《Devil's Rebellious Queen》Chapter 5

I walked out of the room, locking the door behind me.

Gosh, that spitfire is gonna be the death of me.

"Fabio!" I called out, fixing the watch on my wrist. Seconds later, he came running towards me.

"Si, don," He said, bowing a bit.

"Xena's in the room. If she tries to escape, inform me. And yes, instruct Aria to give her lunch after an hour, alright?" I instructed and Fabio nodded.

"Don, if you don't mind me asking, who is she?"

"Your donna."

His eyes widened. "Oh okay. Uh, I'll inform Aria," He said and walked away.

He was shocked.

Why wouldn't he be? I was the one who never wanted a Donna but after seeing her, my queen, my Xena, I decided that she would rule the mafia along with me. I asked my men to research about her and I stunned to know that she was the American mafia princess.

"Enzo!" I heard someone yell. I abruptly stopped walking and turned around to see Matteo and Dante running towards me.

Idiots.

Irritation cascaded down on me once I saw those two.

"You thought you would go to the meeting without us?" Dante asked, raising his brow.

I nodded and their jaws dropped.

"Well, we're coming with you," Matteo announced, getting into the backseat of my car.

Dante followed him. Grumbling under my breath, I got into the driver's seat and roared it to life.

"Matteo, where's Serena?" I asked to make sure she wasn't unattended.

"Don't worry. She's locked in my mansion," he replied with a smirk.

"Oooh, Matteo, guess what?" Dante asked excitedly.

Matteo shrugged, drinking a sip of water.

"Enzo found our Donna."

The moment Dante said that, Matteo spat out the water right on his face.

"What?!" he yelled in disbelief, "Enzo, the most merciless, diabolical, devilish, person I know, has found his donna?!"

I pressed the brakes and turned around.

"So I'm the most diabolical and devilish person you know, huh?" I asked Matteo sharply.

"You forgot merciless," Dante piped in making me glare at him.

"What?" He asked innocently, "I was just stating facts."

"So, what's her name?" Matteo asked, jumping excitedly on the seat.

"Xena," I replied, restarting the car again.

"Xena...I think I've heard of someone with that name. Oh, the American mafia princess is Xena as well!" Matteo said, nodding to himself.

"Precisely," I muttered, taking a sharp turn to the right.

Matteo furrowed his brows but then, his face paled. "Don't tell me that your Xena is the Xena King."

"Alright. I won't tell you," I said with a shrug and Dante burst out laughing.

"No, no. I mean tell me!" Matteo corrected.

"Yes, my Xena is the mafia princess," I confessed and a bloodcurdling shriek left Matteo's mouth.

"ARE YOU CRAZY? LOCO!? ENZO, SHE IS THE BLOODY MAFIA PRINCESS! HER DAD IS LUCIFER KING! THE LUCIFER KING! HE WILL KILL US IN A MATTER OF SECONDS ONCE HE FINDS THIS OUT!"

I pressed the brakes again and turned to face Matteo.

"Stop. Shouting," I gritted, "and I don't give a damn what her dad does. I'll deal with it."

Saying that, I started the car again.

"He's gone mad," Matteo muttered under his breath.

I parked the car outside the gate and strode right into the meeting hall.

I had a meeting with the Spanish.

Everyone stood up in respect and fear making me smirk. I sat down on the chair at the head of the table and crossed my right foot over my left knee.

I raised my hand and they all sat back down. Dante sat on my right and Matteo sat on my left.

One guy stood up. He was the underboss of one of the local gangs in Italy. A powerful gang, but not as powerful as the mafia.

"Good afternoon, Don," He began but I cut him off.

"Don't waste my time in formalities. Come to the fucking point," I snapped and he nodded meekly.

"We-we wanted to borrow drugs," he said, looking down.

"Hmmm," I scratched my chin, "and when are you going to pay the money you owe me, first?"

He looked surprised because he thought I forgot all about the deal. I had given the gang a loan of $5 million 6 months back, but yet they failed to repay it.

"Uh, soon," He replied, gulping.

I sighed.

"You people never learn," I muttered and raised my gun and pulled the trigger, shooting him twice in the chest.

His eyes widened and he fell down on the ground with a thud. Everyone who witness this were shocked and petrified.

"Tell your boss to repay my money within a month otherwise I will attack his empire and remove the trace of your gang, you hear me?" I growled and they nodded in fright.

"Good. Now leave," I gritted out and everyone instantly rushed out of the hall.

"Matteo, you go to the office and train the newbies. Meanwhile, I'll go home," I ordered him . He nodded with a groan.

