grabs a plate.
I whiff the air and the aroma was.... FRENCH TOAST.
I got excited.
After the long dreadful moments of waiting my breakfast was served.
"Thank you!" I said as I picked up my fork.
"Ellie you're such a young lady" Jenna says sitting across from me.
I think that is a compliment?
"Is that good?" I asked.
"Course, most kids are ill mannered" she explains.
I beamed as I put a piece of the french toast into my mouth.
"So Ellie tell me what you would like to do" Jenna asks.
I pondered for a moment.
"Let's play hospital! I be the doctor" I exclaimed.
"Alright Doctor Ellie" Jenna says.

"Say Ah!" I requested as I grabbed my fork and put my french toast in her mouth.
"Mmhm it tastes good" she says.
"Actually let's make brownies!" I said.
She nodded.
I scurried over to the pantry.
When I looked at the digital clock it was now 11:10.
I guess I took that long to finish my food.
"Ellie what's your full name?" Jenna questions.
"My full name is Eliana" I replied collecting the ingredients.
"That's such a adorable name!" she exclaims.
About an hour later we finally finished making the brownies.
I crawled onto the black couch.
"When is daddy coming back" I whined.
"He hasn't said when but it should be soon I hope" Jenna replies as she switched the TV on for me.
I decided to do somersaults on the couch.
After doing that I reverted to rolling around.
Then I had an idea.
I crawled off of the couch and I made my way into the big office area.
"Ellie where are you going?" Jenna asks as I made my entrance.
"In there" I pointed then I looked around to see what catches my attention.
Nothing seemed out of the ordinary then I heard the door close.
I whipped my head around.
I ran out of the office as soon as I heard the front door close.
"Daddy!" I exclaimed as I saw he was taking his jacket off.
"Princess" he says as he scooped me up.
"Me and Jenna made brownies" I said.
"Did you make any for me?" He asks.
I nodded my head.
"Yes then I watched the turtles then I watched Ruby and Max" I told him about my morning.
"I'm glad you had fun" he says then he sets me down and he looks over to Jenna.
He didn't say anything but the woman just went over to his office.
I was confused.
"Baby girl daddy needs to discuss adult matters with Jenna" daddy said as he planted a kiss on my forehead.
My face felt really really hot.
He never did that to me before.
It made my insides all warm.
I went over to the living room and continued to watch Max and Ruby.

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
