《Devil's Rebellious Queen》Chapter 17

"Where's Xena?" uncle Luc asked, walking into his office.

Tante Rylee, Gabriel and I were just sitting on the couch in uncle's office, bored as hell.

"Xena went to the club without us," I grumbled in response.

Xena left Gabriel and me behind and went to the club without informing us.

Ugh.

Meanie.

Uncle Luc nodded and walked towards Tante Rylee. He gently cupped her face and captured her lips with his.

Oh, would you look at that? There's a ceiling in this office!

Oh, and a window as well!

The walls are such a nice shade of black.

The curtai-

"Guys, we're done. You can stop acting like blind idiots," Uncle said with a chuckle.

I cleared my throat and nodded.

"Ysa," He began, sitting on his leather black chair, "What time did Xe leave for the club?"

"At 6 p.m."

"It's been 7 hours...," He trailed off, his protective dad side resurfacing.

Indeed, 7 hours had passed. It was 1 a.m. at the moment, and the night view of Paris from Lucifer's office window was fabulous.

I bit my lip, trying to think of a way to track Xena.

"Her earrings!" I exclaimed, realization striking me late.

Tante Rylee, Uncle Luc, and Gabriel looked at me expectantly.

"Xena's earrings had a tracker! Only we both knew about it!" I explained.

I grabbed Lucifer's laptop and switched it on.

I opened the tracker app and waited.

Waited.

Waited a little more.

'Sicily' popped up on the screen.

My heart dropped.

No.

No, no, no, no, no.

Did Enzo kidnap her again?

Shit.

"Ysa, did you find Xena's location?" Tante asked with desperation.

"Yes-yes," I stuttered, " Sicily."

Silence...

"I swear to god, if Enzo kidnapped her again, I will kill him," Uncle Luc spoke up, a deadly tone to his voice. His grey eyes had turned dark with anger and fear swirling within.

Anger at Enzo. Fear for Xena.

"Uncle," I sighed, "You know Xe. She's strong. She'll manage. I'm booking a ticket to Sicily."

Everyone's eyes snapped towards me.

"A ticket to Sicily? For what joy?" Gabriel asked with exasperation.

"I'm gonna bring Xe back," I replied in a duh tone.

"No," Tante and Uncle Luc said together.

"But," I whined, "Xena's like my sister. I need to save her."

"She's perfectly capable of handling the situation. Plus, Andrew and Alexia would kill me if anything happens to you," Uncle said with a shake of head.

I grumbled but nodded, nevertheless.

"Lucifer," Tante Ryl spoke up, "if Xena doesn't return by the end of 2 days, tell the men to go to Sicily. Start a war, if it means bringing back Xena."

Her tone had turned deadly.

She was usually pretty sweet and kind, but when it came to her family, tante Rylee's bad side could send the Devil running away.

Uncle Luc nodded. Groaning, I stood up to walk out of the office. I opened the door.

"And Ysa...," Uncle Luc began, making me halt and turn to face him, "please, do not go to Sicily and put yourself in any kind of danger. We don't want the past with Dante and Enzo to repeat itself now, do we?"

"All the passengers for the flight 0400 to Sicily, please line up at terminal 4. I repeat, all the passengers for the flight 0400 to Sicily, please line up at terminal 4."

As you can see, I'm not the person to follow rules.

Gripping my black leather backpack tighter, I got up from the sofa and walked out of the VIP lounge and made my way to terminal 4.

Thankfully, I was the first one in line.

I got into the flight and sauntered towards the first class section. I sat down on my seat and flung my backpack on the ground.

I took out my phone and sent a quick message on the 'Family Group 😝', which consisted of mom, dad, Uncle Luc, Tante Rylee, Uncle Ford, Aunt Sky, Xena, Gabriel, Kyle, Logan, Alexei, and me.

Yep, it was a huge group.

We believed that blood makes you related, and loyalty makes you family.

Kyle and Logan were Tante Ryl's best friends and Alexei was their adopted son. Uncle Ford and aunt Skylar were dad's best friends.

'Guys, I'm going to Sicily.'

I clicked sent and shut my eyes tightly, bracing myself for the huge scolding from Tante Rylee, Uncle Luc, and my mom and dad. Oh, and also Gab.

Not a second later I heard several 'ping' notifications from my phone.

Taking a deep breath, I peeled my eyes open and gazed back at the screen.

I gulped seeing mom's message.

Everybody gangsta until Mom says your full name.

I chuckled and grinned at Logan, Alexei, and dad's messages.

I switched off my phone and leaned back on the seat as the plan started to accelerate.

Unlike many, I loved take-offs.

It brings a rush of adrenaline through me.

Soon enough, the plane was in the air.

I could've used my private jet, however I wanted to keep my trip to Sicily low-profile.

Ah, back in Sicily...

The place Xena and I escaped from 3 years back.

3 whole years.

Wow.

One question was bugging me. Actually, 3:

Was it Enzo who kidnapped Xena? Was Xena kidnapped at all? Did Dante remember me?

Sighing, I hailed a taxi.

"Where to, ma'am?" The driver asked.

"Are there any nice cafes nearby?" I asked him. I was famished.

He nodded. "Yeah, there's a coffee house called the 'Coffee Bar'. The ratings are good. I'll drop you there?"

I nodded with a polite smile and got into the cab.

Few minutes later, the cab stopped.

He motioned to the coffee house on the other side of the road.

"Thank you," I smiled and paid him the fee.

I got out of the cab and gazed around.

Sicily was truly a beautiful city.

I waited for the traffic signal to turn red so I could cross the road.

Ugh, I was so impatient.

Finally, the sign changed from green to red. I pulled the straps of my backpack tightly and began crossing the road.

Suddenly, I heard a LOUD honking sound.

I whipped my face to the right and saw an effing Royal Enfield dashing towards me with extreme speed.

Oh damn, Royal Enfield Classis 350. My loveeee-

Gosh, I'm about to die and here I'm thinking about the bike-

Holy shite-

I'm gonna die!

I shut my eyes tightly, bracing myself for the impact of the bike, waiting for it to just crash into me..

But it never came.

The ear-piercing screeching sound of the tires was heard.

I slowly peeled my eyes open and saw that the bike had stopped just few inches away from me.

Oh, thank god.

I sighed in relief.

The person riding the bike, removed his helmet harshly and got off the bike.

I didn't look directly at him and instead diverted my attention to the sky.

Ah, such a lovely weathe-

"Are you out of your mind?! What were you thinking standing in front of my bike like that?! If you wanted to die, don't do it in front of my bike at least! Look at me while I'm talking to you!"

Who the hell does he think he is shouting at me like that?

That voice did sound somewhat familiar...

Gritting my teeth in anger, I swiveled around to face him to give him a piece of my mind, and holy mother of Jesus...

My eyes locked gaze with the familiar, deadly, grey ones.

"Dante..."