I walked out with Dante, straightening my suit. I got into my car along with him and drove back home. I was excited as Xena would be waiting for me. My mind drifted back to when I first saw her. She may not have remembered it, but I did.

I chased after Ryan as he ran into the deserted alley. Dante, Matteo and 5 of my men followed me behind. Before he could escape, I caught up with him and punched him hardly. Ryan fell to the ground with a loud groan.

"Where is my money?" I asked, walking in circles around him.

He stayed silent so I raised my hand, giving a painful smack on his jaw. He groaned and clutched it.

"Dante, give me the knife," I asked with a sly smirk.

He grinned back and placed the shiny beauty in my hand. I traced his cheek with it. I added pressure which resulted in blood dripping out and he shrieked loudly.

"Pl-please, let me go!" He begged.

"I gave you the money 4 months back. Where is it?" I asked coldly, scarring his face with a sharp cut.

He yelled in agony. "I ha-" Ryan was about to reply when a voice cut him off.

"Excuse me? What the fuck is happening here?" A voice asked as I heard footsteps nearing us.

A figure stood forth but I couldn't make out the appearance due to the midnight darkness. The person stepped forward and the street lamp fell directly on the face making my breath hitch.

She was mesmerizing. Her light brown locks of hair. Dazzling blue eyes.

"What are you doing to him?!" She yelled and ran to Ryan who was lying on the floor with blood splattered around him. Did she know him?

"What did you do to him you bastard?!" She yelled at me.

I saw Dante raise his gun at her from the corner of my eyes but I motioned him to lower it. He hesitantly obliged.

"I'm asking you something!" She yelled.

No one ever talked to me like this before.

"Do you know him?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"He is a close friend of mine. Why did you beat him?" She gritted out.

"Close friend, or a boyfriend?" I asked walking closer to her.

The thought of her having a boyfriend boiled my blood.

"He is not my boyfriend and even if he was, that's none of your fucking business!" She gritted.

Mhm, so my angel has a personality of a devil, eh? Il mio diavolo...

(My devil)

"Well, your friend owes me money," I spoke up.

"How much?"

I smirked. "You wouldn't be able to pay that much."

"I asked, how much?" She repeated.

This amused me but nevertheless, I answered. "$100,00."

I expected her to look shocked or surprised but she didn't move a muscle.

Instead, she removed something from her pocket.

A cheque.

She took out a pen from the pocket as well and signed something on it, and later placed it in my hands.

"Happy? I paid it in his behalf," She said sarcastically.

"Alright, love," I said with a grin.

"Don't call me that, you bastard," She growled.

When she said that, Dante stepped forward with a murderous look. He raised his hand to slap her but she caught it midway and twisted it behind his back.

"Work on your attack," She whispered and pushed him on the ground harshly. I stood there, stunned.

So she fights, I see...

I motioned 5 of my men to attack. I wanted to see her strength.

I expected her to back off but she smirked instead. Luigi stepped forth and tried kicking her guts but she was fast enough to punch his jaw. Damn, that was a hard one.

One by one, she kept fighting my men and won. After she was done, my mouth hung open.

"If you're done with your childish fights, I'm going. Next time, don't step a foot in France unless you want to die the most painful death," She threatened.

She helped Ryan get up and he held onto her for support. I fisted my hands in anger as I watched them walk away.

"You may have escaped now, mi amore. But in the future, you won't," I whispered and then turned to my men who laid down on the ground, injured.

"I want every information about that girl by tomorrow, is that understood?" I asked sternly. Despite being injured, everyone muttered a 'yes'.

"Enzo, why do you wanna know about her?" Dante asked curiously. I smirked.

"I want her. She will be mine, my queen, my Donna."

I drove into the estate and parked my car in front of the mansion. Tucking the car-keys into my pocket, I walked in. The guards and maids lowered their heads in submission making me smirk.

I went straight to my bedroom with an excited smile and opened the door. My heart dropped. Xena wasn't in.

My heart stopped beating for a bloody second.

Where is she?

I scanned the empty room one last time before coming to the conclusion that she escaped.

How dare she?

Controlling my anger, I rushed out of the room.

"Fabio! Dante!" I called out loudly, fisting my hands.

Seconds later, they both came running with a confused look.

"Si, Don?" Fabio asked.

"Where is she?" I gritted out.

"Who?" He asked, looking confused.

"Xena. Where is she? Didn't I tell you to inform me when she escapes?!"

"But she didn't step out of the house," He said with a perplexing look.

I frowned and ran back to the room but found it empty. I opened the bathroom but again, she wasn't inside.

