《Devil's Rebellious Queen》Chapter 20

I had a bloody heart attack at what I saw.
"What the...."
Graffiti was painted all over the walls of the hall and living room. Splashes of red, yellow, and orange were extremely prominent to the eyes.
I could make out a few words from it.
'Enzo è stupido' was written in bold fluorescent orange on the walls.
(Enzo is stupid)
"Ti ucciderò, Gianna," I muttered, fisting my hands.
(I will kill you, Gianna)
"Well, they're not wrong," Dante remarked, motioning to the text.
I glared at him and he raised his hands in surrender, chuckling.
I was sure Gianna wrote that. She was the only one who knew Italian.
"Those girls always bring trouble," Dante muttered, looking around the hall in shock.
"XENA!" I yelled, my voice booming through the hall.
Silence...
"YSALINE!" Dante yelled after me.
Again, silence.
"Gianna, Xena, Ysaline!" I hollered out, "What the hell is this?!"
Where were they?
Dante searched for them on the first floor while I searched on the second floor. We both walked down after no luck in finding them.
"I swear to god, they're such a pain in the ass," I said in irritation, rubbing my forehead. Dante nodded along.
I sighed. "Let's check on the first floor one more time," He suggested. I nodded and we walked back up for the umpteenth time.
Wait.
What if she escaped?
No, they can't.
My guards would have informed me.
I opened my bedroom door but it was empty.
"Did you check in the bathroom?" Dante asked.
I shook my head and pushed open the bathroom door, Dante following me, but it was empty.
I was about to walk back when I felt a strong push forward and I fell down. Dante fell on top of me, crushing me with his weight.
I groaned. "Fatso," I muttered, shoving him off me.
"Hey!" Dante yelled, offended.
Then, we heard the bathroom door click.
What. The. Hell.
I instantly got up and tried opening the bathroom door but surely enough, it was locked.
"Having fun, losers?" I heard Gianna ask from the other side.

"Gia! I will kill you!" I yelled, banging on the door as hardly as I could.
"Mhm, but try and catch us first," Ysaline's voice teased.
"Ysaline! I'm going to seriously lock you up in my room if you don't unlock us!" Dante threatened, slamming the door with his fists.
"Aww, I'd love to see you try," She teased.
"Yeah, Enzo. What were you saying? Try to escape, and I will keep you chained to my bed forever, yeah?" Xena mocked, mimicking my voice.
"I will, if you don't let us out," I growled.
I heard Xena chuckle. "
"LET US OUT!" Dante screamed, kicking the door hardly, but then shrieked in pain as he clutched his bruised foot.
"Nah, you guys stay locked up in the bathroom. We girls are gonna have some fun!" Gianna's enthusiastic voice exclaimed. I heard shuffling of footsteps and slamming of the bedroom door.
They left.
"RAGAZZE, VI AMMAZZO!" I yelled loudly, banging on the bathroom door as hardly as I could.
(GIRLS, I'LL KILL YOU!)
After an hour of banging on the door and screaming at them to let us go, our fists were red and swollen and our voices were cracked.
"I'm gonna kill them," Dante muttered in frustration, running a hand through his disheveled hair. I nodded along in tiredness.
Dante and I got into the bathtub, fully clothed, of course, and laid down, making ourselves comfortable.
We were going to be locked in here for a long time...
"NO! DON'T LET HIM DIE!" Gianna yelled, as the 2 lovers parted.
Rose and Jack.
Ah, a tragic love story.
"Stupid, stupid, Rose," Ysaline muttered, throwing bits of popcorn on the TV screen.
"I don't know why love is so important," I remarked, shrugging. Gianna and Ysaline gaped at me.
"Uh, excuse me?" Gia said in disbelief.
"Yeah, I mean, love is just...dumb," I said simply.
They glared at me.
"Love is...dumb?" Gianna repeated what I just said and I nodded. She gasped dramatically and smacked my arm.
"Love is not dumb. It's a feeling no one can explain," Ysaline whispered dreamily, twirling a strand of her light brown hair around her finger.

"Exactly! Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than yours," Gianna added.
I frowned. That didn't make sense. "And why should the other person's happiness be more important than mine? It's my life, not his. My happiness will be my to priority and not his."
"You know, Xena, you are more like a logical person rather than emotional. You tend to follow your brain rather than your heart," Gianna explained.
"So? There's nothing wrong in that," I muttered, crossing my hands over my chest and leaning against the couch.
"True, but once you fall in love, you will enjoy it," Ysaline said with determination.
I sighed. "There's a reason why it's called 'falling' in love. When you fall, you get hurt..."
Gianna smiled softly. "But the surface you fall in matters as well."
I scrunched up my nose. "What does that mean?"
"Look, if you fall on a concrete ground, it'll hurt like a bitch for sure. But, if you fall on a soft mattress, it won't hurt you," she explained, "and in a relationship- in a healthy relationship, trust and respect act like the surface. Weaker the trust and respect, harder the surface of the fall."
Damn, that made a lot of sense.
"Yes, but you don't know how much trust or respect your partner has for you, so the surface of the fall is not predictable. Why take the risk in the first place? I'd rather just play safe and not fall in love. Anyways, I have my business to handle. I don't have time for love and stupid love-struck men," I argued.
Gianna smiled. "That's completely fine. Choosing career over love is totally reasonable. It doesn't make you selfish. It just means that you have different priorities compared to others."
I nodded in agreement.
"But," she continued, "once you fall in love, you'll understand how selfless it makes you."
Ysaline and I gave each other a knowing look. I turned to Gianna with a grin.
"You seem to have a lot of experience in this matter," I said, smiling.
Her cheeks turned pink. "Uh, no-no, not at all," she said quickly, shaking her head.
I raised my brow and intensified my stare at her. This was my trick to persuade people into telling me the truth. *Evil smirk*
Gianna sighed and gave in. "Fabio," She revealed.
Fabio. Why does that name sound so familiar?
Fabio, Fabio, Fabio- Oh! I remember him! He worked for Enzo's mafia.
Yeah, I remember him now.
"So Fabio and you , huh?" Ysaline asked with a grin.
Gianna's cheeks turned red and she hid her face in her hands.
"Yes, well, no. I have a huge, huge, huge crush on him but he never looks at me," She whined.
"Well, start a conversation with him," I suggested with a shrug.
"Yeah, you need to muster some courage," Ysaline added.
Gianna nodded, thinking about what we said. "But even if we both date, Enzo will kill Fabio. Not exaggerating," She groaned.
Enzo was her elder brother so yeah, it's normal for him to be over-protective.
Remembering Enzo and Dante, I giggled.
While Emilio, Dante and Enzo had gone to talk, we girls had sprayed graffiti all over the hall and living room.
We heard them shout our names but obviously we weren't dumb enough to appear in front of them. That would be signing our death certificate.
We stayed hidden under the bed in Enzo's room and when they had gone to check in the bathroom, we pushed them inside and locked the door.
How very kind of us. *Evil laugh*
"Okay, what do you wanna do now?" Gianna asked, stretching her arm.
I yawned. "I sleepy," I whined, rubbing my eyes.
"Same," Ysaline chirped in with a tired look.
"I'm going to sleep as well. For now, let Dante and my dear brother rest in the bathroom in comfort," Gianna teased with sarcasm dripping in her voice.
We all chuckled.
Gianna bid good night and went to her room while Ysaline and I went to a guest room on the same floor.
We laid down and within a second, we both fell asleep, completely forgetting to let the boys out of the washroom.