"Are you sure you didn't see her?" I asked again and Fabio nodded.

I then turned to Dante. "Have you seen her?"

He shook his head.

"What about Ysaline? Is she there?" I asked.

"Yes, she's perfectly present in my room."

I groaned. Xena, just you wait.

I was about to call out to my guards when Aria, the head maid, came running towards me with a murderous look.

She glared at all 3 of us and smacked my head hardly.

"Ow! What was that for?" I whined.

"The girl is sleeping so peacefully on the sofa and here you 3 are making so much noise," she scolded, looking distastefully at Fabio, Dante and I.

"What? What girl-" I was about to ask but then it struck me.

I ran to the hall as fast as I could, sighing loudly in relief as I saw the view in front of me.

Xena was cuddled up in the fluffy blankets on the sofa, looking angelic. Her legs were dangling of the sofa's end while her arms were hugging the pillow tightly.

I kneeled down and held her soft hands in mine and kissed them gently.

"You scared the hell out of me," I whispered as to not wake her up.

I picked her up in bridal style and walked to our bedroom. I gently placed her on the bed and covered her with the soft duvets. She mumbled something inaudible in her sleep and then turned to the right. I smiled and walked out of the room.

"So, is she the future Donna?" Aria asked excitedly as I walked into the hall. I nodded and she squealed.

"Ah, she is so beautiful!" she said with a smile.

"How did she land up in the sofa?" I asked curiously.

"Well, she told me she was hungry so I made her a bowl of pasta. She then watched a movie and fell asleep," Aria finished.

I nodded and hummed.

"Uh, Aria...," I called out.

"Yes?"

"Um, how did you fall in love with Giovanni?" I asked, extremely embarrassed to ask that.

Giovanni was her husband and the best sharp shooter in my mafia. She chuckled.

"Well, he took me out for dates, movies. We cuddled all night. I felt safe around him, I felt wanted. Something I never felt before I met him. Life with him was exciting. I can't imagine living without him," She said with a smile.

I smiled back.

Aria, Dante and Xena are the only ones who can make me smile.

"Oh, and yes. He asked me out on a date like a normal person, and didn't kidnap me!" She suddenly yelled, making me jump.

Bipolar much.

I sighed.

"Alright. What do you want for dinner?" She asked.

What is with this woman?

Her mood swings are like a pregnant woman's.

I shrugged. "Anything but make sure it's vegetarian."

Why?" She asked confusedly, as I loved non-veg food.

"Xena is veg," I replied simply.

"So you can turn veg for her?" She asked incredulously.

I nodded and she looked shocked. Obviously she would be.

I loved meat but for my queen, I could do anything. Anything. But I can't let her go.

"Alright. I'm gonna make something Chinese," she said, nodding to herself and walked to the kitchen.

I went to our bedroom and saw her sleeping peacefully.

Smiling to myself, I laid down beside her and pulled Xena closer to me. In some time, I too fell asleep. The best sleep I ever had.

"Wake up fainéante!," I heard someone say.

Groggily, I opened my eyes and saw Xena glaring daggers at me.

"Did you just say I fainted?" I asked in confusion, thinking about what she called me.

She rolled her eyes. "You idiot, I called you fainéante."

"What does that even mean?"

"Lazybones," She said with a grin and I glared at her.

Soon, amusement vanished from her eyes and got replaced by anger.

"How dare you sleep with me?" She snapped.

"It's my house, cara mia," I whispered, pulling her back down.

"Good. Then lemme go," She whined.

"Nope," I replied, popping the 'p'.

"Enzo, this is just a temporary attraction," She explained, "It'll go away in a day or two."

This made my blood boil and her pushed her down on the bed and straddled her. I leaned down dangerously close.

"Listen, amore. This is not a mild attraction but is something way more than that," I whispered.

"Infatuation?"

"No, babe. It's love."

Her eyes widened. "You can't love someone you don't even know," She scoffed in disbelief, "this is an obsession!"

"I agree. I am obsessively in love with you," I said, kissing her cheek.

She groaned. "Enzo, just let me go. You're not 5-year old kid who is stubborn and adamant to get everything you wish for," She tried reasoning.

"I want you, I got you," I shrugged.

"That's bullshit logic!" She yelled and shoved me down on the hard floor.

I groaned and rubbed my arm. "Listen, Enzo. Let me go. We can be friends, you know?" She suggested.

"No," I shook my head, "I want us to be way more than that."

She groaned and slumped her shoulders.

"Alright, cara mia. Go get ready for dinner," I said, kissing her addictive lips one last time before walking out of the room.
